While breakfast and lunch here have long been a favorite, I just had dinner here, two nights in a row. Pangea has only been serving dinner since May, but it is clearly my new favorite dining delight. I had the most amazing chicken with risotto and asparagus that I have ever tasted. The sauce was the key, so much flavor and a serving of it that lasted through the whole dinner. We also had the prime rib which was tender and tasty. The next night I had the shrimp taco made on naan bread with tempura shrimp and a wonderful sauce. The seared Ahi was perfectly cooked with black sesame crust and a perfect serving of avocado to make the Ahi even creamier. What a treat, definitely a place for Twin Cities drivers to make the trip. I have been eating here since they first opened. I have always thought of it as a place to get the best breakfast in the Twin Cities area. The many Benedict options are all amazing and they have the best hash browns I have every tasted. I love the buttermilk biscuits and English bangers. Recently, I have been branching out to the salads, each of which have been spectacular. The Cobb is better than any I have seen in a restaurant before. The Poached Pear that I had with chicken was totally delicious and The Steak and Blue was outstanding. I am thinking of branching out again and try some of the Taco selections. Most are made with Naan bread and sound wonderful. The staff and owners are friendly and efficient, making every visit there a delight. I also love the tables with the Pangea Map. A trip back in time, just in time.

Every time weve been here (3-4 times), the service, though friendly, has been *painfully* slow. This is due to a few reasons; 1) Their menu is too big for the size of their establishment/staff (they had only one cook when we were there). Reducing the options slightly would greatly increase efficiency. Additionally, keeping the breakfast menu (also a bit too big) active all day is a mistake. 2) The wait staff is improperly trained. As an example, we watched one waitress start to clear off a table, only to become distracted three times by something going on in the back. 25 mins later it was finally cleared off, and we were able to be seated(!). Overall, the food is decent, and the pricing seems fairly reasonable for the quality. However, dont plan on going unless you have *no less* than 60-70 minutes to spend *after* being seated, as it takes around 30-40 minutes for the food to arrive once ordered.

Crab Benedict was really good. Crab cake fell apart under the hollandaise but I think its supposed to. Hollandaise was some of the best Ive had since I could actually taste a little of the citrus flavor from the lemon. Clearly not packaged hollandaise like other breakfast places in Waconia use. My daughter had the Ruben, and for someone who doesnt like Sauer kraut who didnt realize it had that on it, she took one bite and finished the entire thing without removing any of the kraut. Its one of the few Reubens Ive had that actually uses chunked/pulled corned beef rather than deli-sliced. That is what really makes Pangeas Reuben stand out aside from the fact that they make their own corned beef right there. Its phenomenal.

Food was very good. Food prep was slow, they were definitely in the weeds on a Sunday morning. The reason for only two stars is the facility was filthy. So much so that I have to ask the question - have they ever been inspected by a health official? I would be surprised if they passed if they had. The light fixture directly above the food prep area was filthy, as were the ceiling fans. The carpeting in the upper loft area was disgusting. Run a vacuum or just get rid of the carpeting and put in hardwood floors like the rest of the facility. Advice - spend a day deep cleaning the whole restaurant from top to bottom.

We were in Waconia looking for a place to eat breakfast. I googled places for breakfast. We picked Pangea. My husband had a Mighty omlet. It was full of pit ham, sausage, and bacon. But not overly so. The cheese was blended in and was in every bite. The hasbrowns(home made?) were thin and flat and done the way you wanted. I had a ham and white cheadder omelet. It was awesome! Our omelets were about an inch thick and about 4 to 5" long HUGE! Never had such great omlets! Cant wait to go back and try something else. VERY VERY GOOD.

What I love about this place is the feel, the location, the décor, the staff and of course the food. It is all good! If I could eat here 3 times a day I would. The portions are terrific. I have never left hungry. But I have with a food coma. Yes, its that good. I could not stop eating. The staff is friendly and fun. A good time and good food for all. Waconia should be proud to have them in theyre community. Thank you Lance & Laura! From the mouth of Arnold "Ill be back"

Cant say enough about this place! They have great food and the prices are very reasonable considering youre getting organic eggs, and scratch made everything! Love their fiesta skillet for breakfast, almost enough for two people! Their waffles are according to my husband the best hes ever had and they have GF options which means we can all eat there as a family, big plus! Their hollandaise sauce is also to die for ;) You can tell that stuff didnt come out of a packet :)

The food is amazing! If you love hollandaise sauce, this is your place. We go almost every weekend for breakfast. Our kids wake up early so we get there before the rush but its also a nice reminder to just enjoy the company youre with and converse. I love that they are in our backyard and we go anytime family is in town. Thank you for all that you do!!

Youll develop a favorite- the menu is very well thought out and put together. Its so nice having a place in Waconia that brings people together for the most important meal of the day- they also have lunch and drinks (Lances reuben is the bomb). The employees are friendly and fun to talk with- it is all around a great atmosphere. Check it out!

This place is awesome. The food is fresh, hearty, and outstanding! Plus, it has a unique and fun (yet comfotable) atmosphere. I love the whole package. Still making my way through the menu, but I can say that I have had a dozen items thus far, and each one was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend checking it out.
