Amazing food. Absolutely horseshy!t service. It used to be great all around. Now the food is still amazing and the happy hour is bomb, but the service has taken tha nose dive after blowing both engines. My last 4 experiences have been bad service. This time being tha worst. It took me 15 mins to receive my first drink. I almost left to another restaurant. I never received a water. Every table around me was greeted w them. It took another 10 mins for my server to come back to take my order. Other tables around me had been sat after me, received their drinks, and an app prior to my getting to order. I ordered one thing n she started to run off. I had to stop her before tha door n ask her to come back cuz I was ordering more n wanted tha wifi password. I still never got a change to ask for a water. When my food did finally come, she dropped n ran. Never asked if I needed anything else, or stopped for a second to make eye contact. N she never came back to check on my meal. I needed more tortillas to finish my meal, n since no one ever came back, I never got to ask for them n my food went cold. What a waste. Given my observations and service industry experience, my conclusions are as follows: There were 2 servers sharing the sections I was in, in addition to several more tables in the restaurant, including a 20 top. They were in tha weeds. Bad. And they sucked as a result. They were pissy, short, and barely gave service, likely because they are overworked, stressed, and not at all supported. Other servers around them were serving their sections with ease. They could have helped out, but they let their co-workers stress n flutter. There were at least 2 managers standing around in various places, watching the tables get neglected, and witnessing tha servers drowning and did NOTHING to help them out of tha sticky part. This place is understaffed and horribly managed. No wonder its gone down hill. Too bad. Such fantastic food. Id still recommend this spot, but only when you dont care about your time or service.. Im so sad, as industry, I always tip at least 30%, n 20% if I have bad service -- Im forced to tip 10% because I was neglected so badly. It hurts me to do it...

We visited Pancho Villa at 7 pm yesterday 5/5/15 for my birthday and Cinco de Mayo, I was very disappointed with the overall experience. I kept my cool for the whole hour an a half we were waiting: --Despite trying to setup a reservation for 13-14 people for two days prior to going. The Manager told me they are not taking reservation for Cinco de Mayo. When we got there the restaurant was very busy, my sister got first and gave her name for a party of 13-14 people. While we were waiting the line went down to zero guest waiting. The Manager whom we found out was also the owner was non accommodating at all. We watch as party of 4, 5 & 6 people were seated before we were offered any where to set. The remaining people in our group showed up by 7:30 PM. We waited until 8:30 and was give a table for six people, seated RIGHT next to another table that was already occupied for some reason the owner thought he would give us their table if or when they leave. When other tables were available he offered to split our group. We did have three children and two teenager with our group. In order to help the restaurant we agreed to have the kids sit at another table across the room. However three tables near the one we were at opened up and was pushed together. We thought great they will be able to sit us all at one table. When we started to move the owner said this is for another group who reserved the table. I reminded him that I call two days in a row to setup a reservation and was told you are not taking any for Cinco de Mayo. His comment were "they did this reservation a month in advance". I also reminded that we waited for an hour an a half to be seated, and why arent you trying to accommodate us who have been waiting. He said "someone in your group said we can split you up". I pointed to the three tables pushed together as one that had 12 chairs. Let us sit here, he said NO! I took my entire group two blocks in the rain to El Nuevo Mariachi Restaurant and was seated right away full party at one table. We had a great dinner and lots of laughter. The night ended a lot better than it started. Pancho Villa two thumbs down.

This restaurant is overpriced for the portion size and the quality of the food. I ordered takeout, six entrees, which I thought would be sufficient for four kids (4, 5, 9, 11) and four adults. We had two burritos and they were about the size of a Chipotle burrito, except they cost $11.19 . The clamshell had a burrito in it and nothing else, no beans, no rice, no veggies. Then we had two chimichangas, it was a small fried burrito with a tablespoon or two of lettuce and a teaspoon of sour cream. We had two enchiladas which came with refried beans and rice, but the spaces were maybe a third full. I asked the bartender who took the order if we could order any certain type of beans, wanting black beans, and he said they only had one kind of bean, then he said they were black beans. Great, I said, and then got my three tablespoons of refried pintos. Their salsa is made from canned tomatoes, the menu is uninspired, the servers seem to actively dislike their clientele, and I would strongly recommend going to any other Mexican restaurant, there are many good ones (La Hacienda, La Que Buena, La Nuevo Rodeo, Los Ocampos anywhere!) and this place is a waste of time and money. It is not normal to spend $70 on dinner and literally have to make something else for the kids to eat (BTW, I do not consider anyone that we ate with to be big eaters, if anything we are light eaters). Avoid!

This place doesnt even deserve a 1 star! I ordered number #62: Campechanos with pork and #8: Minneapolis Nachos with beef, and they switched the meat around. Now, Im not the type of person whod make a big deal about this, but I called them back after receiving it and they have the audacity to say I ordered number #62: Campechanos with beef and #8: Minneapolis Nachos with pork. I was expecting an apology, and possibly an offer to bring it back to have them correct it, but the employee said she cant do nothing about it. Wow, Im in complete shock. On top of that, I placed a separate order for my colleague and the employee did not give me the exact change back. Total was $17.61 and gave her $20, but only received $2 when Im supposed to be getting $2.39. I tried to correct her, but she said its $18, but on the receipt, it stated $17.61. Im not going to argue about pity little change. The fact that they messed up my order and did not give the exact change - Im just disappointed overall on their service. Never again coming here again!
