There are highs and lows associated with this location. To start, the pharmacy at this location is top notch. It is due to the quality of its staff and in my opinion they are the best in Springfield. I have been a customer for 5 years and they go above and beyond to care for their prescription customers. NOW FOR THE LOWS..... 1) you can always find wilted vegetables somewhere in the produce section. Whether it be the green chilies or the fresh herbs or just last night (2/7/11) the shriveled stir fry vegetables. YUK! 2) Dirty carts.....I find trash in the majority of the carts just inside the door (Starbucks coffee cups, sale fliers or empty food wrappers) in additional to the normal dust and dirt from being left outside. Why do I want to put the food I feed my family into dirty carts. I DONT! 3) Poor stock rotation. I found breakfast sausage for sale past its recommended sale date and most trips I can find 1 gallon milk containers for sale with up to 3 different sell by dates. I have been forced into the habit of looking at freshness dates to insure I get the freshest products.....WHY?????? According to the US Department of Labor Americans spend 7% of their income on food consumed at home. Im taking 100% of my food budget and going elsewhere and I suggest you do the same until conditions improve at this location. Im concerned that the poor management practices at this store will negatively impact the pharmacy at this location. My hope is Price Cutter management rededicates its efforts in this location to offering a clean store, the freshest food possible at a fair price.

The convenience to my home is why I have been shopping at Price Cutter S. National. I also have received friendly service from the cashiers. However, I am very disappointed in the customer service I received yesterday. I purchased groceries and headed home. On the way, I stopped for some lunch. I realized I had left my wallet behind at PC. When I called and asked the Cust Serv Rep who answered the phone if she could have someone go out to the parking lot to look for my wallet, she first told me to call back in a few minutes. I said, no Ill wait, please send someone out to look for it now. Its not like I left behind a sack of groceries. This was my wallet. Hello, personal info, etc. I waited on the line for more than 7 minutes, all the while driving back to PC to pick it up. As I pulled into the parking lot, she came back on. I got out & grabbed my wallet while she informed me that there wasnt anyone available to go outside to look for my wallet. I find this to be extremely ridiculous. It was a Sunday afternoon about 3 pm. They really werent that busy that they couldnt spare someone for 3 minutes to go out to the parking lot to check a cart. I was pretty specific as to where the cart was. Most likely wont continue my patronage of this particular Price Cutter.

Nothing I need is ever stocked on the shelves and the employees are lazy and expect you to bag and or put your purchased items back into the cart then they religiously ask if you need help out. I only shop here for convince and for the avoidance of Walmart. I also see too many employees chatting when they r suppose to be stocking the shelves. I agree the prices are too high but for me Id rather deal with the prices to high than spend another aching minute at walmart. Much improvement could b made at the price cutter stores. Also from time to time this store particularly I notice their produce is not fresh or stocked.

Have not found any negatives. I am disabled and find customer service excellent. Employees are helpful and friendly and appear eager to serve, happy in their jobs. Store is wonderfully clean. Meats appear fresh and are above what i can find other places. Produce is superior to what i have been able to find other places. Cheeses are of good variety and quality. Prices on canned goods have been fine. Nice variety of breads are nice. Pastries are super. Delivery service is a blessing. Thank you. Cynthia Owen

Went in this morning to get one of those Back To The Future USA Today papers one for me and one for a friend. As i am ringing out the cashier says did you mean to get two and i said yes (one for me and one for a buddy) The cashier said said oh i was going to get one after i got off(me thinking it would be gone by the) So being in a good mood i gave him the other one. Thinking back on it the tone and the way he said it the S.O.B Guilt tripped me i would NEVER EVER do that to a customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is Price Cutter location carries a small inventory in a large building. They are generally not that busy, making it a nice place to stop in for a couple things. However, if you need any specialty items or to get your weeks worth of groceries, I dont recommend this location. They only carry the basics. They heavily push their house brand items. And the store is spread out with a small inventory, across a large building, in a confusing layout.

This is a great store with excellent employees and quality fresh products. Ive shopped their for seven years now. To the person getting highs and lows from employees. You may be dealing with real people who are living life. If you find yourself at a constant state. You may find you need therapy.

Walk in and a cool breeze smacks you in the face; it feels so good to be here! Chris Rocks bigger and blacker bit describes this location perfectly Produce, Deli, man the list goes on for days. This is one of the nicest locations in town and a must for fine grocery shopping

over priced! the new store is beautiful but why is the price passed on to the consumer. A new store draws in business in bulk. Over priced groceries brings us to Walmart. I advise you restructure before Walmart moves in down the street

Better quality than Walmart but slightly higher priced as well. Funny story, was clicking a few pictures for Google maps and a guy at the store comes running saying they have a "policy" against taking pictures inside the store. Lol!

I love coming here for my morning coffee at Starbucks. They do a incredible job. Most other locations make my drink too milky or not enough milk some even up charge me. I cant wait until they get a warmer for the breakfast items.

This store has a nice selection of fruit and vegetables compared to the Walmart market place (where I used to shop). London Calling & Starbucks is super nice also. PS Oh yeah, I recently saw Jackfruit! Awesome.

Convenient location, nice liquor and meat departments, and clean store. I always have to watch expiration dates though. I often pick up stuff thats expired. Bonus, theres a Starbucks and London Calling inside.

I like that store right now. They have good people in the deli. But thats not always the case. They seem to have a big turn over there. But the people working there right now are doing a good job
