I heard many things about Barbecue and Bourbon from my friends and what I read from google reviews, this place seemed like an okay place to try. It was my very first time. I placed an order for a carry out. When I went to go pick my order up, the restaurant was busy and full of people. First, there was absolutely no greetings from a host/server(s). Nobody was at the front and taking care people who were coming in to their restaurant. When I was waiting, I saw a couple of waitresses passed by me, said nothing to me. Didn’t ask me anything. I tried to ask a question to this dark hair, short white lady with a glasses and she simply just walked away from me. I watched her she went back to the kitchen, saw her talking to other staff, looking at her phone... Very unprofessional, rude, and upset me. Was it because I’m from a different country? Can’t talk to different skin color people? While I was waiting for someone to come up, there was three to five different large groups of people came in, they waited behind me and saw all of them left the restaurant. This blonde hair lady came up to me and asked me why I was here for finally… So, I told her why there is nobody at the front and asked why I had to waited for 30 mins! Her respond was a word ‘sorry’ and she told me I can pick up my order at the bar. What the F? Seriously? There was absolutely no signs say anything about it or Didn’t tell me when I called. Lets talk about their food. My order was 4 Meat Platter. All different 4 meat were very dried, too much fat not much to eat, and less seasonings on. Onion rings were greasy (Chef couldn’t drained hot oil then put it in a box?). Portion was very small compare to other bbq places in Indianapolis. Price was kinda high for a small portion platter. If you want quick drinks and bar bbq snacks this typical restaurant is okay. I do not recommend this place to anyone. They can’t treat customers right away and equally.

This was our first time trying this place and let me say we will definitely be back!! Our waitress Laura was amazingly attentive and if we had any questions she was fight there with recommendations! We had their dirty lemonades... AMAZING!! Im not one for the taste of strong alcohol but the drink was so refreshing you hardly knew there was whiskey in it. We had their pulled pork nachos and fried pickles for an appitizer. You could just get the nachos and be set!! Our meals were brought out swiftly and still hot!! Their pulled pork was so good it really didnt even need BBQ sauce but tasted great with it too!! Great food, big portions! We will absolutely be back with friends!!

I really wanted to love this place. Love the ambience and the fact that it is a small independently owned restaurant. Unfortunately the food wasnt as good as I had hoped it would be. We ordered ribs, chops and brisket along with sides. The chops and brisket were extremely dry as were some sections of the ribs. Potato salad and fried cabbage were good but I think the mac and cheese was right out of a Stouffers pan. Maybe I just hit them on a bad day or a day when the barbecue wasnt moving fast enough but Ive had far better barbecue elsewhere.

First of all I love that they have Hinchtown hammerdown. The smothered chicken was awesome in my opinion (just a heads up it has some heat though). In general I liked their sauces and I think they had a good variety. I really liked their 7 pepper sauce personally. The brisket was surprisingly quite good. Everything came out super quick and our waitress was super friendly and helpful. Their sausage was less than average though and I wish their sides were better. None of them were that great. Its divey and small but worth checking out.

I was told about this restaurant by one of our Colts players and decided to check it out. I was extremely impressed: Great smoked barbecue, excellent appetizers and side dishes, and the staff was very friendly and efficient. I have now been back three times in the last week, and discovered that the "owners" are constantly working there and looking for ways to continually improve their restaurant! I give this establish of my highest recommendation for great food at a reasonable price!

Great place, but they dont greet you at the door and get you on a list. I JUST WALKED OUT AGAIN. Tonight I walked in and had 2 in front of me. Was alone so I sat on the end of the bar. Turns out some man was doing paperwork on the end of the bar taking up two seats. He indicated that he needed both places. I stood up and left. All I got was appologies from the bartender. Would have waited, but had 8 in front of me by that time...No greeting or waiting list! Adios!!

Really good food and only seconds away from the speedway! Really liked that the rest. was on a small quaint street full of rest. and shops! Perfect for visitors of the Speedway! All of the BBQ meats were really good, had brussel sprouts and the corn bread (side for the 2 meats platter) was amazing! Typical BBQ place where sauces are on the side and you get to choose which on to add. Have to try the smoked sausage-worth every little bite!!!! A MUST!

Not worth the wait. My "rib tips," were all fat and had liquid smoke on them and STRONG gas flavor. We did not eat them. The mac and cheese, I have no clue who making that, you need to stop. Have someone else make that! The potato salad is GFS boxed and green beans, who puts RAW bacon in the green beans?? Can you please pick if you want to be bar or family dinning. We thought it was identity crisis. Overall, waste of money.

The brisket! Pair it up with Mac n Cheese, cornbread and a Dirty Lemonade and youve got the perfect meal. You wont be disappointed! I made my first trip this past weekend and will definitely be back. The bourbon list is pretty good for a smaller establishment. That being said if its a busy night expect a little wait as it only seats a few dozen diners at a time. Its very clean and family friendly with pleasant staff.

Stopped after the vintage races (early June). Really liked this place. Good slaw. Good potato salad. Server (niece of the owner was awesome). Less smoke on the meat than I typically like, but super tender and still had loads of flavor. A couple good sauces to try. They have a great bourbon lemonade concoction at the bar. Cool place. Will be back next time we are at the track.
