DELI DEPARTMENT!!!12-13-2015 Patrick was working in the deli there was so many people waiting to get meats or etc. he was goofing off the whole time like a little kid.. the meat he slice some of the meat he was dropping it all over everywhere the lady that he served was not paying attention, she was talking to someone and he children. But the whole time he was laughing joking around with the one tall co-worker that been working there for awhile. Just talking all over the meat. leaning like hugging the meat cutter i am sure putting germs on the cutters. then he kept going in the back somewhere then come back out with nothing in his hands, just the same gloves who know what he had touch back there come out using the same glove. omg he finally finish that lady order.He was so unprofessional.. The Big guy that always work there and the one lady that came to help did there job. But that PATRICK. I dont know what his problem was but he act like he was inebriated or had something because the hold 15 min i waited to be helped he was non stop laughing leaning over the meat cutter, taking his sweet time, joking with the tall guy, stop doing what he suppose to do and just talk. Not caring that there are 10 people waiting to be help..

I’ve been coming here for a couple decades, seen the store renovated, the restaurants and coffee shops swapped out, and a whole bunch more. The service has always been good for the most part. I use the “12 items or less” self-checkout quite frequently, and most assistants are friendly and quick to help when I need it. They have a wine and liquor expert near the back of the store that really knows his stuff and can help you select the perfect item for a special occasion. Unfortunately, I haven’t been especially pleased with their produce lately. Every so often, they’ll advertise “sales” with what appears to be good prices for fruit and veggies, but then you go shopping and find racks of mushy strawberries or raspberries with mold. I’ve also grown tired of seeing such poor quality of the various Earthbound Farm organic greens products. It seems nearly every other time, you’re stuck with slimy, soon-to-spoil arugula, kale, and spring mixes. It’s frustrating when you discover you have to throw out half the box just 2 days after purchasing the item. Regardless, Ill bump them to 3 stars, since the service has been pretty good.

The womens bathroom dear Jesus talk about DISGUSTING!!!!! Ive unfortunately been shopping here for 7 years Im currently pregnant and well bathroom use is quite frequent I try so hard not to use there bathroom the smell is god awful its beyond filthy I swear I dont think they have ever cleaned it Ive never in life seen a public bathroom that disgusting or smell that bad EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!!!! There produce is quite lacking Ive bought produce that appeared ok when cut open at home moldy or just nasty most popular things are always out of stock and the deli department good luck with that I cant even recall how many times Ive been completely ignored as if I didnt exist I dont even bother anymore its such a shame how this store is run if thats even what you want to call it I think I might start driving to Rochester for a better experience shopping

If you are African American or some other minority prepared to be watched closely as if you are a hungry toddler wondering around a candy store. I despise stealing, its actually quite bummy so imagine how disgusted I felt when A certain employee (didnt catch her name, but shes so wide you cant miss her) asked me if I scanned my water, and then had to nerves to check behind me like I was lying. Not to mention she changed the price of my tomatoes, because of course that extra $3 would get took out her pay if I didnt pay it to meijer. I dont think she was watching other customer so closely. This is Metro Detroit, I dont care if its Auburn Hills Bloomfield or Birmingham, some people need to get use to seeing Blacks. I hate prejudice bigots. Maybe I should go to Target next time.

Bought a spot bot cleaner. 89.99. Go home, its defective. Go back to return it (wasting of time!!) they try to blame me for SELLING me a defective unit. I go to return it, they try to blame it on me for being defective. Either way, I get the money back and have to go buy the more expensive one. Giving them another chance to keep me as a loyal customer, I go to check out and explain the issue, I politely ask if there is anything that can be done to lower the price. She lowers it 2.00. Its still 135.00. I had to use the $20.00 coupon I got from the defective unit to lower the price on this one, even though I wanted to use it for groceries later that week. I am hoping Meijer does something about this incident to get me to come back as a Loyal Customer.

If I could give a negative rating, I undoubtly would. This location is the worst at checkout!! The selection is fine, but the lack of attendants at checkout and customer service is awful! Promotions are not in their system so you have to check on your receipt. Ive had to go to customer service TWICE in the last month requesting that they honor their advertised promotion. Also, they NEVER staff enough cashiers. This evening there was ONE lane open with an attendant. I waited over 25 minutes to check out!!!!! I have several pictures illustrating the MANY occasions that this has happened here. The day/time is irrelevant. My typical wait is 20-30 minutes...longer than it takes me to shop!!!!!!!!

Love Love Love shopping at this Meijer - People are friendly and helpful. Always a good selection of food and products. The only downside like some of the reviews are - the front restroom needs to be fixed - gross and disgusting. I ONLY USE THE BACK RESTROOM! Just because the restroom is gross, that doesnt mean this Meijer deserves a 1 star . I had some issues in the past - with cashiers - (too slow, never shuts up talking, doesnt use the belt so it takes FOREVER to check out if youre stuck in that lane) So now when I see those cashiers I go to other lanes. Happy that Self Checkout is ALWAYS OPEN on both ends of store

For years we did our shopping at Meijer, but we have had to seek out a different store to do our grocery shopping. This location (great lakes) Auburn Hills, is by far the worst for checking out. 2 checkout lines run by people, and 4 checkouts that are automated. What a joke. Long lines after shopping for over an hour, then if you have anything that will melt - forget about it. Thanks but no thanks Meijer. Hire more people!

Decent prices, can be annoying at peak hours, not enough cashiers sometimes to handle the influx. Other than that always have had friendly service and love the new curbside pick up option, very convenient and they always have the order ready and accurate. The easiest shopping experience i have ever had. They have a Huntington bank and a Bellacinos grinder restaurant inside as well.
