Not fine dining, but you wouldnt expect it to be. Id love this place--simple diner food served plentiful at a decent price--were it not for THAT ONE WAITRESS! I would bold that if I could! If youve had the misfortune, youll know exactly what I mean. Older, bitter and nasty. I tried to like this place. I wanted to like this place! I gave it several chances, but after multiple encounters with this customer service nightmare, I called it quits. Swore I would never go back and still havent--no matter how many times it surfaces on Groupon. I want to! I want to buy it and love it! The place aint pretty, but its pretty awesome in a local greasy-spoon sort of way and I would go there again and again...if only someone could tell me the attitude has changed. Dont know who owns it, or how they could be unaware. The rest of the staff would know. Weve all been in that workplace scenario (well, maybe not all of us--good for you if you havent!): one rotten apple threatens the basket. Never encountered another employee there that left me feeling that "I hate you, stop annoying me, crawl off and die" sort of way. All seemed nice, reasonable and professional enough. One time could have been a bad day. Two times could have been bad luck. More than that betrays a pattern? I WANT to like the place! Tell me its changed! Been a while since weve been there. That was the whole "never again" part that I didnt reach lightly, Or I wouldve just said "this place sucks" instead of "its kind of awesome and I really want to love it, but...".

Good, solid diner-style breakfast food in downtown White Bear Lake. There is limited street-side parking available in front of the restaurant and along the side streets, but there is also a larger parking lot around the block on Banning (behind the building). There breakfast menu is excellent and the serving sizes are very generous. Among our family favorites are their Italian Hash, their pancakes and their Belgian waffles. The pancakes and the waffles are the size of a dinner plate, so keep that in mind when ordering. When the weather is nice, they also have outdoor seating. They also have a lunch and dinner menu as well as a malt shop, but I have only been there for breakfast. If the rest of the food is as good as their breakfasts, then I dont think you can go wrong. Highly recommend!

not good...the server spilled coffee all over me and the bench and was so concerned with the size of the coffee pot that caused her to knock it over and wiping up the bench she didnt even ask if I was ok and took a few minutes to even bring me a towel. It was a good thing the coffee in the pot was cold and the food took so long to get to the table my soaking wet pants were almost dry by the time to leave. Phew! The only reason we stayed was to use our Groupon because I knew we would never return. The food was good but the service ruined the entire experience.

Food was mediocre and it was S L O W!!! It took an entire hour to get our food after we ordered it. And it took about 15-20 minutes for the waitress to take our order in the first place. There was no apology or acknowledgement of the delay either. And after a wait like that, I wish I could say the food was worth it, but unfortunately I cant. The pancakes were undercooked, the american fries were more like tater tots and everything else was just OK. We wont be going back. Oh well.

I like the small town feel of the place, but as other people have said the waitresses can be grumpy and it can be slow(I think its because they have to many customers at once). The food is pretty decent for the price, some items can be a little too greasy depending on what you order(I feel like common sense should work here). I do feel like they should start accepting cards! I find it ridiculous nowadays that people dont accept cards - especially at a location like this!

Went there for breakfast this morning with my wife. Server was rude. The dining area was small a cozy but seeing the bus boy do dishes in the corner of the dining room kind of killed my appetite. Wont be back. That location is great- they could do so much more with the space. Should have made the short walk down the road to Keys. Food was very basic. The western omelet looked like it had come out of the microwave.

The food is pretty good, its the waitresses that I have a problem with. They shout across the restaraunt and arent very quick about cleaning tables or checking in on customers. We finished eating and our server hasnt checked in with us in over a half hour after we requested the check. Theyre quite fond of sitting in the back and chatting among themselves. Will not be coming here again. Washington Square is much better!

Good comfort food, super cute location. Yes the service is a bit slower than bigger places but the server/bussers were not inattentive at all. If you want fast food, dont come here. If you want to have a good conversation before your meal, this is a great choice.

Hands down the best eggs Benedict in the country. And I have had it all over the country. So trust me when I say it is the best, most consistent, perfectly executed eggs benedict. Every time. Keep up the good work! I will continue to come here forever.

I really liked this place its small but the food was great service was slow but there was only one waitress and the food did take sometime but with some casual conversation time flew by overall prices are reasonable and the food is great try it out!

Some of the best burgers and shakes in all of White Bear in my opinion. This no frills family fixture has been a part of my downtown White Bear must list for decades for good reason. Their fantastic fare never disappoints.

The food here is good, and very consistent. I have never had a bad meal here. Its just standard fare diner food, a little greasy, but it is still good. The service is a little slow but they are nice.

Went for first time as kid and got food poisoning three year later still got food poisoning. I am a resident of white bear and not a good place, known to have rat and insect infestations.

Happened by on a whim for Sunday breakfast. Delicious food, great service and they DO take credit/debit cards. We will definitely be back. Open M-Sat 7am to 3p and Sundays 7am to 2pm.

Really good food. Came here by accident. Had a cheeseburger. Cons: Didnt default come with fries. Parking. Not enough wait staff. But worth the wait. Very good!
