I adore Hebrews Coffee! But where do I start with telling you how amazing it is? Probably by starting with the basics. From the espresso (which is a wonderful bean, and good crema) to the brewed coffee (which I think is a lost art,) their coffee quality is superb. No matter what you order, and Ive been down the menu a good bit, you will not be disappointed...I enjoy getting their bottomless cup of brewed Joe. Satisfying. Then, theres atmosphere and service. The place is immaculate, and has this really great vibe. Local art - Very earthy. Each one of their baristas is trained well, in delivering a great beverage experience, and great customer service, too. Then, if you decide to venture outside of coffee, and onto their extensive menu, you will not be disappointed there, either! Their breakfast croissant is my favorite (and I dont want to forget about the Mixed Berry Muffin - AMAZING,) but their sandwiches are really tasty...and decently priced. The kitchen does a fabulous job. Ive brought friends and clients there for a great meal, and incredible coffee. I will say one more thing about Hebrews. You can walk into a wonderful coffee shop, order a great drink, lunch, etc...But the people can ruin your experience. Weve visited other shops in town, and as much as their menu, and coffee are quality, their people can be a bit intimidating and uninviting. At Hebrews, you will find nothing of the sort!! Kevin, Jennifer, and Austin (most of the the time, that is who you will see behind the counter,) are some of the nicest, kindest, and fun people in Springfield. Beyond the coffee, they ARE Hebrews...

Not the greatest. They only have one real espresso maker, which is high quality but it explains the rather long wait times. I had the cinnamon latte. It wasnt completely unpleasant but was too sweet for me. Im not sure if this is just my taste buds since I normally only drink black coffee with some half & half (no sugar) but it was strangely sweet to me. I was imagining a latte with a sprinkling of good quality cinnamon on top, so the sugar surprised me. Husband had the Frappe - a sort of frappucino drink that only comes in one flavor and one size. Dont expect to get what you paid for. This drink is WAY TOO expensive - $4.50 for 12oz. And the fact that all it is is espresso, milk, ice, and some simple syrup spun up in a smoothie maker makes the ridiculous price way overcharged. Was not impressed. If we ever happen to go back (doubt it) Ill try a normal cappucino. My husband has no interest in returning, however. Also we did not care for the atmosphere. I am only 29 years old, yet we felt completely out of place with the so-called "trendy" crowd of Mac-users and studying students. Ive never understood the point of working like that in public. Seems odd to us. Overall 3/5 stars. Well stick to percolating and using the Aeropress at home and wont be returning anytime soon, unfortunately. Also, the coffee was rather weak tasting.

OK folks, I live in Stuttgart, Germany, and make my own latte with Moevenpick "cafe creme" whole beans I grind with a burr grinder every morning with my own Italian Giotto Evolutione espresso machine. I had a latte two days in a row at Hebrews Coffee. The first one was a large with beautiful latte art. The barista was very friendly. At the second visit I told him that the coffee flavor was very weak in the large latte from the previous day and he recommended other beans and the smaller size cup so that the coffee flavor would be more intense. But to my surprise, the flavor was beyond weak! Now this is the absolute truth without exaggeration: if I had been blindfolded I would not have been able to identify the flavor as coffee. Europeans are so much more advanced with their standard coffee drinks. I dont usually drink just plain coffe as my wife does. She has always complained that coffee in the USA is way too weak -- "dishwater." All I can say is, oh the flavor you are missing in the USA!

First time customer. The girl at the counter was very indifferent to my existences. When she finally ask what I wanted, she entered it in the computer, spun it around for me to sign and walked away. I added a $2 tip to my $11 order. We ordered a House Cup and a cup of tea. They set a cup of hot water on the counter and walked away. I waited and waited as the Barista served latte after Latte then I asked about my coffee and was told they person that took my order was supposed to give it to me, The Barista saw me there wait between 5 to 10 minutes and never asked why. In the end it was just a cup of coffee. The store was dark and uninviting. I wish I had my $2 back.

Hebrews Coffee is a great place to stop, not only for coffee and espresso, but for wonderful sandwiches, soups and salads as well. The bread is homemade daily and the ingredients are the best. You can taste the love that goes into it. Those who put together the espresso drinks are knowledgeable and adventurous if you want them to be. They will put together your favorite, or they can also invent something in your honor! All the coffees are top quality, and the service is superb. If that wasnt enough, you are also surrounded by beautiful art displayed on site. You can absorb the culture as you surf the net, in a cozy, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere!

In Springfield coffee shops are almost as frequent as Chinese restaurants or Walgreens. So - saying this is the best coffee shop in town is saying something! The atmosphere is simple & trendy with free WiFi. The employees are extremely friendly, which is very refreshing with other shops too hip to make conversation. The best part - the Coffee & Food! They make the best Specialty coffees & even their drip coffee has a "fresh" taste. Not a burnt taste like those other places. Try the blueberry scones - they will change your life. If you havent checked out Hebrews Coffee - go NOW, you wont be disappointed.

This was a cute little shop that we stopped at while traveling to get coffee. the atmosphere was cute and upon entering I was very impressed! However, while the barista was kind he spoke to me in somewhat condescending manner when I was asking about coffee brews and then when I requested a pour over he only filled my cup up 2/3 of the way. I had asked for cream...but holy cow...not 1/3 of a cup of cream. I didnt try the food but they look very unique and I would be interested to try it. If I am in the area I would give this place another chance. the name is cute... "He-brews" ;)

Hebrews is an all-around excellent coffee shop. Their coffee and espresso is excellent, and they have a really good roaster as their source of beans. Their food is also really good, and their scones are legendary. This is a family-owned and operated establishment with a lot of space for a relaxing break with a book, conversation with friends, checking out the beautiful artwork they have hanging, and even for larger group meetings. The have WiFi available, and on weekends they have music as well. Great place, and I highly recommend stopping in whenever you have the opportunity!
