For a short review: this place is an overpriced Culvers; not worth the money. Five Guys is superior in every way. LONG review: I went here on a Sunday for lunch, they werent very busy, walked right up to the counter to order with my family of 4. This was our first time (& last time) at Smashburger. I had a "regular" burger with bacon, mushrooms, bleu cheese, and buffalo sauce, and a side of sweet potato fries. Wife had a "regular" burger with just lettuce, tomato, mayo, and cheese with regular fries. Kids had cheeseburger kids meal. Food came out quickly, I noticed they skimped on the toppings pretty bad. The patty tasted exactly how it looked: overcooked and dry, very little flavor. It looked exactly like a Culvers burger. I have no problem with Culvers burgers, but its also much cheaper which lowers my expectations. The sweet potato fries were lukewarm at best when they reached my table, as were my wifes french fries. Neither type of french fries were anything special, the regular fries remind me of McDonalds french fries. All in all, food wasnt horrible but considering it was $27 for 3 meals and drinks; the same food quality could be had from Culvers for at least $10 less. To compare Smashburger to their most direct competitor - Five Guys - I have no qualms declaring Five Guys superior in every way possible. For the cost of a single "regular" patty burger at Smashburger with my toppings I couldve had a double-bacon cheeseburger from Five Guys with the same toppings. The patties are larger, juicier, and cooked properly. Taste is subjective, but to me Five Guys burgers and french fries taste far better than Smashburgers (& Culvers).

The hamburgers are outstanding but the chicken is to die for. All of their menu burgers can be had as a chicken sandwich as well. Either grilled or fried chicken breast. This is easily the best fried chicken sandwich in town. The grilled chicken is very juicy and well seasoned. Add to that, sweet potato fries, and fried pickles, and you got a place that I would love to eat almost every week.

Smashburger makes a good burger. I love a good hamburger and more times than not I get a burger. I like to think I know a good burger. One of the standout things you can do to do to customize your bread choice and I love a nice pretzel bun. Also worth noting, are the smashfries which are tossed with olive oil, rosemary and a couple other things that makes them yummy.

Love Smashburger. If I feel the urge for a great cheeseburger this is place to go. Meal is prepared while you wait, everything is hot and tasty when your food arrives. I also like the fact there is a good variety of sandwiches. But I usually always get the "Smashburger".

This burger joint is better than typical "fast food" burgers, but the extra expense exceeds the difference in quality. Nothing noteable about the experience other than the food is cooked to order. Fries were mediocre. This is a one and done for our family.

Love Smashburger...Great burger, fresh ingredients, pretzel bun is the best! They also have great shakes and their fries are absolutely delicious ( I crave them). Three burger sizes to choose from. Also, I love the crispy ends on the burger!

Ill give them two stars, but only because my brother likes it. In my opinion the burgers are WAY too greasy. You can find delicious, juicy, fresh burgers in St. Louis! I consider smashburgers the McDonalds of burger joints.

They have the super thin onion straws (impossible to find). The barbecue bacon cheeseburger is the best anywhere - with actual barbecue sauce that doesnt taste like it came from a 5 gallon bucket. Service is outstanding.
