Italy, literally, imported to Omaha! Imported Brick Oven; imported Italian flour for pasta & dough; Fresh, Fresh, On Fleek Ingredients! Imported Italian or hand-made, in-house cheeses! Anything they can import from Italy, they do! Had Lunch: Raviolo, hand-made pasta filled with traditional in-house made ricotta cheese & egg yoke. So well season, layers of flavor in every bite! Calamari, fresh, lightly fried, sauce (with a bit of heat) underneath! Cannot wait to go back and try a variety of pasta dishes! Pizza, seen being served, appeared to be a few levels above other attempts at traditional pizza found in Omaha! Great comfortable decor, music just south of Blue Barn Theatres new location! Enjoy! How does one explain, eating at the same restaurant 4 out of the last six days? Via Farina! (Please note, if not already updated: Hours include SUNDAY 12pm - 8pm; MONDAY 5pm - 11pm) The main reason for my frequency is FLAVOR that lingers, psychologically, to the next day. Beyond that the Great SERVICE, the ideal portions, the balance of sauce/ragu to pasta & other items is perfect & the aforementioned Layers of Flavor from Fresh Ingredients, herbs & seasoning! Im a cancer survivor & radiation treatments (the most sadistic form of treatment in modern(?) medicine) directed on my throat has left me with not being able to eat normally for over 3yrs now. Eventually, Ive gained back enough moisture to masticate vegetables & some seafood. As these items generally retain enough natural moisture to supplement what my glands cannot produce (and we all take for granted until hit with this type of treatment) In the last yr or so Ive discovered that the fresher the ingredients the less moisture required to pre-digest. (Apologies for medical details, I know, not very appetizing) Yet when I discover a Restaurant that truly uses the freshest of ingredients, nothing fresh/frozen I can identify the difference in a heartbeat. So far, Ive had the Calamari twice, BIGOLI white bolognese , piave di vecchio; RIGATONI chicken liver ragu, thyme; TAJARIN parmesan crema , crab. olive oil , parsley; Egg Yolk RAVIOLO ricotta , sage , brown butter and every single one has make me so happy while & after consuming! Its almost as if the flavors are helping me to produce more "moisture"! And no, its not as easy as just drinking something to wash down the food, such also washes away ones natural moisture production. Yet, Via Farinas food allows me to drink along with my meal and still eat like a normal person. Also, if youve ever had a meal where something delays your time eating (conversations, dry throat, etc.) that the food cools off and just doesnt taste as flavorful as when piping hot? Via Farinas food is so well prepared it tastes wonderful all the way through to the bottom of your dish, cooled off or not!

crust was doughy in the middle and burnt black in patches on the outside. crust had no yeast bubbles whatsoever. in their defense, i went on a friday night right before closing, perhaps they were out of their advertised crispy dough. the facility is modern, hip, and a great place to chill and have a nice conversation with their friendly and accommodating staff. when the burnt undercooked pizza arrived, a young man looked at it and asked, "is this okay for you." Im sure they wouldve made me another, but if the dough has no yeast bubbles what is the point? I will come back earlier some other day when i visit omaha, to try again, but my first visit left me unimpressed with their dough.

Great concept. The service was fine. However not sure I need to go back. I realize that the amount of food does not mean I had a good meal. I ordered the pasta with crab. When my meal came I was very surprised by two things. Again, I know the amount of the serving is not indicative of the quality of the meal, but I literally had a scoop of pasta in my orange bowl. Additionally there were two pieces of crab. That was a little surprising to me. I know crab is expensive. I was expecting to have a little more crab for $14.00. Our server was very nice and attentive. Im just sure I can recommend Via Farina at this time. I hope they are successful.

The host essentially told us they dont seat groups of 5 or more we had to suggest sitting at one of the empty tables outside and he reluctantly agreed. We went at 6:15 and when they brought the menus out the first thing they said was they ran out of dough and no pizza would be served. Really ? Thats like Burger King running out of burgers. We were limited to the pasta dish which for 14.00 was the shape if a salted nut roll, more like an appetizer portion than an entry and with no salad or bread it was an overall disappointing experience from start to finish. Wont be back should always stick with Malaras

This is an up and coming Italian place that really strives for an authentic feel. The food is a bit on the pricey side, but most of it is good. Their pizza dough/crust is probably the best Ive ever had on a pizza. While our server was excellent and attentive, they delivered my pizza to the wrong table, and messed up the check while splitting it, placing the entirety of the service charge on one bill. Overall, I like the place though, and Id probably go back. Be warned, it can get a bit crowded on the weekend so if thats not your dining preference, look elsewhere.

Dinner for two on a Monday night was fantastic! We had the broccolini, the corzetti pasta, and the Spinto pizza (had a surprising hint of buffalo sauce (?) spiciness, but it worked well). I had a glass of the Spanna wine and an espresso to finish it all up. Service was quick -- I was surprised that the pizza came out right after the broccolini and before the pasta, but it was fun to eat it all together family-style -- and everyone was very friendly. Cant wait for the dessert menu to be added to the experience!

Its okay, nothing amazing. The food has good flavor, but the online menu didnt match the menu available in the restaurant which was disappointing (they no longer make the fried dough), and the service is mediocre. The original server we had was not attentive even though the restaurant was not busy. We ordered the breaded risotto and asked for more sauce and they charged us for it.

Real, good, Italian menu. The food is great! Good selection of drinks, priced well but they can do better in selecting servers (nothing wrong with them but they just dont fit within the Italian restaurant design/atmosphere). Also, the table where we set was wobbly. Other than that, everything else looked pretty pretty good. Nice job!

Great atmosphere , staff and food. Love the different kinds of pizza and the fun menu choices. Cozy place great for dates and small families. If your group is bigger than 4 I would make a reservation. If you go with a group definitely order several dishes and pizzas so you can try everything they offer. It is all very good.

Another great place in Omaha for wood fired pizza. We were a party of 4 seated within a few inches of a party of 2. There were other places the 2 top party could have been seated to allow everyone a small measure of privacy. But all in all, we had a good experience and will return to try their pasta.
