Today, I overheard a customer order a "Michigan Burrito", intrigued as to what this "Michigan Burrito" could be I asked the waitress, "What is this Michigan Burrito he is talking about?" Her reply was something that has my head-in-a-whirl, a truly "grab your things, Ive come to take you home" kind of feels. It is a 10 inch flour tortilla filled with steak, onions, and cilantro. Thats it. Oh! Wait, you have to order a side of limes and squeeze lime juice into every bite of this originally-magnificent-always copied-never duplicated-best-burrito of my life, the Taqueria Alamedas "Michigan Burrito". ORDER ONE TODAY! ORDER ONE ALWAYS! MICHIGAN BURRITO. MICHIGAN BURRITO. MICHIGAN BURRITO.

Decent food; Im a fan of the marinated-pork, American-style tacos. Their burritos are a little bland, and their hot sauce was sweet and didnt have even the slightest hint of spice to it. I think they could do very well if they had a drive-thru, but theyre stuck in a hole-in-the-wall location that is easily overlooked if youre just driving by. All-in-all, this is my preferred location for Mexican-style eats in Westland.

An awesome, family-run taqueria. Often busy, not very much table space, and sometimes a wait to get food ordered for takeout. But the food is absolutely delightful and very fresh, they are very friendly and very obliging, and I am usually willing to wait a few extra minutes to have their amazing and authentic creations! The price is also very reasonable.

I would never have known this place was there but a friend tool me. Talk about confusingly good. Crispy tacos are the way to go! Odd selection of groceries to boot. Inside isnt much to write home about but the food makes up for that. There is no public restroom, but if you ask nicely they will let you use the one in the kitchen.

The friendly staff may be the best part about this place. Delicious food, I usually get tacos on corn tortilla and quesadilla. Burritos are about the size of your head if youre really hungry. Can get busy at times. Glass-bottle coke with real cane sugar is a must. Very inexpensive groceries/hot sauce if you need.

Flavorless... I ordered a small Pozole and their combination #1. Ive had better from Taco Bell. Dont waste your time. Want great Mexican food? Visit Lupitas on Bagley, in Detroit. Dont want to drive down town? ANYWHERE is better than here. *I didnt get food poisoning, so I gave it 2 stars.

There food is terrible it is un cooked service is terrible I ask for a Taco and when I got it I had no meat and I said can you give me meat please they said no too bad can you pay now I said no I want meat they said you have to leave now so dont eat here and I smell like dead fish in there

Tiny hole in the wall with friendly service and amazing food. Love their fresh chips and flavorful mild salsa, I could drink that stuff right up. Favorites include steak tacos Mexican style with onion, lime and cilantro and their fantastic botana. Get the small, generous servings.

Amazing food and you cant beat the price. Just wish theyd give more corn chips with the chips and salsa. You run out of chips with tons of salsa left. The salsa is the whip though. Tons of cilantro ❤️ #3 combo is the best with double rice no beans. The rice is amazing.

This place is fantastic. Great food, great prices, and prompt, friendly service. One of the most authentic places youll find around metro Detroit. They do not serve alcohol. Dont forget to browse the market while youre there. Try the horchata, its a game changer.

Phenomenal. Reminds me of being back in Mexico. Salsa roja is the best- even better than mi pueblos. And anyone who orders a burger at an authentic mexican place then is inconsiderate enough to let their kid scream for 15 minutes is welcome to go elsewhere.

The quality and quantity of food for the price is such an amazing deal. Delicious, authentic Mexican food for a low price. I have never had cold food and my order is always ready when I get there. Nothing beats a $1 fully-loaded lunch taco!

A hidden gem! Love the cultural atmosphere. The salsa is delicious, they served me hot, fresh tortilla chips, and I loved the rice. I even liked that they have a little store section to purchase Mexican products. Staff is friendly too.

This is a little place but dont get fooled, there is a restaurant inside. The food is delicious and the meats of the tacos are delicious. This is one of the few authentic Mexican food places in michigan.

Street tacos and horchata. Barbacoa was chewy and gamey, chorizo was very overcooked - some burnt chunks even. Horchata was watery and lacked cinnamon/rice notes; tasted more like vanilla milk.
