Talk about a hidden treasure. This little Barker is just off the main strip in the city. I asked a local where we could get some good coffee and expecting them to say a big chain coffee shop I was happy when they suggested here. The ladies that run the place were patient and used to dealing with tourists. There is a gift shop attached as well so you can browse while waiting on your coffee. The baked good smelled wonderful and the bread was a nice addition to the afternoon meal.

The place to go for a cappuccino or coffee. Local, good prices, friendly service, and delicious donuts. We were there off-season, so the service was fast which we were grateful for based on other reviews of it being too busy. Go on Tuesday afternoon, and you might even find a knitting group sipping their tea and chatting away. Extra tip: the "pasties" (with gravy) are amazing - whats that you ask? Youll just have to embrace the local food to find out for yourself.

What an amazing experience! We thought we would stop by on our way out of town, and I am still kicking myself for not finding this place sooner. A wide selection of local teas (that were amazing), numerous pastries (again...amazing), and even the coffee was great! The staff was very friendly, and you could tell that it was genuine. Unfortunately, I dont get to visit this area often. But every time from here out I will definitely be stopping by each morning!

The Mackinaw Bakery has been one of our must-stop destinations in the area for my entire life. They are celebrating their 40th year this year, and for good reason. Great donuts and breads at good prices made and sold by nice people. They do have WiFi and plenty of space, as well as a nice little shop on the north side of the bakery. Could not recommend it more highly!

After searching forever to find something open we found the Bakery. Cute. We got hot sandwiches for the boys that took 10 minutes and when I wanted to get a few muffins and a coffee while we waited we were pushed aside as there was a long line. And told I had to wait to finish my order. I had really hungry boys under 7. I would recommend for people without kids. :)

My husband & I went to Mackinaw City for a week and made this place our daily stop. It is so charming & the people who own and operate the place are Fantastic!! Their baked goods are so Yummy!! We sampled so many things and had sandwiches made on Homemade Croissants, Wow, so good!! It was what we thought to be The Gold Star of our trip. Go Enjoy!!

My husband and I absolutely love this place. Friendly staff, best fresh baked goods weve had anywhere here and they have a separate area for you to enjoy your coffee and donut away from the busyness that walks in to order. We will definitely come back here multiple times again whenever we visit Mackinaw.

The wife and I stopped here in October 2016 for a few donut snacks on our way to our up north honeymoon. We both got coffee which was pretty good and a few donuts. They donuts were pretty big and had good flavor. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean. I’m certain we would stop in again...

Stopped in to get a cup of coffee, and I had high hopes of it being a great cup of coffee after all the reviews... BUT... The coffee seemed kinda weak for my liking. But I like strong coffee. The staff was super friendly, and their baked goods looks AND smelled delicious!

This bakery has the best doughnuts in northern Michigan! I encourage everyone to visit them! Every year our organization and over 100 members meet and walk the Bridge. Weve been buying doughnuts from here for the past 4 years and all of our members love them!

It is strange that they open at 6am and at 6:30 there are no donughuts done. So I am giving a one star rating due to the fact the they had barely any doughnuts ready. Dont feel like you have to get to this shops early, because they wont have any doughnuts.
