We dined out on the patio area, so I definitely enjoyed the blend of the neat interior space with sitting next to the river. Im still working myself into appreciating beer as a whole more (since its sacrilege to not like beer when youre from Kalamazoo!), so the server was kind enough to bring me several samples to see what I might like. I certainly dont have a refined enough palette yet for beer to speak on its quality, though I had the Whitsun Ale. The cafeteria-style food arrangement was interesting, and the food itself was okay, albeit pricey. I went with the larger of the two sizes of mac-and-cheese for $7, which comes out in rather a small bowl. The portion of cornbread was awesome, though, and I liked what I assumed were house-made pickles. My friend had a bit of a gripe that the chicken came on savory waffles, which was a bit overwhelming on saltiness. I discovered upon going to reheat my leftovers the next morning that the papery take-home boxes woefully stuck all over my food, which was disappointing the next day. All in all an underwhelming experience, though maybe Id enjoy it better once I could appreciate the beer.

I wasnt going to bother with writing it all out, but since you asked... I lost my appetite for your brisket when I saw the man who handled & cut my portion, (wearing gloves) go out the back door, get supplies from some storage area, then return to his post cutting meat--wearing his food safety gloves the whole time! Believe me, theres no point in wearing food-handling gloves if youre going to touch door handles, cash registers, computer screens, menus, etc. Germs & bacteria will spead easily from any of those surfaces to the meat. To add insult to injury, we couldnt find a service person to order drinks until the meal was mostly gone. And we were sitting alone on the back area. All that being said, Im still planning to come back and have another taste. Now...Arent you sorry you asked?

Ive been going to Arcadia for 2 years consistently, but every time the quality and service seems to get worse and worse, slowly. I went last week during restaurant week, and had to wait in line for a half hour for 2 tacos...their kitchen staff always seems incredibly understaffed and inefficient. They need to find a way to either make their line faster or completely redo their kitchen strategy. They were also out of nearly half of their beers with very few replacements. Not sure if thats a management issue or what. This place definitely has potential, but its hard to reason going there when you have to stand in line for pre-cooked food for a half hour and when the beer selection is incredibly minimal.

We went on a Monday, our first time. Its a cool place, quirky with lots of entertainment options for kids and adults, nice atmosphere and good beer. But the food, the food was just terrible. I ordered coleslaw that Im pretty sure was just cabbage and water, it was inedible. Macaroni that was less stellar, its flavor reminded me of low end grocery deli macaroni. The brisket was bland and the only flavor it had was derived from the salt I added. My wife had the pulled pork, it was equally disappointing with baked beans and potato salad that were just okay. So, if you want beer, nature and entertainment, this would be a nice place, if you looking for good food...

Although I personally dont drink, the food and atmosphere are wonderful. My family and I come here often due to the great food and friendly atmosphere. Although the focus is drinking, the food is delicious and selection is pretty good. Much of the food is meat, however, there are some non-meat options they offer. Along with great food, they also allow dogs and sometimes have live music. I would highly recommend eating here during the summer since they roll up their garage doors and have a wonderful outdoor eating area along the river, which also creates a great, airy vibe. Overall, this is a great place to have drinks [if thats you] and eat great food.

Love most of your beers. However, I bought your 12 pack variety pack containing your Whitsun Summer Ale and felt compelled to let you know that I was very disappointed with the excessive amount of fizz"/carbonization in each bottle that overpowered the flavor. I thought I had drunk some last summer but did not recall this issue. I poured my last one out after having half drunk and cannot say I am too anxious to even try the final one in my case. Too bad. I liked your ales in the past but not too excited about spending premium prices on a gamble that your other untried flavors would be worthwhile.

Beer was good, the staff was very friendly and I was thoroughly impressed with the brewery side of things. I was less impressed with the food. Although the burnt brisket ends were tender and the meat was flavorful the sauce was not. The meat was served as a very small portion and was swimming in half an inch of grease. We spent $20 on one brat (no bun or anything, just the sausage), about three ounces of brisket and some French fires. Way over priced for the food we received. I will be coming back for the atmosphere and beer but not the food.

Nothing like the one in Battle Creek. First of they dont have pizzas, which is what their restaurant in BC is know for. Second, its cafeteria style service. You go up to the counter to order your food from a very limited menu. To get drinks you have to go to the bar. The food was meh at best. Their Mac and cheese with bacon was weirdly sweet. Overall it was very disappointing. Next time I rather drive the half hour to Battle Creek.

We traveled from Florida to see this brewery, on a brew tour. We walked into this place at midnight on Tuesday. Says it closes at 1 am the bartender says they are closing down for the night. Wah wah. I understand that business may be slow during the week, but then dont post your hours as still getting open. If anything slow nights working at a brewery should be like heaven, guess they dont like their own beers, lame.

Arcadia Brewing Company is a perfect addition to Kalamazoo. There is a large bar and fantastic beer garden space overlooking the Kalamazoo River. The management is very helpful, I held a large event in their event space and coordinating it from across the country was a breeze with the help of the management team and staff. We were made to feel very welcome - I highly recommend this place!

Great clean atmosphere with an open back wall that leads out to the river. Lawn games out back were a blast. Tried several beers there, all of them great. I recommend the Cheap Date, as it is a very aromatic hop forward beer with a hard bite and very refreshing middle and after taste. Brewed with pride and precision! The burnt ends and brisket were ridiculous too. Keep it up guys.

We had our wedding ceremony in the garden at Arcadia, and it was absolutely amazing! Laura and Jim made our day as amazing as could be, and Laura especially worked tirelessly the day of to make sure everything was setup just right. We couldnt recommend Arcadia enough for ANY kind of event, not to mention just as a place to hang out and grab a drink.
