This place used to be pretty great. The karaoke Saturday night and drink specials, the crowd it was all a good time a little over a year ago. But now it is not worth your time! They renovated the bathrooms (although they are still tiny and almost impossible to turn around in!) and with that they made a lot of changes for the worse. The new karaoke DJ is a mediocre singer at best and the song selection is terrible. On Saturday nights they set the clock ahead and pack up at ten to one. Once thats over the four other people in the bar are usually gone and they basically shove you out the door. The drink specials no longer exist and they took all of the good drinks off the menu. This used to be one of my favorite places to go on Saturday night but once Greg (the previous DJ) stopped coming the place crashed and burned. Save yourself the time and DONT GO!

Buds is a great place to hang out! 3 different Bells beers on tap right now and a great winter menu! The atmosphere is cozy, like youre visiting your favorite cool Aunt and Uncle. Go more than once or twice and the servers treat you like long time friends. This isnt a chain restaurant where youll be churned out the door for the sake of turn over, and its not a new building with all the latest renovations, so youll have to make due with small bathrooms, but who cares?! Im not hanging out in the bathroom anyway! Upon reading the reviews and comparing them to the more common experience, I see that people more often than not complain loudly. Check it out, see for yourself, Buds is great place to be!

The beer is flat. Its that simple. I live right around the corner and go to Bud & Stanleys once in awhile. The past 3 or 4 times Ive gone, it went like this: I order a beer and its kind of flat. I send it back for a new brand thinking that its a bad keg. But then the replacement beer is also flat. Im pretty much a drunk, and I know a flat beer when I taste one. Yet the wait staff sometimes treats me a bit tersely when I ask for a new beer. The only thing worse than a warm beer is a flat beer. Anyone knows that. The food is also kind of hit or miss. Prices are decent though. Outdoor deck is decent. Lots of TVs. Overall... meh...

Terrible service. Never been here before, witnessed other parties arriving very near our arrival time, their food arrived before our order was taken, so was easy to sense cadence of service. Once food arrived, another 20 minutes, I was THEN told the dish I requested couldnt be fulfilled. Bizarre. Manager asked how everything was with waitress in earshot. Wasnt going to make a scene. Unsure what happened here... Waitress didnt like us? Would have been MUCH easier and quicker to eat at home.

I like this place, the food has always been great, good burgers, seasoned French fries, I often get the wet-burrito which is way more food than anyone should eat in a single sitting. Exceptional service. We would go more often if they had better parking. Many times weve gone the parking lot is either over filled (I dont like parking at Goodwill, its not right and I shouldnt have to) or the parking lot is half flooded. If they fixed the parking situation, I would probably become a regular : )

My family and I have always had great experiences at this restaurant. Great service, great environment, and great food. The only negative thing I can say is that on a few occasions I ordered their burger. It tasted good...but almost too good and it looked too good...as if it was purchased from some places else frozen and then cooked once it was ordered up. Maybe I am off on this, but I was disappointed when I realized this.

One of the best burgers in town in a wood - paneled room, good waitstaff and speedy chefs, cute signs and tiffany-style lights for decor, clean. Families and cheerful older folks crowd in on busy nights. There are a couple of TVs for the sports fan. Outdoor seating when the weather is warm. Theyll accommodate your special order correctly.

Had been to this restaurant, a few times before last night with mixed results. Most good, some bad. Last night was the last straw!!! Just because you are running a special, doesnt mean you change the portion sizes, without notice from what customers have come to expect. The manager was totally indifferent to our complaints.

This place, sucks. The server took too long placing the order and then the they refused to let me buy food because the grill had closed. What kind of a place wont serve you food? This was NOT LATE at night, we used to go here every Monday to watch football. Wont go back again. None of us will!

Four people in the group. One person ordered a beef entree and received chicken. I ordered steak rare, it came medium. I sent it back and they cooked the second one. It came cooked the same as the first one. I ate the second one after they agreed to take it off my bill. Probably wont go back.

The food was really good but the service left a LOT to be desired. We waited a long time just to get waited on and then every encounter after that took a very long time as well. I had to walk up to the bar just to ask for our check.

Best bang for your buck. Youll leave full from one of the busiest kitchens in Grand Rapids. A great bar, atmosphere, and employees. Will always go back for the specials, and complete menu that I am sure youll find a favorite on.

Such great food and a fun atmosphere. You can tell that many of the customers are very regular there. The portions are hearty and a good value. Weve loved everything we ordered. I cant get enough of their BLT.

well it was saint Patricks day and we waited forever... but they did it up special with a roving band and bagpippers visit. we had fun and the corned beef sandwich was amazing...... see you next year !

Not the place to go if you have a party of four or more, almost all tables seat four and staff in no hurry to slide tables to accommodate.
