The Coffee Barrel is a long-standing favorite of mine dating back to my college days at MSU. For years, I continued to get my Coffee Barrel fix by mail-ordering their beans. Their current location is new to me. They have moved from their old location closer to campus, but the new location has a comfortable, small seating area with tables, chairs and even a couple of armchairs. They have a wide variety of beans available for purchase and I have always found their coffee to be excellent. They roast their own coffee and much of it is fair trade coffee. The entrance is handicap accessible and I believe the bathrooms are as well. Though the bathroom entrances may be a bit narrow to navigate with a wheelchair, I think they are still accessible. A small selection of food is available, although it is the typical cafe fare - pastries, cookies, etc. Ample free parking available in an adjacent parking lot. Although it is a little bit more of a hike from campus these days, it is still a favorite coffee stop for me when Im in the Lansing/East Lansing area!

The coffee is very good and the atmosphere is cozy, even in the freezing weather. I asked for soy milk in my latte and the very friendly employees were quick to ask whether I had a dairy allergy and to thoroughly clean all the appliances and utensils before making my coffee. I ordered a sugar free hazelnut and rum soy latte and it is delicious. I dont spring for fancy coffees very often, but this was worth it! I definitely recommend!

Ive been buying my coffee beans here for years. They have a great variety of tasty roasts and blends, great service and the store smells WONDERFUL! Seriously, they could charge just for breathing in there. If you enjoy great, fresh roasted coffee and supporting local small businesses, you cant go wrong with the Coffee Barrel.

Ive been buying my coffee beans from the coffee barrel for at least twelve years. (It was in another location then.) To me, its the best hands down. I could not come back to life in the morning without it. The coffee bar also has a great atmosphere and sweet and friendly baristas. Couldnt be better.

I have been a customer for over 15 years. The coffee is consistently roasted and always fresh. My favorites are Italian Espresso (I use a starbucks barista home espresso machine), Decaf Italian Espresso, and French Roast. Buy this coffee you will glad you did.

I have decided that I like this place better than the other coffee shops in the Lansing area because is always spotlessly clean every time that I have been there. And it has always been relatively QUIET in there. The quite ambience is a Biggby for me.

Great coffee and very nice staff. I went for the first time today with a coworker tondo some paperwork and get caffeinated. I have never seen such an extensive latte menu! Its also great that they roast their own beans and have fair trade products.

So inviting and smells great! Unique decor and so many choices. Specialty lattes are custom designed to mimic the flavored coffees. French Kiss is my favorite. Taking some beans home with me today!
