i arrived here after getting dinner with two of my friends to study. we arrived at approx. 8:30 pm and set our things down at a table and went to the counter to order our drinks. there wasnt an emplyee in sight but we figured that they were possibly in the back or cleaning the bathrooms or something reasonable. we were wrong. after about 3 minutes of talking, laughing and being particularly loud we began to look around to look for any sign of an employee. one of the friends that i was with peered over the counter to find that an employee was sitting crouched in the counter space, fiddling with her phone looking bored out of her mind(pictured) . now, im not the type of person to write a bad review or try to get anyone in trouble, but what happened next was absolutely unreasonable. we attempted to get her attention but she was too fixated on her phone, and wasnt listening enough to notice that she had three eager customers growing increasingly impatient. we began a time clock on my phone to see just how long we would be ignored as customers. I ended the time clock at approx 26 minutes, 30 minutes after we had arrived and initially tried to get an employees attention. a group of rowdy college students (probably only about a year or two older than my friends and I) walked in and she coincidently emerged from the counter as they arrived and said, funny seeing you guys here! and made them their drinks. it was obvious they knew eachother and they left soon after. the same friend that had stood up there with me, decided she was still going to get a drink. she ordered an iced chai tea latte. now, im no barista but i know enough about drink making to know that the chai mix should be blended with the milk, instead of the chai being sunk to the bottom with a sea of milk hocering above(pictured). thats just not my kind of drink.

I came in here after getting breakfast somewhere else to study with a friend. My friend bought coffee, and we studied for a while without any problems. Then, however, somebody who appeared to be the manager came up and told me that I had to buy something or leave. I said fine, just let my friend finish what hes doing and then well go. He came back within a couple of minutes and said that this was not a hypothetical, I really had to buy something or leave, adding at the end "This isnt a college, this isnt an all-inclusive environment." Although I figured that it would be all right to just sit with my friend, I understand the need to defend their seating for paying customers. I was happy to leave when asked. However, the tone of voice with which I was accused of bumming, and the way he somehow needed to insert politics into the issue, left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. Perhaps this isnt an "all-inclusive environment", but that doesnt mean that people in said environment should be treated like horrible human beings.

Literally the biggest waste of time. 3.50$ for a large drink thats literally hardly bigger than the small. The lady took a while to make our drinks saw me holding a card on my hand the whole time than proceeds to tell us o we only take cash or check. Literally poor excuse of a place to sell coffee. The only reason they are still open is due to the high volume of college students dumb enough to go there. Would rather spend my money at Starbucks for the fake coffee they have. What a joke.

Great place to do a little work, with a nice selection of coffee and tea. Definitely the "eclectic" coffeehouse in Northfield. Comfy seating and a variety of tables make this a popular meeting spot. If you need peace and quiet to work, not the place to be. If you thrive on the "coffeehouse" vibe, this is great! Discounts for using a reusable cup.

Points for a rad atmosphere, but coffee was a little rough. Ordered a simple latte, which is hard to mess up, but this is probably the second worst Ive ever had. Staff was also pretty rude when asked about the beans they sell. The woman at the counter didnt want to answer any questions.

Coffee was fresh and the price was fair. Full flavor and quality you expect. The seating was very limited and had to share a less than desirable couch cushion. Ended up meeting new people and having nice conversation so it worked out. Will be back.

Hands down the best coffee shop atmosphere Ive ever found. Part of that is nostalgia; I spent a lot of time here. But its a seriously comfortable space and Ive never found another place like it. The coffees really good too, but short of world-class.

As a caffeine addict, I have frequented every coffee shop in Northfield. However, Blue Monday is by far the best place I have ever had the privilege of enjoying a cup of java! They also have delicious bakery treats baked fresh in-house every day!

One of the best coffee shops in town! Often frequented by college students and faculty. Funky wall art, great drink variety, and chill atmosphere. Great place for chatting with friends or doing work.

Super! Very friendly. Clean. They want to make you happy. Anything you need, theyll try their best to make it. They dont take credit cards, but that didnt bother me. Loved it there!

Its a great place to work. Good coffee, good internet, a decent number of outlets and the staff are nice. Can sometimes get crowded with college students during their term.

Wish theyd bite the bullet and accept debit cards like everyone else. Kind of a bummer when a business puts themselves first in a blatant way such as this.

Met a friend here once, and would definitely come back. Had the horchata smoothie... delicious! Comfy seating for working, studying, or chatting.

Parking isnt the best because the place is always so busy but the reason everyone enjoys it because their coffee is positively excellent.

Good Iced Carmel Latte; but I should have gotten the Chia Latte (tried the wifes and it was by far the best one Ive ever tasted).

Love this place! Really great coffee. However, its bad for lactose intolerant people. Also, its a pain to bring cash

Nice atmosphere, but worst horchata I have ever had! The mocha was pretty good and the music playing was excellent!

They have coffee, yes, but the chocolate chip pecan cookie is a good choice to add to that coffee.
