I just went to south china yesterday and I have officially decided id never ever go into that place again. The waitress was horribly rude to my DISABLED mother (mom tried to suggest a change to the sweet sauce and egg rolls) and the waitress started snapping at her telling her everyone liked the sauce and it was homemade. Mom simply said "Ive been eating here for years. and this is not what Ive had before, I think it would be better changed back to how it was" And so our waitress says "Whatever!" and storms off into the kitchen where she began yelling in Chinese (assuming about us)...DONT support eating places like this, go to Hunan Gardens at texas corners instead, W Q Ave.! Ive had my best restaurant experiences at Hunan.

I love South China! Best chinese dine in or carry out joint in Kalamazoo I think personally. I agree the best fried rice and egg rolls are sold here. The rice is very flavorful I almost always choose Beef fried with extra green onion. The Crab Rangoons are also very good. I havent tried too much, ONLY because, I dont know a lot about the dishes, but Im pretty sure theyre are great! Thinking about ordering from there right now! Also the place is now nicely furnished after the fire, so dine in isnt so bad now a days, I still prefer carry out though. Friendly service, quick and easy grab n go when you call in. My order is always exactly what I ask for even if its complicated. Keep it up South China! I give you FIVE STARS!

The thing about this place is that... The food is not "textbook" Chinese. Some dishes taste nothing like how they would at other Chinese restaurants. However...the food is incredible. Theres no other single word to describe it. It is, without a doubt, the most addicting Chinese food I have ever tasted in my life. And the prices are great too. Very large portions for the price! The employees are very friendly and tend to remember repeat customers; Theyre fun to talk with if theyre not busy. To sum it up, I would say that South China is kind of like the "home-style" of Chinese food restaurants. It doesnt always taste like how you might generally expect, but its usually just as good or better than youve ever had before.

Great place to eat I love there fried chicken rice, and there chicken noodle soup is very good will order it Everytime, and their crab rangoons are awesome, the egg drop soup is beyond compare I love the food its all very good the place is always clean and service is prompt and accurate and the amount of food for the money its worth it!

I have been eating here since I was a kid. The food is still very good. The chicken noodle and the egg drop soup is awesome to say the least. The chicken and broccoli I had last week taste exactly the same as it did 20 years ago, bravo south china, thought we lost you when the building burnt down. thank you for rebuilding!!!!

Do not go here! The customer service is really mean and the food is inconsistent in terms of how good it is and portion size. Every single time I have gotten the chicken there is bones in it. Avoid at all costs.
