I attended a wedding where Aces my wife enjoyed the cake, I thought it was dry and tasted like a "Best Choice" brand cake mix with store bought icing. For my wifes birthday she wanted some cupcakes from Aces so called and spoke with an older lady and was told to call back when Amy (I think she might be the owner) returned from running an errand. I asked if "Amy" could call me back and the old lady sounded annoyed but did take my number. After not getting a call back I decided to go to Liberty and place the order in person. I got tot he store and it was closed, even though the sign on the door said they were opened. No wonder this place is going out of business (the man in the little Mexican store down the street gave me the scoop). Apparently, Aces isnt making it, I guess theres not enough business in Liberty to keep her open. I think if her product was good (like her website states) she wouldnt have any problem staying opened. I thought this was a bakery, however, when I was in the shop, I found no fresh baked good, but over priced "dusty" cake decorating supplies. Everything is "special" order. Cant wait to see what moves in there next.

Amy has been making specialty cakes for my children and my friends childrens birthday parties for years. In addition to being the best childrens specialty cake maker in the Northland she also specializes in wedding cakes. I can honestly say her wedding cakes are the best specialty cakes in the Northland as well. Her prices are fair and she returns communication promptly. I highly recommend ACES Cake Shop & Bakers Supply in Liberty, MO if you are looking for a specialty cake of any kind.

Aces makes delicious cupcakes. I can only attest to the gluten-free variety, but they are at the top of my list when it comes to matching the wheat flour version. They also have a wide selection of desserts to choose from.
