A hidden gem in Apple Valley. Instead of smothering natural flavors with too much sugar, salt and oil, Satay highlights what is waiting to be discovered. Very good...Excellent. Never disappoints... and prepared fresh. If you are looking for something that tastes like what you find at your local food court, this is not the place for you. If you are tired of what you find at your local food court, this place delivers and delivers consistently. Explore the menu-each dish is unique. The milky buns are out of this world and worth every minute on the treadmill. The rice noodles, satay and curry soup are among my favorites. If you are looking for a break from the ordinary-check this place out. D

If you like Chinese or Indian food, and havent had Malaysian, give it a try. I cant add much to the prior reviews except to add my wholehearted endorsement to this fine establishment. As far as Asian food goes this place stands next to Wanderers Garden by Ridgedale for me when considering taste, service and value. I try to make it out to Apple Valley to eat here once a week, and of you consider that I am taking public transportation from Mpls and back to get this food, well... Just eat here!!!

Was looking for Mie Goreng and found it! It took a long while for the food to get out but the waiter and waitress were adorable. This is authentic Mie Goreng. I spent a year in Indonesia and this is the closest I have gotten. My other friend who travels all over Asia says this is his favorite Asian restaurant. This is gem and you should go! I hope you have a wonderful time like I did and order the Mie Goreng! (Im sure the other items are fine Apple Valley is just a bit far)

Seriously, this place is a sleeper of a restaurant. Its small cafe interior belies the excellence in food. The Singapore noodles are my personal stand by but the buns and most every dish is made with love. Plus you cant beat the counter service from the owners children. This truly is a family affair and it shows in the food. Be aware, however, that they close for a month once a year or so, and they are not open Sundays.

Delicious food and very friendly service. They are geared toward takeout, but there are also a few tables for dining in. Ive tried pretty much everything on the menu, but typically go back to the mee goreng (a noodle dish). There are color photos of every dish hanging on the counter, so you can see what a dish looks like if youre unsure of what to order, and the owner and staff are also happy to answer any questions.

So overall the food was really good. I ordered Hokkien Mee and I can taste it why it is is so popular but my only complaint was it has ONE shrimp and 2 chicken strips of 1X1 inch in size and 1/8 of an inch in thickness. So that is why I am giving is a low star rating. If you are vegan, order this dish since there is hardly ant meant in it

Been eating here for years. My favorite dish is Nasi Lamak and my husband loves the Laksa. Singapore rice noodles are his current favorite. You really wont be disappointed by anything you get. The prices are great. Also dont pass up the bakery. The anpan and coconut hearts are so addicting.

This is the best asian eatery bar none in Apple Valley. Words can not express the freshness of the food at Satay. Talk about friendly service, I will pay you if you can get the owner operator to stop talking. This wonderful family owned environment is a staple in apple valley.

GREAT! I go here for the laksa and the bakery. They have a decent menu and the food is always freshly made. I believe its family owned, so I try to give them as much business as possible. They have been here for years. Highly recommend this place.

This is a great place for a snack or full meal. Good food with a variety of flavors and textures. I wondered why people do not go here but go to a number of chain food places. Guess this is just the choices outer ring people make.

Albeit a small space, this place packs a big punch withexceptional food and service. A great gem around this area for food, especially Asian cuisine. Their pastries are delicious also. A must visit for lunch dinner or whatever.

The best Asian food variety restaurant in Apple Valley. This restaurant rivals the tastes of well known Minneapolis Asian restaurants such as Kwans or Sawatdee. This place screams authentic and has an Asian bakery to boot.

Probably one of the best independently owned restaurants in Apple Valley. Small eating area but large portions and the owners are absolutely genuine, friendly and care about the customer and food.

Best Asian food in MN. It is real and not Americanized. I have been to Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea many times. Based on my travels I can easily say this place is authentic as it gets.

One of Apple Valleys true dining gems. This was my introduction to Malaysian style food. Every dish Ive had here has been great. Asian bakery goods made on the spot as well!

Everything we tried was fantastic and the service was phenomenal. We waited a bit for out food but it was definitely worth it. End with a custard bun.

Small place with limited seating but great Pan-Asian eats. Service was a little slow but the great tasting fresh hot food is worth the wait.

Been going to Satay 2 Go for 3 years now, never disappointed with the food. The bakery items are great, as are the spring rolls.

Excellent food from wonderful people. None of the usual American-ized Asian food makes this lovely restaurant a winner in my book!

Simply put, the best Asian fusion restaurant in the south metro. The food is great and the owner treats you well.
