NOTE: Im a take-out customer, Ive never eaten-in there Been eating there since the early 90s. The food is good -- not the best, but darn good. Chow Mein and Pork Fried Rice are a staple food in my family. Customer Service is what makes it stand out though. The operators recognize us, make sure our orders right, and twice when there was a screw-up and we got the wrong thing -THEY- called -US- to warn us so we could turn around and fix the order -- then comped us the food from the other order wed picked up as an apology! Same deal once when they forgot noodles in our chow mein... they realized before us and said we could swing back or our next chow mein order was free. And the next time we ordered -THEY- remembered it and fixed the bill without us asking or reminding them. tldr; Its decent food but the owners are _awesome_ and care about customer loyalty. Not just the customers loyalty to them... but THEIR loyalty to their customers and treating them right. (Their Beef with Snow Peapods is also good, but I wish they offered Tiger Pork.)

I work near by and so unfortunately Don Ho gets about half of my paycheck when I get hungry most days. Not saying that the prices are bad (They are actually the best lunch deal around town!) Just that I end up there 3 or more times a week! I have never had any issues with them being unsanitary, in fact, Given what the rest of that complex looks like, they are doing quite well. I would say that the owners are not the most warm people and their English does need some work, but given that they come from a different culture, They are doing very well here. Once you get to know them, and they get to know you, they are very nice people! I will continue to come here As long as they are in business! They have some of the best Sweet and Sour Chicken and pork in town, Only one place was better and I dont remember who it was, so Don Ho continues to be my favorite!

Best Asian-food restaurant Ive ever been to, and my go-to choice for lunch. What I like: Large portions to fill even the hungriest of diners, the food is served extremely hot in temperature and I dont know how, food tastes great, excellent service, and very, very reasonable in price. The lunch special is a great deal because you cant get subway for less than this and you get way more and better tasting food. Staff is super-humanly fast and always friendly and sociable. Décor is nice, but the building they are in is mediocre. I dont know if a new location is the answer for this excellent crew but I do know they deserve it and I will certainly be coming back again!

I just bought a large order of the lo mein and I feel like puking. It was very tasteless. I had to throw it out. This is one of the worst Chinese places you can find. The other reviews that are good must be from people who never went to a Chinese place in the inner city in Minneapolis. Yuk Yuk Yuk. Not only that, I ordered sweet and sour pork and it was cold and the quality was chewy. Do not go there!

i have lived on both coasts and over the midwest and this is the best cheap chinese food ive ever had. their chicken lo mein is worth me driving from downtown to pick up and i love their cream cheese wontons. true it is not a beautifu place to dine but take out is fantastic. yum yum yum.

Just went with a buddy of mine who said he did not like the food at Don Hos. He scraped his plate clean! Very good value for your luncheon dollar and the food has consistently been very tasty and cooked well. I have eaten at many Chinese restaurants and Don Hos is excellent.

Been going here for over 15 years and never, not once had any issues here. Small hole in the wall Chinese dive with excellent food. Chicken Lo Mien is the only place I will eat it becuase it is so good. I also love the Lemon Chicken and lunch prices are great!

Incredibly friendly owner, great service, great prices, and tasty food served in massive portions. Food always comes quick when you are dining in or is ready to pick up very quick when ordering out. I absolutely love coming here!

This is a great Chinese restaurant with very quick service and reasonable prices. Our favorite dishes are the Orange Chicken, Lemon Chicken and Beef with Vegetables. They also make a great lunch option if you are in a hurry.
