Perkins has always been a go-to favorite place to grab a good meal with family or friends. The late kitchen hours and exceptional service has always brought us back. This was what I, my two siblings and cousin experienced this Friday night (8.18.17). It was around 9:10pm when we entered the restaurant, it was fairly slow at the time (2, maybe 3 tables). We were promptly greeted by a gentleman named Dayton. He took us to our table and informed us he was our server and shared a few jokes with us, after which he took our drink orders. After we received our drinks, and exchanging several dad puns, he took our food order. It was at this time we noticed he was the only server on at the time, as he was seating other guests that started to flow in. We had counted he had over 12 tables in the 9-10 oclock hour. Despite the sudden rush of people, we still received tasty, hot food (I ordered my regular The Tangler) and he still made the time to stop and chat between tables and running food. After my party had eaten and visited for a while, we received our check. Dayton absolutely made our night and dinning experience a pleasure and hope others get the opportunity to do so as well. Thanks! Noah

I went to the Perkins with my daughter for breakfast. We dont usually go out for breakfast, but we were visiting the town and we chose Perkins over fast foods. There were already many people enjoying a beautiful October morning at the restaurant. We also did enjoy the morning and sunshine, sitting in a booth right next to a window. The wonderful morning became a little unpleasant when I had to wait for my coffee for about 10 minutes and then another 20 minutes for our orders. My food was not even hot. It seemed to me that it was sitting somewhere for a while before given to me. I understand the waitress was a bit busy on that morning. However, if I were her, then I would have delivered customers food rather than chatting with other customers whom I think she knows. I might try this place again to see if the services are getting better, but I certainly have no strong desire to recommend this Perkins to any other people.

My mother died and the last meal we had together was at this Perkins. Today was her birthday so I wanted to sit in the booth that we last sat in together, on the last day I saw her. As I walked in, we were being taken to be seated and I noticed the booth was free, but needed to be cleaned off. I politely asked if we could sit there. The person seating us turned abruptly to walk away and I asked if she heard me and she slammed the silverware and napkins down she was holding and said "I need to clean it." She was very rude and, since I walked in crying anyway, it wasnt something I needed. When she came back to clean the table, I told her Id like another waitress. She then said she was the manager. Well that makes it worse and more ridiculous, if thats the example she sets. It mightve been the last place I ate with my Mom, but itll also be the last time I eat at this location.

One of a national chain of casual old-style diners, the general standards of the establishment and menu items is consistently great. Tends to draw an older clientele and similarly the staff. Their experience generally makes the service excellent, personalized and you could easily become a friend. Food servings very generous, my wife and I are quite content sharing a single breakfast for example. The dishes are fresh, hot, tasty and finished to perfection you wont be sorry for anything you ordered. For those with a sweet tooth or who enjoy dessert there are plenty of beautiful and tasty scrumptious eats and treats. Thus in fact is a bit of a speciality for them and you really should try em at least once!

We sat in the front for 15 minutes waiting for someone to help us before we just left. Someone actually looked at us and just walked away as if she just saw through us so we went down to the one in Roseville which I love so much we walked in they were packed and the one in arden hills was completely empty as always... so when we got to Roseville even though it was packed we still got seated right away. So if you are ever looking for a perkins DONT GO TO THE ONE IN ARDEN HILLS THEY ARE RUDE. go to Roseville for a great experience. And by the way Im not an worker at Roseville perkins Im just a mad Arden hills perkins customer and a happy Roseville perkins customer

We went there after church on Sunday, arrived about 12:15pm, got seated rather fast considering the crowd but then waited 15 min to get at least coffee and place order, another 35-40 to get our food. Omlet plates were ok, could be warmer though, at that point we just wanted to eat ASAP and leave. Our server was new and clueless, plus some kind of bad situation in the kitchen after morning staff left at the end of shift. Go early morning - we got much better service with Laura (server) at 9am - or just go somewhere else after 12pm on the weekend.

The only pleasant experience we had was the Hostess who was very kind and personable The server was rude and she had no people skills. Only one cook was working so made food come out slowly and food was ice cold when brought to our table. Instantly felt sick after eating. The bathrooms were horrendous they needed maintenance and a good scrub down. Horrible food and some horrendous service never going back!

First and foremost, this restaurant has VERY LONG waits, upwards of 45 minutes very consistently. In addition, when I visited in mid June of 2017, they managed to create the worst eggs benedict Ive ever had. They somehow managed to create a poached egg with nearly solid yolk and runny whites. Decent biscuits and gravy on the side salvaged the meal from completely bad but not a good experience.

I go to Perkins because Im hungry, and I dont want any surprises. Service was great, seated right away, and greeted by my server promptly. However the food was a different story. My chicken fried steak was burned, and had the consistency of shoe leather, and my over easy eggs were over rock hard. Thats a shame, I like Perkins. Perhaps I caught them on a bad day.

hiking the prices isnt justified here. the service is really good and friendly, but the food isnt of quality to pay $11 for a subpar cheeseburger and 12 fries. they cut portions down but raised the prices so its pretty disappointing because id be more than happy if their food quality improved with it; but it didnt.

This place is always good. Belgian waffles are always fast, Kevin our server was top of the line, and since Ive been pregnant this perkins is the only one that will do my Belgian waffles with strawberries and whipped cream perfectly. Also, the greeters are always super friendly.
