Great food. Crappy location. Its on the north side of I-44 and Harvard. The road construction is awful. Not the restaruants fault, I know. Just thought is was worth mentioning. This place was great. A lot of people assume that the service in a Mexican restaurant is going to be lacking. I am one of those people, but it really wasnt here. They have an army of servers roaming the dinning room. I never saw one stand still unless they were taking a tables order. They serve each table their own little bottle of salsa, which I thought was an interesting way to control portions. The chips and salsa were good, we also shared a queso. It was nice, hot (temp not spice), and creamy. Our entrees came out fast. I ordered off the lunch menu, a #9 I think. It had a taco, burrito, and an enchilada; all three beef. The sauce on top of the burrito was diffrent than the enchilada, but I really liked both. My sister had a similar platter, but Im not sure what it was exactly. She also enjoyed it. Although I didnt have a drink, they had a pretty good selection of margaritas and a full bar, which by the way, looked inviting. Over all, I think Im glad I went out of my way and into the construction to try El Tequila. From what I understand they have several locations around the Tulsa area. Ill probably be finding more of them soon,

The service is sometimes lacking, but they try hard. The food gets out fast and as long as you make no changes to the order it is great. Every time I have tried to special order or make a change to the way it would normally come out it is wrong. I eventually gave up on special ordering and found something that I love just the way it is listed and never had another problem with my order being wrong. Everyone that works there is constantly moving and they are moving fast, the restaurant is very large so even if the line is to the door because they move so fast and the location is so large the line will move fast. I would say it is worth trying out and they also have cheap margaritas!

The food was decent but the service was horrible. The waiter forgot to put in that we wanted chicken quesadillas so they only had cheese on them. Instead of offering to have them remade he brought out a separate plate of chicken and asked that we put it on their ourselves. He also asked if we wanted certain options on what we ordered, but failed to tell us they would be an additional charge. I never received my debit card back. When I called up to ask if it was there the person on the phone asked why I was just now calling to ask for it back, instead of sorry that we failed to give your debit card back. Very unsatisfied with the service at this restaurant!

Food decent. Went for lunch.. got fajitas. They gave me 2 tortillas.. which clearly would not me enough considering the amount of food.. so I asked for more.. needless to say. They charge for each single tortilla... server asked if I wanted some to go. My answer yes. Not once did they say it will be extra. And on top of that they charge me for premium tequila shot when they gave me house... they need to get it together... I knew I should have just went to Chuys where food is way better and they dont sneak charges on your tab!! Never going back

Losing a star for updated review but its good food.. Tulsa may have more good mexican food restaurants but El Tequila would be my preference over most OKC Mexican however they do not hand mix margaritas. The only margarita option is the acidic pre-mix style which is more often than not far less palatable. Our waiter seemed to have a poor attitude & frustrated demeanor. Corn tortillas were not delivered in timely manner. Asked for them twice before meal arrived and food was served without these. Had to ask a 3rd time when food was served.

This is a beautiful building with even better service. We didnt wait for ANYTHING when we ate here. We had chips and salsa within seconds of being seated at our table, drinks the next minute and refills before our glasses were even half empty. All of the wait staff work together and let me tell ya, its a beautiful thing! They have lunch specials for only 4.99 (hellooooo?!) and like I said before, you cant beat the food or the service! Id give this place 6 stars if I could!- Hopefully it will STAY this good!

Best waiter ever but when asked to sing happy B-Day to me n my 11yr old son who was also born on the same day the little waitress who came to sing said we were lying in spanish! Little did she know my husband may look white but is mexican.he listened to everything she was saying then waited until the song was over n confronted her about it .best look on her face ever .The manager did a great job addressing our concerns.

I love the food here for dinner. Best queso in Tulsa super friendly and fast. HOWEVER they were STELLAR when I used them to cater and event for 80 people. They were excellent the food delicious they even included servers to serve the food and warming dishes and they cleaned up everything afterwards!! And in typically fashion they left so fast I couldnt even tip them. Would definitely recommend!

There are several El Tequilas around, but this is the flagship El Tequila restaurant now. The food is great/inexpensive. If you dont get full here, something is wrong with you. The service is fast and friendly. I think I saw one waiter carry 8 or 9 plates of food on one arm! The parking lot is ALWAYS full--there is hardly ever a wait to get in--which should tell you that the food is good.

Maybe the best service I have ever had!! Alberto was our waiter, and even though there were 5 at out table - he anticipated every single chip refill, drink refill, everything! The food is great and at a GREAT price, the ambience of the restaurant is pretty neat on the inside, and overall a really awesome experience. Do yourself a favor - give this place a try! (Their queso is INCREDIBLE!)

My favorite thing about this place is their food is consistent. Youre not going to have something taste wonderful one visit and be bad the next. I have yet to try something and not actually liked it. The service here is incredible! The servers are lightening fast. You will most likely walk in to a line of people waiting to be seated, but the line is rarely more than 20 minutes.

Service is excellent: prompt, attentive, with an emphasis on fast. The interior is clean and the indoor fountain is nice. Food is mediocre. The portions are large, the chips are fresh, but the entrees are greasier than they look. Youll feel it later. The high 4 out of 5 rating is perplexing. Tulsa has better Mexican food. El Tequilas falls in the middle of the pack.

Every meal Ive had is excellent. When they say carne asada, it means steak cut into chunks. Not thin gristle and fat. When they say 3 chicken tacos, it means 3 large tacos stuffed with marinated, seasoned, and grilled chicken breast. The restaurant is consistently busy and they are expanding to a third location. I recommend getting here at 11 - 11:30 to beat the crowd.
