I love the food here! It;s mom and pop and full grease (far from gourmet), but it hits the spot if youre looking for that down-home feel. The coffee is only decent, though, which is a bummer. In the last six months, they have recently changed the menu to finally give details about what you are ordering and they have expanded the offerings. My husband did not used to like the food, but he is more than willing to go there now that they have changed the menu (and the food seems slightly better as well). The prices are average. The big downside: service! Its always heinous. The waitresses are rude, unhelpful, and far too overworked. They dont offer carafes of coffee on the table, which means I generally spend an obscene time waiting for a refill since the waitresses never seem to make it back to me. Due to the bad service, we normally get to go. This ALWAYS results in something being forgotten, so I check it at the counter now (which gets me glares despite the fact that I always find something they forgot). An example of the average service: a few weeks ago I called in an order. I went to pick it up and was told it wasnt ready. So I waited and after 5 minutes that waitress had not bother to offer me a drink or check on the food. I went to sit at the bar near the kitchen where another, much more helpful waitress, got me a coffee. I waited another 15 minutes. Finally, the cook screamed at me from the kitchen asking what I was waiting on. Whereupon it was discovered that my order was never put in. over 30 minutes after my food was supposed to be done, I paid and obviously didnt add a tip (was I supposed to tip the girl who never put my order in or the two who never bothered to check on it?) and the waitress was unbelievably rude. AS though she had somehow earned it. And thats par the course on service, Im sad to say. So I advise to go, checking the food, and being prepared for issues. The food, however, is quite tasty once you get it home.

Was really looking forward to eating here, waitress seamed nice we got our coffee, then the wait began, out of coffee then we got our order and hash browns were hardly warm they took them back with hot hash browns, well took a bite of my country fried steak and wasnt even warm, eggs were cold so I gave my plate to the server and told her to take it off my bill the food was cold and I wont pay for it. She was very nice about it and found out where the cooks put the food while it waits to be served wasnt on, didnt charge us for my wifes and 2 kids food, hence the 2 stars instead of 1, would like to try it again sometime, seams like a very nice place

Decided to try it out because we had a BOGO coupon. First off in the entry is a sign that is talking about the dangers of second hand smoke, not a good sign(no pun intended). Then my wife explains her allergy to smoke, & we are escorted to the "nonsmoking" section which was a few tables with an ocillating fan by them to attempt to blow any smoke back to the smoking section. Within a few minutes my wife could feel it in her head & we had to leave. The hostess/waitress said she totally understood, and that "If I could work anywhere else I would." Makes you wonder!

Really great biscuits and gravy. The Western omelet is very good with peppers onions, tomatoes, cheese, and ham, and if anything it may have too much cheese. The specials are always great, fried chicken, salmon patties, pork chops..... The open faced hot roast beef with roast beef and gravy covering potatoes and plain white bread, it is easily enough to feed 2 people. The servers are attentive, and I have never had to sit very long. I used to not like having to walk through smoking to get to non-smoking, but that is no longer an issue.

This place used to be awesome. They became arrogant now and its overpriced and not very good anymore. Wait staff is lacking now, meals are not great anymore and prices have gone way up. Worst part is that there are TV all over the place showing fox news all the time. People of course like and dislike different things, especially with news chanels, but maybe sports or something more neutral would keep all the political arguments from occurring, in public, while people trying to eat.

I wrote a detailed description of this under Yelp, but in a nutshell, the were not up front about all their extra costs of sides when asking what you want or posting the specials, their tickets are unreadable when you get them, and the "All You Can Eat Fish Fry" special was 1) ONLY the fish 2)Not really fish at all, it was those triangular battered fishy things out of a box. Home cooked meals if you are used to TV Dinners.

Ordered the special and asked to plate it as biscuit, egg, bacon smothered in the gravy. (All what the special included) was told it will all come on the plate. Okay, but can you have the cook do that? They charged extra. It was a test as they do seem a bit acustomed to the same ole crowd and change and new is not accepted well. The food was good though.

The first and last time I ate here the service was terrible. One of the waitresses threw dirty dishes into a bin full of dirty water and it splashed all over me and my food. No apology, and not even an offer to give me new food.

One of the best local resturaunts. The servers are always kind, the food is always good, and the place is always clean. It is a marvelous community hang-out. Eveb the customers are friendly. A great place to eat.

I had breakfast for dinner..biscuits and gravy with a side of pancakes. The biscuits and gravy were great! The pancakes were a little too done on one side. Still an all around 4 stars. Friendly staff too!

Awesome meal! The wife had breakfast and I enjoyed the hot roast beef with homemade mashed potatoes. The kicker was the homemade peach cobbler though! Will be going back for sure.
