The drink prices are cheap at the beginning of the night, then the owner raises the prices every hour until it hits 11pm, then the beer prices are $3.50 a bottle and they do not even tell you. This place is a rip off that gets way over crowded. If you want to have a conversation, forget it, the music is way too loud. You can go down the road to another country bar and hear a band better then their house band for no cover and $2.00 24 oz drafts beers. The comment below about the itemized cost, very true. Dont expect to get a bill saying everything that you ordered. Your bill will only consist of a total, without itemized costs. Another way the owner probably rips everyone off..

Diamondback is a really exciting place for any country music fans as well as people looking for great drink specials. Cant beat dollar bottles on Friday night from 9-11 (my favorite). This is a real country bar where they have a dance pit and people line dance and 2 step. They always have Detroits Derringer playing live music. You can show up early and get free lessons on line dancing/two stepping if you are not familiar. All of the staff is really courteous and wants you to have fun. All sorts of people show up from young to old. No fights ever! Huge outside deck to sit out at as well. If you cant have a good time here....maybe the bars arent for you. Have a fun night!

If you want to people watch this is a great place for it. All types of people come out to the Diamondback Saloon especially on Hick-hop night (30 minutes of country by band Derringer and 30 minutes of a DJ playing top 40 and hits from all time). Great place for a birthday party, be prepared to line dance and potentially have some mild hearing loss as it is loud. Cheap beers and drinks abound and the waitresses are constantly flying around so if you need something you can flag them down. Mandatory coat check is a bit archaic but for a single dollar I think its fine. Make sure you bring cash its usually quicker.

I went to this bar for the first time thinking it would play country music and all it was was ghetto rap music that people were line dancing too. This has to be the worst bar that I have ever been to and Ive been too and I have lived in Ypsilanti for 42 years. Theres a reason why people go to Nashville for good country music bars. I cant even believe I paid three dollars to enter that bar they should pay people three dollars for coming in there

Ive been coming to the Diamondback since I was 21. They are always having drink specials and other events that you can choose from. Wanna play pool with your friends? They have a room for that. Wanna just chill out side? They have a outdoor, open air smoking deck. Sometimes the shot girls are a little slow, its a busy place, get up and find them. I have never left here disappointed or mad. But dont take my word for it come find out yourself.

The service can definitely be a little slow, the servers at the bar pay more attention to the good looking guys than any of the girls trying to order drinks. However, thats my only complaint. The drinks are huge and strong for a great price, the atmosphere is awesome, and its always packed. They play a variety of music throughout the night thats great to dance to. Ive been there countless times throughout the years, and its always a blast!

It was my first time to learn how to line dance. It claimed this was the beginners class. I found it was hard to keep up. Instead of helping me, the instructor,Phyllis told me I was rude. I was so humiliated, I left the dance floor and the bar after the first dance. I should get my money back. I will never go back. Horrible experience!!!!

It I nice bar/club, they have live music and drink prices arent too bad. Music was good, they have pool tables, a big dance floor, and a large outdoors deck for smokers. Though it is loud so its hard to hear people if your trying to talk, but you could go outside to the deck or the pool room if you wanted to talk. Would visit. again

Went there on a Saturday night. Was hoping to listen to country music but when we arrived they were playing your typical club music. Should be playing country music nonstop! Other than that, no complaints. Staff was friendly. Never had to wait to long for drinks to be served.
