The margaritas were tasty but very small. I know they were on special, but it would have been nice if there was a deal on the pitchers of margaritas on Monday too. The jalapenos were pickled and they added .50 to my bill for them. Fresh jalapenos should have been an option. I always get frustrated by the additional charge for something as small as jalapenos at a sit down restaurant. It should be factored into the cost. Its just an awkward moment for the waiter and the customer that doesnt need to happen. The carnitas tacos had good flavor, but the beans and rice were average at best.

If I had a choice to starve for the night or eat at this place, Im choosing to starve. Me giving one star is being too generous.. The people who gave good reviews are either being paid off or are working at the place. The food was disgusting, and when I say disgusting, Im saying please go to Taco Bell or the bottom of a dumpster in Mexican-town for a tastier Mexican dish. I paid $15 for refrigerated tacos, a plate of rice-a-roni and refried beans from a can. Their food is trash and their drinks are watered down.

Usually my girlfriends and I enjoy the food and drinks but last night, we were not impressed. Everything was bland from the salsa to the drinks. The food was cold and seasonless. The drinks were below expectations. For a $13 drink the drink should be exceptional. The manager came over and explained that they cut back on their seasoning because customers complained that it was too much seasoning. Its a Mexican restaurant which translates to flavorful and kick. Very disappointed!

Melissa is hands down the best server Ive ever had the pleasure of meeting in my entire life. She is so friendly and on top of her tables. There was never a moment we wanted for anything. We came back to Mesa for the sole reason of seeing her again. But enough about that- the drinks are pretty good, depending on the bartender. Love the chips and the guac is good but not $8 good. Needs more flavor. We love the chicken flautas as well. But Melissa really sells this place !!

The staff was amazing and the food was great! I got the chicken flautas as am appetizer and they tasted phenomenal, crispy on the outside and filled with an awesome pulled chicken mix. We asked for spicy salsa as well as the mild they bring with the chips for the free munchies. My husband and I also shared a margarita pitcher. We each got three drinks out of it and they were really good! I love coming here, as a date night or an outing with friends.

Nice ambience with giant TV screen and $3 house margaritas anytime on Monday or any day during happy hours, it was good experience to hang out and have dinner with friends. Dave was the waiter for us and he was very pleasant and friendly. One of my friends by mistake forgot to collect her credit card after paying her bill there and Dave came outside the restaurant looking for us to return the card. Food was good too. I had good time there.

Delicious Mexican! This was our first time visiting the Mexican restaurant and how fortunate we were to run into this gem! Amazing chips and salsa, excellent daily deals, wonderful drinks/cocktails, and outstanding service. We visited knowing Drew of the former "Drew and Mike" show, we believe is still part sponsor of this restaurant.....very enjoyable experience and would recommend to ALL of my friends. :)

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Tasteless, cold food. Should have known there was a problem when the Salsa tasted like tomato sauce. Rice was disgusting! Manager didnt seem to care. He did take off 15.00 from the bill. I told him we would never be back. The waitress was great and tried to make every accommodation for us. I hope she finds a better place to work.

Ive been here a few times, we ordered tacos. I wasnt blown away the first time, but it was decent. The second time, I ordered the pork belly based on a friends recommendation, it was dry, rubbery and lacked flavor. I love the corn at Imperial so ordered it here, again, it was just ok. I will say my habanero peach margarita was tasty, the right amount of heat.

Been 3 times. First time, food was great. Each time thereafter, Ive been disappointed. Most recently, I ordered a chicken burrito that came sans chicken. The waitress just took my plate and returned with a pile of chicken. No apologies, and charged me full price for an incomplete meal. I also had the sangria, which tasted like artificial sweetener - gross.

I had the carnitas de puerco tacos which were excellent. First off the Chile pork was perfect, and the onion escabeche (Mexican pickled onions) were a near spot on addition, although I prefer them a bit more spicy. I give them five stars for the tacos, but sides were underwhelming. The beans and rice were served lukewarm, and my rice was overcooked.

I went here with my family for dinner and I ordered their mess a burger and first off it tasted bland like there was no seasoning I ordered it well done and it came out medium rare but I ate it anyway and the next day me and a couple other my family members that ordered this were throwing up and couldnt stay out the bathroom. Horrible experience.

Worst experience ever they didnt bring my change saying they use some round off system which is basically keeping our change then the manager got attitude & just threw my change on the table will never come back again this seems to be the trend in restaurants now & me myself dont appreciate someone taking my change

I wasnt pleased..the service was slow, and the tacos had no flavor...its not authentic mexican food, it seems like just someone who decided to serve mexican like food and left the culture out of it..I shoulda stayed home instead of wasting wasting $70..whack margaritas as well...who doesnt use a margarita glass?

Terrible experience. We showed up in a party of roughly 30 on Sunday night. Food was God-awful and the service staff was rude beyond belief. I truly would utter the review written below me with regards to "starving for a night" rather than eating here. Hands down, terrible service, terrible food and over-priced.

I called to double check the hours of operation before heading to Mesa. I was told that the kitchen closed at 11 and the restaurant would close at 12. When I arrived at 10:52 the host told me that the kitchen had already closed since it was a slow night. I will not be returning to this establishment.

Only got one refill on my water/pop. Waitress didnt stop to do much of anything the entire hour we were there. Food came out cold. It really didnt even taste all that great for how much they charge. Not the best place to enjoy a Mexican dinner. Head down to El-Diablo a block down if you must eat out.

Mediocre Mexican, at best. I dont know how they prepare the food here, but I sincerely doubt its the traditional way. If youre oblivious to what good Mexican food is, go for it. Otherwise, save your "South of the Border" tastes for Mexicantown.

I enjoyed my lunch while I was visiting and found the prices very reasonable, my sister and I unfortunately got food poisoning. We reached out via email to the restaurant regarding the experience but did not get a response.
