Im not really sure where to start but I just had an awful experience at this Green Mill. I was having a dinner with my wife and kids who are 8 and 6. It was about 730pm and they werent too busy but for some reason they wanted us to sit in the bar area. I told the hostess that we would prefer not to (we had kids duh!!!) but she showed us a booth by the bar and I just agreed to sit there. My wife and I each ordered our own boneless buffalo wings and each ordered a side of fries. About 15 minutes later they brought 2 orders of some weird looking sauced wings and I told the waitress these were wrong. She says puzzled, oh yeah they are wrong. Then she has the nerve to say, this kind is really good. Do you wanna try them to see if youd rather have these?? What?? If I wanted to try them I would have ordered them. She apologized and said she would bring new ones out. 5 minutes later she brought 2 new ones out that looked off to me. These wings looked to be washed off and recoated with buffalo sauce. I tried one and it tasted like buffalo mixed with something sweet. Ive been eating Dixie wings there for at least 10 yes and they didnt taste right. They were also soggy. Im not a cook but I do know fried chicken wings should be crispy on the outside and these were not even close. BTW right now my stomach is just rotting inside while I type this. So back to the review I called the waitress over and said these arent right, I showed her how soggy they were and she agreed and asked if I wanted a new order. I said I want my check and I wanna get out of here now without eating the wings. I also told her that I suspected the cook of washing these wings off and re serving them to me. Now she says that the new ones were just not fresh and were fried about 20 minutes prior which is why they were not crispy! Are you kidding me?!?! So she brings out my check and says I only billed you for the fries you ordered. Really I got billed $9 for 2 of the tiniest fry portions Ive ever seen??? I still gave my card to her but also told her that I was pretty sure the restaurant broke laws in the food service industry and that I would pay this bullish* tab and that I wanted the phone number of the district manager. She brought back the receipt for me to sign along with the store managers business card, I left no tip and wrote a message on that receipt I signed for the district manager to call me asap. A manager by the name of Bob also came over to apologize but it was way to late for that and we had just watched this guy who looked 16 leaning all over the front counter very unprofessionally which me and my wife took notice to even before the food issue occurred. I interrupted his apology and told him I just wanted to leave. He immediately said OK and walked away. I plan to pursue this issue further with upper management, possibly the food inspection dept but take my word for it, DO NOT EAT AT THE GREEN MILL IN WOODBURY/OAKDALE

We had Green Mill in Woodbury cater our wedding last Saturday August 19th. I have to say, first off, we did check out other caterers including Cossettas Italian Eatery. When it came down to just the food (although I LOVE Cossettas) Green Mill blew us away. Patty gave us a abundant choices for our menu and recommended a few she liked herself. I was completely thrown when she had us at least try the pot roast- which Ive never really liked... it was delicious. We had buffet style with three choices for guests and they also hosted the bar. If you are going to have a wedding soon, or have had one, you have to know the difficulties in pleasing everyones palate as much as dealing with food allergies and needing vegetarian, gluten free or dairy free options. I was completely relieved to know they had absolutely no problem dealing with all of that including making special meals if need be. (They even had sparkling juice for my gluten free pregnant bridesmaid who wasnt ready to announce it yet so no one knew it wasnt champagne.) Thats just the food.... the service was amazing. They did so many things you would expect to pay extra for- linens for tables and cake table, card table, seating chart and anything else you need. They even helped set up my own decorations as time permitted. They were professional and friendly! We really wanted for nothing at the head table. I am not a perfectionist in most ways but I also do not give praise like this easily. I was in the service industry for 15 years and I know good service when I see it. The point of this? If you are even considering Green Mill to cater any event, take my advice and go with them (especially if you are considering the Woodbury location). They took so much off of my hands and did it above and beyond my expectations. I also had the pleasure of hearing at least 20 people tell me they were blown away by the food and service. Some of those people even said it was the best meal they have had at a wedding, thats saying a lot as far as Im concerned! Thank you Green Mill for making my day that much better!!!!!

I stay at the country inn and suites that is connect to the green mill all the time. I stayed there before the green mill was remodeled. It was way way way better before it was remodeled. The new staff drives me CRAZY!!! They are Always!!! all stand ing talking around the front counter or by the bar. It drives me crazy.... clean if your not busy!!! It looks so bad. I never one time saw employees gathered by the front deck gossiping or talking about where the party is after the get off. Ive been at the bar after 10pm and watched a couple walk in and the bartender tell them that they would not serve them because it wasnt busy enough! This was on a Thursday a little after 10. Really?! Okay so the worst thing is when I ordered from my room one time for pickup...I picked it up and got back to my room and it wasnt what I had ordered...plain chicken wings..gross..so they took them in the back and added sauce....then I realized I didnt have my receipt so turned around went back immediately to the front counter and was told it was thrown out 5 minutes ago. I had only been go not even 2 minutes tops!!!! I said dig for it in the garbage ..she did .. ( the garbage was full) 3 employees were searching ...could not find it ...so they called over the Manger who printed a recipe for me...so I left got back to my room looked at it had no amounts on it ....so I went back and the bartender/ waitress printed me off a receipt for me ... thus just seems really weird to me because I paid in CASH ... if my employees acted like thus I would fire them

By far one of the best experiences Ive had in years. They seemed very busy but the manager was all over it and had us seated right away. Our server went by the name of Ken who took our order right away (by memory) didnt make a single mistake knew his way around the menu and made some positive suggestions. Our food was very prompt and delicious. At the end of our dinner we were so full we took boxes. The unfortunate part was my wife made the mistake with her debit card which was declined however I had cash for the meal but was unable to leave the large tip I had planned. Looks like Ill be going back in a couple days to eat here again. Being from Duluth this was a bit of a drive but I will continue to make the trip for the delicious food and perfect service.
