I cant help but feel insulted after reading Everett Palmers scathing review of Carleton, Michigans very own China Club. To answer his question, yes, I have had "good" Chinese food and it is in my opinion (and that of the 11 other Google reviewers that gave 5 stars) that China Club CONSISTENTLY delivers not just "good" Chinese food, but EXCELLENT Chinese food with epic proportions. My husband and I have been loyal customers for the past few years now and have never had a bad dish. In fact, my husband orders the Szechuan chicken a lot and it has never been swimming in anything but deliciousness. The veggie fried rice is one of my favorites and I order it every time — not once has it been oily or greasy. As far as the egg rolls go… they are another excellent menu item. My guess is, Everett, that you have mistaken this gem of a restaurant for another. Or perhaps you just have an extremely immature pallet.

Youve got to be kidding me! Have any of you reviewers ever had good Chinese food? Based on your "excellent" reviews I went there. I knew it probably wasnt good because there were no customers at all at lunch time...and the place smelled like it had had a fire recently......My food was terrible! Szechuan chicken was swimming in a mixture of Soy and Hoisen sauce. Everything was black. Flavorless, other than the salt...Egg roll wrapper was stale. Fried rice was very oily (or more likely, greasy). And this was their recommendation to a new (and now former) customer. Could very well rank up there with the WORST that I ever had...Ever...

Ive gotten carry out here a few times and it has always been excellent. Decided to dine in their dining room tonight with the family. Once again very good food. When our waitress packed up our leftovers she added a bunch more chicken fried rice to each one of our boxes and at the end of our meal in addition to the usual fortune cookies you get at a Chinese restaurant she brought a tray of warm Chinese sugar pastries. Nice touch. I will definitely be back.

We order from here all the time, and its always great. The employees are so nice, I actually I wanted to go out of my way to leave a review about it. Seriously, its not like there are many options for Chinese food around here, but of the few, Im glad that this one is top notch enough to make it worth it.

Food was delicious. General Tsos and Sesame chicken were lightly breaded and sauced, much better than many Chinese places. Impeccable service (although the fact that only 2 tables were occupied probably helped). Just passing through the area, but a great choice for a dinner stop.

This is our absolute favorite Chinese restaurant! We drive 40 min out of they way to have it. The place is clean, the food delicious, and the service is impeccable! Having only came a few times, they began to remember us and continue to make us feel welcome every time :)

Hidden gem. These ladies are AMAZING. They have the beat service I have ever experienced, anywhere- ever- and the food is delicious AND reasonable! Egg rolls are Real and not the nasty cabbage filled fakes at so many other places. AN ABSOLUTE MUST TRY!
