Very sweet girl at the front desk. They charged me for pickled turnips when everywhere else gives them for free in the area. (Al Ameer...pineland.. Shish in Livonia.. They give u a "salsa" like dip for free and stone oven bread) anyway. I got a chicken shwarma sandwich and a chicken tawook sandwhich.. Both were almost all pita..very little garlic and a huge chunk of tomato..gross. The meat was small pieces and very dry. I also got a small hummous which was horrible. No flavor at all and very pastey...I felt like I was eating a paste instead of like dip. My bill was almost 14.00!! I was very upset by the food. I will not go back. Its no wonder why they are always slow. Get it together guys or AL Ameer will b running u guys out. The only reason why I went here was because Al Ameer didnt have pickeled turnips. Lol and even the turnips werent great no flavor all vinegar . gross.

The food and the general customer service were amazing. I also like the store. However... Theres currently a bit of an issue with the prices in the store. We were not informed until we were paying the bill, but the prices on the menus we were given are not the actual prices for anything, theyre old menus and are currently in the middle of being replaced. Even with the new prices that she listed off to us, the bill still seemed about $10-$15 too high after adding it all up and accounting for tax. After the woman began to tell me about their problems with the man redoing the menu, I left the name and number of a better lithographer for making menus in hopes that the issue would soon be resolved. I will be spending my money elsewhere until the problem is resolved, but as soon as everything is running a bit more smoothly, I would definitely change my rating and come back!!

Went here with my 3 children, the owner kept trying to sit with us and talk I just wanted to spend some time with my children he wouldnt leave us alone he kept talking to us and had a seat without us offering.. I was very annoyed, Witnessed my appetizer being taken back to the box of appetizers and served again was so grossed out would not recommend this place to anyone, its absolutely ridiculous. Another time before that I went with a coupon to eat for $20 and they made up some scam that I had to buy two large dinners.. the coupon had no fine print. this business is poorly ran and absolutely disgusting.

Last Sunday my Uncle Joe arranged a family reunion at Al Shallal, which was a first time visit for most of us. The anticipated highlight was visiting with family members. However, the food so delicious and prepared the way we remembered it as kids and going to grandmas house. We had 150 people in our group and usually the first tables are served while the rest wait to be served. Not here, the staff was very friendly and attentive to each table and we were all served at the same time. Ive passed this little restaurant many times in my travels but never stopped in. We will definitely return.

Worst service ever, unprofessional and no one knows whose the boss. You talk to one person 2 pop out and start talking. The girls at the front desk start acting smart and sarcastic. Dont EVER EVER EVER have a wedding here they didnt even clean the banquet hall til my wife asked them to. They charged extra when not everyone we invited showed up and there were empty seats. But still charged double the amount we already paid. They are scammers and hustlers.

Greeted with free and amazing soup while you wait for your order, everything is prepared fresh. It almost tastes weird because were so used to eating not so fresh food so often that are bodies adapt to the not so fresh food. This place reminds you that there are still places that care about having great&fresh food daily... *Hat is officially tipped* thanks for the spicy soup Mr.Mike. youre rite, we fought over it :)

The people that worked there are nice and very friendly, however order was wrong, was not organized, one of the employees phone was charging rite next to our table and it kept ringing, which I thought was very rude. It seemed like the menu was not like the actual order. The only good thing about it was the nice people that worked there. Would not go again.

I first visited 17 years ago and its been my goto spot every since. Ive worked in and around Dearborn since 1997 and Ive visited almost every Middle Eastern restaurant around. Mike had always been the same nice and friendly guy. If you dont want to be greeted and conversed with occasionally this is not the place for you.

Absolutely disgusting...never thought I would have to say this but they are beyond unprofessional and unorganized. Worst food and worst service. EXTREMELY unsanitary. The best thing their good at is scamming people honestly, dont bother going to this place. I believe this place should be shut down.

Always sets the bar for middle Eastern cuisine in the area. Hummus, grape leaves, fried kibbe, schwaram platters cannot be beat! Owner is friendly and actively works to ensure customers are always pleased.
