I am a former employee and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone due to the horrible way the company is run. I have copied the letter I sent to corporate offices so that everyone can see it. To Pi Pizzeria Corporate: Pi Pizzeria uses the phrase “legendary hospitality” in its employee handbook explaining that all customers receive service well beyond any they have had before. It states that all front of house staff will go above and beyond to ensure the customer has a great experience and will return, hopefully with more people, and refer others. This idea also leads the belief that the employees are treated with this same “legendary hospitality” by managers and corporate offices. After working for you for some time, I am sad to say that this is not the case at all. The idea of “legendary hospitality” is a fantastic idea that shows above and beyond effort for customers and staff to have an amazing dining experience. It is simply that; an idea. It is important to understand that front of house staff are also customers. They refer others and are the ones that persuade customers to return again, with more people each time. However, after my employment with this company, I saw none of this hospitality given to the staff. District managers joke about the awful shifts and amount of hours staff work. They tell employees that filing complaints to HR is useless. Managers are unprofessional and say they will fix the severe issues and send them to corporate. Corporate offices then proceeds to do nothing and the problems sit for six months without changing. Time and time again these issues are brought up and still nothing is done. Front of house staff are instead blamed for these issues when they are things out of their control. A perfect example of this would be the horrible state of the building at the Kirkwood location. The building is infested with roaches and other bugs, has massive cracks in the windows, and is full of spots with rotting wood. Instead of corporate doing their job and fixing the problem, the GM at the time worked additional hours to purchased his own bug killing tools to resolve the situation which did not work, obviously. Instead, corporate pushes this aside and places useless rules such as employees having to buy certain pens because one person got offended. Let me restate that: employees must pay for specific pens because you did not like one pen you saw one time and deems all other pens as unprofessional and useless. This is but one of multiple examples I could use to explain the awfully run Pi company. If you have to ask yourself what the issues are and cannot see this then you are not doing your job and running a successful company. Pi Pizzeria is incredibly disorganized and unprofessional. I have worked for multiple companies and never in my life have I seen one with so little respect for its hard-working staff. The managers show no gratitude for front of house staff going out of their way to help others (employees and guests). The corporate manager does not understand how poorly each restaurant is run and will not do anything to fix them. Corporate releases insane company polices that add tension and create more problems that it solves. I was an employee and was a customer. I will never be coming to any Pi Pizza location again nor will I recommend it for dining or employment. For this same reason, I did not respect your company policy and left without giving a two week notice. I implore all other front of house staff to follow this until these issues are fixed. I ask them to confront the legendary hospitality facade and fight against the horrible employee treatment and ridiculous corporate policies. Until then, I am afraid you will continue to lose valued customers and employees.

The pizza is just fabulous! My ONLY complaint is that they dont serve any Busch beer products. Now, I LOVE Schlafly beers but it can get expensive with the pricey pizza. The bartender was obviously annoyed when we asked why they dont serve Busch products, Im assuming he gets this all the time because we heard 4 other couples ask him while we were waiting for our table and his response was "We just like to support local products." Which I totally understand but isnt Busch beer local? Isnt this place located in St. Louis, MO were Busch beer is brewed? But they serve Stella on tap along with other Belgium brews? Anyways, my point is...if you want a few beers with your pizza and you want your bill to be little more affordable I would consider getting carry out and picking up a 6 pack on your way home...because the pizza is worth it!

This is a great local pizza place. The pizza is delicious, with options to have their creations or make your own. They also carry #glutenfree crust that they make in house out of cornmeal. It has great taste and texture. While their pizzas are delicious, their salads give the pizza competition too. I recommend you order a salad and a pizza and split it with someone. Itll give you the best of both worlds. And then there are the cocktails and desserts. Those alone are worth a trip in if you arent in the mood for pizza. Pull up a seat at the bar and indulge yourself! Highly recommend Pi if you want an upscale experience without outrageous prices or pretentious atmosphere.

I have been a fan of Pi since I moved here in 2010. This has always been the go to place for my bestie and me for our "date nights," though we dont get them as often as we would like. Their food is amazing and their cocktails some of the best in town. When I became a young friend of SLPL one of our free gift was a free pi. And dont forget to head here on Pi Day, 3.14, for some delicious pi and seeing who can recite the most digits of pi! Definitely worth a trip of you are local and never been or if you are in town visiting for the first or thirteenth time!

Pi pizzeria is sincerely one of my favorite places to grab a bite. We recently moved from St. Louis, but when we lived there for two years we ate there regularly. The Kirkwood and Delmar are seriously amazing, and we always got the deep dish. The kale salad is so good, even a small is enough for two people to share with the pizza. I also love their local beers, which are collaborated with breweries to make their own unique IPAs. Every time we visited service was outstanding. I cant wait to come back and visit St. Louis, Pi will be the first place we go!

My review is less about the food (which is VERY good) but the management instead. Sean Berry is a manager of Pi Pizzeria and my contact when I discovered an incorrect billing to my charge card. Sean was very persistent in tracking down the cause and getting back to me in a timely manner. Not only did he correct the charge but offered to refund my meal bill as well. Now thats what you call customer service that ranked above-and-beyond the call. Weve been back since and will be frequent customers to such a well run establishment. Thanks Sean!

Food was marginal to good. It was a warm day in February we got there around 6:00 pm and we sat there and sweated. Sweltering hot inside. The building is not much more than a tear down and the parking lot is a wreck wating to happen. The beer was warm. They try to mask the noisy, over crowdedness with loud music. Cannot hear each other talk. I really wonder how they pass any kind of fire inspection. No exits. The 2, one stall bathrooms are about the size of those on airplanes. Go somewhere else. The food is not worth all the hassle.
