Had really poor service. Given i was calling ready to pick up 20 min before closing, but the girl answering made sure to let me know they werent waiting around 1 sec past 10. She didnt give me a price and i was a little perturbed by the $18 mastacolli dinner for 1 with extra bread and a soda when i got there. Especially since dipping cheese for the breadsticks was extra.....???wtf?? Yeah i didnt get it neither since i figured it was included and after asking, the girl continued to make me feel like i was unwelcomed and hassling her to do her job. All that aside when i got home my meal was absolute crap. 3 little pieces of meat hidden under noodles with cheese. Had to call back, and although the manager was pleasant and gave me a credit i felt very unfortunate for the experience as highland house is a name/restaurant ive loved for years and the carry out did not compare to the original on any bases.

Frist time there tried to order over the phone and the person had no clue what I was asking for. Decide to go to the place and give my orders there, I had to waited 30 min and when I went up to the counter my food was sitting on a cart for awhile and she was in the back eating and had a mouth full of food, when she handed it to me. My order was wrong. Missing items, wrong food. I was not going to wait for it to be fixed. Then there was the girl who was working behind the counter that threw someone hat on the ground that was left behind, kept kicking her legs up in the air and wiping food on the floor. The restaurant its self looked like it hasnt been cleaned in awhile u could see food in corners and walls and table needed a good clean. In the end I requested my money back and will not go back there again. I dont even want to leave a star..

Absolutely terrible food. I love Highland House, and thought thats where I called. Found out I actually had called the Cafe, so I picked up my order there. The breadsticks were about half the thickness as normal, short, and chewy. The ribs were also tiny, and the mostocolli literally had almost no sauce. The salad was fine, although I asked for ranch and they gave me italian. The chicken was good. Will definitely make sure I order from the restaurant next time, this was a huge waste of $50, and everyone was disappointed.

The staff is super friendly, without being fake and without even expecting a tip. If you are dining in, you pay first and they bring you food to you. I paid with my credit card and there isnt a line for a tip. The staff was so nice, that I gave them a cash tip. The food was fresh, tasty and it came on real plates. Ill be back again. The only drawback is the atmosphere. Its a carry-out, so there isnt many frills and I could hear the stereo from the restaurant next door. Minor complaints in an overall good experience.

Changed from 5 to 2 stars... Food is always wonderful and 9 out of 10 times, so is the customer service, but the high school girl who was working the register tonight - she needs a serious attitude adjustment! Im an adult and I let it slide, but if I owned a store and had a worker with that kind of attitude toward my customers, shed get a hard lesson in life that you cant act like that in the real world! Judging from other reviews, sounds like Im not alone in this situation.

We were first timers last night. We got carry out pizza, salad, and dessert. We loved it. Weve tried three different local pizza joints the past few weeks since we moved here, looking for what will be or Friday night place to get our pizza. This is it!!! The big house pizza was much better than any national chain pizza place. I highly recommend.

Ordered a 3 toping pizza. Two of the toppings were similar to one of their specialty pizzas so they charged us the specialty pizza price. Even though we ordered as a regular pizza with slightly different topings. We politely paid and left... but will no longer be ordering from here since we dont appreciate bring ripped off.

We have been coming here since 1981 and we still rate Highland House as our favorite place to dine in the area. Food is always consistent in quality, thats what keeps us coming back. From steaks to salads always first class. Try for yourself and Im sure that you will agree the food is great!

Great food, however order system is catastrophic at best and staff refuses to admit mistakes. It is a well known fact in the area that ordering from here means your food will take twice the given length and you shouldnt be suprised if they dont give you all of the food you order.

I used to love the pizza now its terrible and looks terrible the employees no longer make good pizzas they just dont care!! Piizza looked so bad...., not enough cheese I wish I could post a pic. I gave it a 2nd chance and got a cold pizza! but never again

I work next door and this is my go to lunch. Yum. Breadsticks, cheese dip, cheesecake and Michigan apple salad, cobb salad and the buffalo chicken sandwhich are all amazing. Highly recommend!
