I have had a horrible experience working with this restaurant. I was planning on getting their food to bring to a local client. I called there all day. I called in the morning and they could not take my order because they did not know how, I guess. I called later in the day and they did not answer the phone. They let it ring until it stopped ringing. When they finally answered they said they still could not take my order because it was too busy. I just called again and guess what, they could not take my order again! This time they gave me some managers cell phone number. I called the manager and got his voicemail. I didnt leave a message because I am just fed-up with the horrible service. Do worry Pancheros I am sure I can get my food from any local restaurant. I am not going to beg you to take my order. I will never call or eat there. Thanks for wasting my day!

Ive been here 4 times total and itll probably be the last time, to this location. We originally went on the opening day and had a great experience, food was great, service was good (considering they had a line out the door), and we even meet the owner who was a great person! We came back for the second, third, and fourth time and it seemed that everything went downhill. Food quality is awful, service was very poor, and while some tables were cleaned others were not. I would like to point out that we came in at or around lunch time so it is peek hours BUT they are NEVER busy! Each of the last 3 times we came we were the only one or there was one person in front of us and it still took 10 minutes to get our food! The Pancheros in Canton is much better and the Pancheros in East Lansing is simply the best!

I went into Pancheros with seven different orders that I had to deliver elsewhere on April Fools. Everyone there was friendly and courteous. The service was impeccable. Its the best service I have ever had. Between all seven orders, our group had tried everything, and shared. The food is awesome, and mouthwatering. And now my friends are gonna be a regular customers there. Their food is prepared fresh, and it is worth it. My favorite is their burritos, my family has become addicted there!!! For anyone who has never tried it, give it a try...there food is of best quality. I also suggest trying the Queso, and their homemade guacamole, their pica and corn salsa is excellent to.

I love the food there and the music they play. Im officially addicted! If the ingredients are fresher than Chipotle I cant really say, but if you watch the news lately, anything is fresher than they are. And the only thing that really sets Chipotle apart is their chips. The staff isnt rude; they just lack focus or might be a bit complacent, which I understand. Sometimes its slow there -- it is where I worked too -- and when nobodys coming you zone out and lose your energy. Everybody needs a boost now and then.

Came to Pancheros late at night to get some food. My group of friends were the only group of people there and somehow they still took a while to get our food ready and confused our order. They also "made" more queso in front of us by pouring water into the old queso tray that was sitting out and mixing it in front of us. I understand that this might be standard protocol everywhere, but at least take that back to kitchen and "make" the queso back there.

I walked away from my 9+ dollar order at the counter. Behind the counter was discussing. I was actually afraid to eat it. They messed up my order and I was the only person in line. Charged me, asked where my chips were. Said he didnt charge me for them and then showed me my receipt. Then I said I still want my chips and charged me for them. Then ran in the back and didnt give me my receipt or even before I could even ask. I walked away.

The girl behind the counter was really nice but really stingy on everything I ordered. I actually had to say something to her which is never do but it just wasnt normal. The place was clean but not behind the counter. Kind of weird too seeing as i was the ONLY person there. Dirty pans on the floor and she had to keep refilling different containers while another employee sat on her phone at a near by table. The food was okay.

Tried it on a whim... So glad we stopped. The lady working there was unbelievably friendly, knowledgeable and proud to be there. They make their tortillas fresh in front of you. Pick everything and anything you want and enjoy the experience! First time I experienced this, after they build your creation they mix everything up before closing it assuring every bit is amazing.

Service sucked. The staff used racial slurs against myself and family because we came in too close to closing time. Then called the police to have us kicked out before we could even eat our food. Over the phone the manager told us to come back tomorrow to get a refund for the meal we didnt eat and when we went to get the refund for our party of 7 she told us to "f*** off".

Update - 9 March 2017 - The actual facility has gone downhill. Today we arrived to see the exterminator crawling around the dining area and applying pesticide. Most of the tables are dirty with food scraps. The floors have not mopped in a while. The beverage area is sticky with spilt pop. There is a lot of mold growing on the ice dispenser.

Fantastic, fresh, delicious. Pancheros hands down is the best burrito restaurant out there. The freshly-made tortillas and ingredients are key here, they are AWESOME. The fact that the ingredients are blended together evenly just adds even more here, every bite is consistently delicious. I highly recommend Pancheros for lunch or dinner!!

As a vegetarian I was super excited about their tofu option (better than Chipolte). Everytime Ive been back they are out of the tofu. Doesnt matter the day or time. The last time I was there they said theyd make st he tofu for my boyfriend and I if we didnt mind waiting. Ten minutes later they tell us there isnt enough for 2 people!

Its good, alot like Chipolte except with fresh food instead. They make their own totillas and some guy named bob mixes everything in the burrito. (FYI that guy is a total tool) Also, and a lot of people dont know this, but pancheros once spent a drunk weekend with chipolte back in the early 90s. Nine months later Qdoba was born.

If I have choice between Pancheros and Chipotle, I would go Chipotle. The food is so so, and the atmosphere lacks theme unlike Chipotle. Pancheros should work very hard to catch up the leaders in this fast casual Mexican food. Chipotle is just 600ft down John R Road and Qdoba is another 600ft down 14 Mile Road.

In the pantheon of Chipotle clones, this place is fairly unique. Has some actual spice to it if you wish, decent flavor, and good meat. The central conceit of fresh made tortillas is a nice one, though that will depend if you like the texture of it. Certainly worth a try!
