Straight up Credit Card FRAUD!!! Dont ever go to this establishment. Not only is the food terrible but our server stole from us!! We showed up on a Tuesday to see an early show at The Filmore. The Foxtown Grille was close to the venue and pretty empty. The sandwich board outside of the restaurant said Tuesday Special Buy One Entree Get One Free up to $17.00. Each table also had cards stating the same. We were shocked on how much this place was charging for simple Italian food and we are foodies so we are very familiar with fine Italian dining.....but with the special, its worth it to us to dine. We waited close to 30 minutes for the meal even though there were just 4 other occupied tables. Our server never offered us even one refill of water. We wanted to order some alcoholic drinks but we never saw him after the order was placed and until we got our food. My husband is told he will get a salad with his meal, but that never shows up. The food taste like canned pasta from Kroger and our dishes taste exactly the same, though they are supposed to be totally different. At least there is a giant bowl of cheese to cover up the taste. Here is when things start to get worse. We get the bill and we did not get the special. When we asked the server about this he turns the special card around on our table and said there is no special. For Real! Turned the special card around, right in front of us. LOL but SUPER SHADY!!!!! At this point we are so turned off and just ready to leave to catch a show we are now late for. We pay the huge bill....leave a 23% cash tip, though the guy deserved nothing and left. I would like to mention that we never complained, we were very polite through all of this. Then we get the biggest kicker!! 5 days later our credit card company called us to tell us that the server wrote in a 45% tip on our credit card bill. This is above and beyond the cash tip we left him. And yes you read that right, wrote in a tip on our credit card slip and altered the amount we paid! Thats is straight up THEFT. I will tell every person I know about this and as we know lots of folks who go to shows and games in that area. This place is the shame of Detroit. Seriously...you will get ripped off.

DO NOT order CARRYOUT!!! I bought a Groupon for this place because, being a Detroit resident, I always support local restaurants (LOVE ITALIAN!) & had eaten there numerous times before. I could`nt use my Groupon (DINE In Only), no biggie, Sadly my $30 Spaghetti con Gamberi w/4 small Shrimp i smelled VERY sour and tainted & the 6 very dry ravioli we received for $22 was NO bargain! After calling and informing the management how of dissatisfied we were, even offering to return the food, management offered one sad dessert.... Save your money for La Dolce Vita, Giovanni`s or even Andiamo`s .

Went here with large group of over 15 people last night. The service and food were outstanding! Most restaurants have a hard time with larger groups, but we were well taken care of. We always had full drinks and the food came at the perfect pace. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. My two favorite things we had were the house salad (had a delicious dressing without being over dressed) and the pizza (we all split pepperoni, fiorentina, and margherita pizzas). It also doesnt hurt that you get a really cool view of Comerica Park outside the windows.

Wow I was impressed! I rate the staff 10/10 If you visit this establishment, ask to be waited on by Nick, he is the kindest most polite waiter ever, he takes care to be sure you have everything you need. I rate the drinks 7/10. They are strong but not at all tastey. I ordered the cinnamon toast and it tasted like black licorice. I rate the food 10/10. The Gnocci is highly recommended. If youre in town, check this place out. Its also very fancy and has fair pricing.

Great location - especially for just before a show at Fox Theatre. Skip the lava cake and go for just the tomato sauce on the pasta with kiddos. Salads are fresh and tasty - not soggy. If you are not a fan of creamy salad dressing - skip the homemade Italian dressing. The ranch dressing definitely passed the kid test!

Right when I walked into this establishment I know my whole family was going to have a terrible expirence. My daughter tried to order an high chair it took the the waiter 25 minutes to give it to her. Then I ordered a big fat teddy bruski. The waiter looked at me like a discovered fire. The whole expirence was terrible.

Very mediocre. You definitely dont get what you pay for here, aside from location. Edit - Originally rated two stars, dropping to one because it certainly isnt anywhere near the 3.7 it currently has.
