We went here for my birthday this past Sunday since we had heard go things from coworkers. Place was OK but for the 45 minute drive up from St. Joseph County, IN it was not worth it. I thought the beer selection was poor and overpriced. Very little dark beer on tap. Liquor selection was OK but again overpriced. They did not have Oberion on tap so a 12 oz can was five- six bucks. For that price you should at least get a bottle. My wife ordered shrimp and rice. It would have been nice if they told her it came with cooked spinach since she cant stand cooked spinach and let her substitute something else. Next problem was the shrimp made her sick after we got home. Whether it was improperly handled or had MSG on it could be the cause. I had BBQ brisket and pork--pulled. Sauce selection is anemic. Not one mustard sauce available. Really you serve BBQ without mustard sauce available? Both meats were dried out and lacking favor. Definitely no smoke ring on either piece. Prized pig in Niles, now closed, had better BBQ. Fishers just over the Indiana border blows these amateurs out of the water. We wont be back. The only reason I did not give this place higher failing marks was service was OK and we got out of there before my wife puked.

Ive been here about 3 times total and lately Ive seen quite a few people post negative things about their experiences. On the last weekend in August we visited again. The food is as always delicious. The service leaves something to be desired. Our waitress decided to repeatedly hide in the back for 20+ increments which ended up with us feeling like we had to harass the other waite staff/busboys. We had to remind her 3xs to get us waters and 4 out of 6 people in our party had the wrong sides (non of the ordered ones were identical) but everyone at the table got the exact same sides. Meanwhile another couple started yelling at the waitress for not being around/taking their order as they had been waiting 20 minutes. We had to ask the busboy for our tab after waiting 20 min and she finally came out, gave us the tab and then I timed her... Yes another 20 minutes to take our check w/ card. Blah. We wont be back anytime soon solely due to that waitress...

This place fills up fast. Come around 4:30 if you want to be able to get first seating at 5 PM. Also, make sure everyone in your party is here, otherwise you will just watch groups of people go past you and take your spot. If you miss the first sitting, then its at least 45+ min to wait for some slots to open up. Really great oyster happy hour and beer pairing. Try it if you have the patience to wait in line - but as is the case with almost all things hyped up with long lines in nyc, its not a you must do it or else place.

I cant really tell if my wife and I went at a bad time but in general the experience was lack luster. We waited an annoyingly long time at every step in the process, to be seated, to have a our order taken, to get our food and to get the check. The food was okay, my briscut sandwich was good, my wife was not as impressed with her turkey and my order of sides was messed up. It does appear to be a local favorite though so I think it may have just been an off day.

Probably the closest thing to Chicago fine dining you will find in southwest Michigan. The wine and beer menus are imaginative and top drawer, not to mention reasonable in price. They have their own smokehouse, so barbecues and such are amazing, like you might get in Texas. Definitely worth a visit! Open Wednesday - Sunday (dinner only on Weds), last I knew.

Ive been here 5 times and never had a good meal, only great. Their smoked items are done in house for 12 hours. Almost every month there is a special theme for a weekend thats amazing. Great beer choices that rotate frequent. Great staff, fun environment. Have recommended to everyone that I know. I plan a night around the trip there, its well worth it.

Was pleasantly surprised after stumbling upon this place while visiting RedBud MX this weekend. Meals ranged from $10-20 (plenty of options at both ends or the range). Smokehouse plates are a hefty portion. Service was great, quick and polite. Had our food in probably 10 minutes for a group of 4. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend.

I would just like to say - Wheatberry is fantastic. Service and food. - People should know how to speak up to the servers when they ask "how is the food?" If you dont like what youve ordered, speak up, and order something different. Dont wait until youve finished your "dry ribs" and left the bones meat-less until you say they "sucked."

That pig certainly died for a good cause. Ribs werent tough or dry even w/o sauce. Chicken was excellently slow smoked and tender though breast was slightly overcooked. Sauce a bit sweet for a texas guy, but par for the region. Steak was as advertized, Prime. Waitress was also prime. Will likely return even with 1 hr drive.

Awsome draft beer, cider and bourbon selection. They brought out some of the best corn bread Iv had. BBQ was very tasty with a good smoked flavor and super tender and everyone enjoyed their sides (garlic fries, mac, sweet potatoe fries). Freind got the pecan pie and came out warm and delicious with ice cream.

Happened across this place, and glad we stopped. We sampled a number of the "small plates" and were very happy, but we hope to get back and try some of the other dishes. Every plate looked delicious! Dont get me started on the beer menu - I could spend a summer working my way through it.

Great food. Good value. Nice atmosphere. I had the ribs. Others have posted that theyre dry. Theyre smoked all the way through, so they will not be fall-off-the-bone moist. Instead they have a smokey taste. I thought they were great. My wife had a vegetarian dish and loved it.

I love the ribs. They are the real deal...smoked dry, sauced when plated. Its a nice gnaw bone with meat and great sauce. Pulled pork is great, so are hamburgers. I think you get a good amount of food for your money. Been there when its wicked busy...seated and served quickly.

Dont blink or you might pass right by it. If you do miss it, do a u-turn! Great menu with lots of variety. More beer and wine choice than you can count. Very clear food is made fresh every day. Dont wait in line at Tabor, drive 10 minutes and eat some great food.

Yesterday was my first time and last time I will eat there. Horrible service, cold food. Our table of 8 sent back 6 dishes twice. BBQ was not that outstanding as people are saying. Good beer though! Maybe just a bad experience, but it only takes one!

WOW, anybody that doesnt like these ribs knows ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about ribs. these are smoked, not boiled or grilled. They arent supposed to be easy to eat, theyre supposed to taste good, AND THEY DO. Remember, "if it aint pink...it aint BBQ"

One of the nicest places in the area, metro menu and feel but remains casual. Specials change frequently, the blackened tilapia was perfect. Nice bar area if you dont feel like eating, great selection of micros and unique cocktails.
