I found out this Sweetwaters location opened less than a week ago and it already provides the appearance and feel it has been here & belonged here for quite a while. The atmosphere is great! Different seating is available depending on group size (large table in front, smaller everywhere else), a comfortable amount of windows that provide an almost outdoor feel with the comfort of an indoor climate. More importantly, the Batistas and products here are top notch. Ive only tried a few of the drink items and Ive found it hard to leave not absolutely satisfied each time. It’s about time Ann Arbor learned to share Sweetwaters with Ypsilanti!

Sweeteaters is a great alternative to starbucks and the one in ypsi is, in my opinion, the best one in Michigan. The staff is super friendly, they are pretty involved in the local community with fun things like live music and trivia nights, and the coffee is on point. My only gripe is that they are not open as late as sbux down the road and they are just a teeny bit more pricey. Its worth it though because the quality is great. Try the French-Vietnamese coffee, its my go to drink.

This place is the loveliest! A bit over-priced, but arent all coffee shops nowadays? They always have art by local artists, the community table is a great place to meet, and their mochas are fantastic - satisfying without being cloyingly sweet. Whether you are looking for a hip joint to catch up with a friend, or a peaceful atmosphere to study in, this place will do it for you! The Ann Arbor locations are generally busier and noisier, but I wouldnt rule them out either.

Love Sweetwaters, but I have a gripe about coffee refills. I know its petty, but they charge basically the same amount for a refill as they do for a normal cup of to-go coffee, even when youre dining in with a ceramic mug. With my Starbucks Gold status, I get free coffee refills when Im in the cafe. Perhaps Sweetwaters wants to discourage people from spending too much time in the cafe?

Great staff, great environment. This is a chain, the rest being located in Ann Arbor. WiFi is the biggest perk with plenty of places to plug in phones and laptops. Price is a bit higher than youd expect but the drinks are delicious. They also have snacks. Right across from campus too. Parking is a pain, so I tend to just bicycle there.

This is my favorite coffee place. The staff are exceptional people, the drinks and food are delicious, and the atmosphere is delightful. I never minded that the place is a bit small, because it allows the environment to be kept fairly calm and relaxed.

Nice coffee shop super close to the university. They have pretty good light lunch items and snacks, and some decent desserts too. Its a bit cramped inside though, and not a ton of seating. Great place for a rendezvous or homework session.

This place has a good atmosphere and they play an eclectic range of music ranging from pop to Motown, soul and jazz. I was able to comfortably work on homework with a friend for a couple hours and the coffee I had was good black.

A hipster paradise and perfect for the college crowd, they have a super friendly and fast staff that makes good drinks. Maybe a bit on the expensive side, but if you limit your order to something simple its not a big deal.

Very clean. Nice space and friendly service. Coffee is alright. I always try to find the best bean, like a special roast of some sort from a good region. All in all pretty good.

Lovely place to get a coffee. Definitely a big competitor with Starbucks. I like sweet waters because its a less crowded atmosphere with more trendy drinks.

Good place to grab a coffee or study away from campus. Or just sit outside on a nice day (with a drink, ofc).

Their chocolate croissants are flakey buttery goodness. If nothing else buy that.
