My first experience was great! I was not really impressed with the beef dishes but my waitress was really friendly and great !! My second experience didnt go so well. It was 630pm when my little family of 3 went in for dinner. The place was empty and everyone was seated a table away from each other. After sitting down, we waited for a good 2-3 minutes or so before our waitress brought out beverages ( water ). Instead of 3 cups, she only brought out 2. My son didnt get his own cup of water until another customers came and sat a table away from us. The other customers wasnt even in the restaurant for a good 5 minutes and they were served right away. Drinks and their order taken. Instead of asking us if we were ready, she went to a table across from us and took their orders and then left. Mind you: She was constantly everywhere where it was difficult flagg her down and she was the only server. After waiting 10 minutes, she finally came to our table. My husband order first and I order next. I asked what was in the beef stew hot pot as I was debating between the hot pot or hong kong beef. Instead of answering in a nice way trying to explain, she was more yelling stating that its not your regular stir fry. Its beef stew. Its a SOUP! Not a beef dish. It got to the point where I said forget it, I will take the Hong Kong Beef. At this time, another family of 3 was just seated as well. They were waiting as long as my family did. The server completely forgot all about them until one of their cell phone went off. She finally remember, apologize and did her best to make it up to them. That includes taking their orders and bringing out their food first. We order appetizers which we did not received and the other family of 3 order fried rice and it was brought out before our appetizers. We waited 2 minutes after their friend rice to received our appetizers. Not just that, she brought our appetizers to the wrong table and fussed when they told her they didnt order Cheese Puffs. Overall, my table was the last one to received all of our food. The experience this time was not the greatest. When I saw that we were not being served like everyone, I was thinking about leaving and go somewhere where my money will be more worth it. But because we already order, I stayed since I didnt want to be rude. Next time, I wont even bother staying.

I had dined at Ho Ho many years ago--probably 15-20 years--and thought the food was pretty good. Yesterday (10/20/15) I met a friend there for lunch. We had the buffet and I was disappointed. If you are a vegetarian (as I am), there is little to offer as just about everything has chicken, pork or beef in it. I took an egg roll, which had pork in it, coleslaw reminiscent of KFCs (it was good but I dont think coleslaw is traditional Chinese food), plain white rice, cantaloupe slices, fried rice (which I believe had pork or chicken in it) and two almond cookies. What I had tasted fine but I dont think it was better than other Chinese restaurants where Ive dined. I did not go for seconds. I dont feel I got $10 worth of food.

I am a regular customer at this place and probably come here once a month. Their food is not necessarily authentic Chinese food, but if you order the right stuff, they are very good. My absolute favorite is Peking Spare Ribs. Their volcano chicken is also superb, though may be too hot for many Minnesotans. Service is above average (compared to other Chinese restaurants), but I think one of the servers there can be a little bit more cheery and enthusiastic; she doesnt seem to like her job, but shes been there forever. Nonetheless, the food is good and the portion is generous. They also just renovated the front end of the restaurant, which looks much better than it used to. Keep up the good work!

This was my first time at this Restuartant and I will not be coming back.. I had placed an togo Order and I picked it up and everything and when I got home my food was cold and wasnt the correct order and I was also missing my chicken wings. I had called them back and the person I talked to on the phone wanted a credit card number for i dont know the reason why when I paid in cash and then she made the commit *What do you expect me to do about it* I wouldnt recomend this restuart to anyone Sorry but the staff there are not pleasent

Ho Ho is great! The thing that I love about it is their consistency. You always know what to expect-no surprises. The beef broccoli or chicken broccoli in the buffet always has such high quality semi-crisp broccoli. The duck sauce with the wings and cream cheese wontons has a wonderful pineapple flavor- I could drink the stuff. I have family on the North Shore who always has to eat here when they come down! Their take-out is very good as well.

I went to Ho Ho Gourmet for the first time yesterday and it was great! The service was prompt, the staff was courteous, and the food was awesome! EVERYTHING I ate there was great! I really loved the chicken lo mein (not everyones chicken lo mein impresses me), their pork ribs, and their sweet and sour chicken. The decor was clean and fresh which always makes dining experience wonderful. Try this place out if youre in the area!

I am just not a fan. The people around me love Ho Hos but I have had WAYYYYY better Chinese food in Minnesota than this restaurant. I will say the server Sarina is so nice, that if I go it is to say hello and talk with her. The food comes super fast, so fast that it always make me question how fresh is everything. Its literally as if we place the order and the food comes out. Also, if you eat here you will be hungry later.

Even though they dont have much variety the food is still top notch, everything is not piled, and the Temp to the food is hot some of the wait staff wasnt to friendly (especially to new comers) at times but everything was good food, atmosphere, and people. All and all I give the food a 5/5, price of the buffet 4/5, and the employees 4/5. I definitely recommend going there.

The food was amazing! Totally worth it. It may look expensive but you get huge family size portions. Im going to be eating two more meals off my one plate. Great service even while busy. They had a party going at another table and our food still came up quickly. I will definitely be back.

I drove by the hoho gourmet castle for years before finally going. I should have gone a long time ago! The buffet is small but all of the choices are really good. Pretty much everything weve had there has been amazing and the restaurant has become a family favorite.

I love HoHo! I used to come weekly when I worked in the area. Now I stop in on rare occasions years later and they still remember me and greet me like it was yesterday. Food is simple fresh and delicious. Chicken wings are to die for. Must go place!!
