The short of it: The coffee here is delicious! The sandwiches are scrumptious and the staff is downright charming. If you like coffee and are looking for a light meal you should absolutely stop by! The details: The staff is super friendly, the ambiance is relaxing with a touch of rustic/eclectic which plays together nicely with the atmosphere of good high quality food and drinks. I decided to try out the Cafe Au Lait and my fiance had the caramel macchiatto, while we split one of their sandwiches. The prices are a little above average here but when you consider the quality and tastiness of the food I think its a completely justifiable value. They also do an unplugged breakfast on the weekends, where they shut off their WiFi. If you are looking for a somewhat off the beaten path date approach this could be a great excuses to shut down the electronics and interact with your date! People who need to try this: Coffee lovers Unique/Creative Food Lovers People looking for a low key, high class food stop People who may not like this: Budget friendly cheap-eats lovers People in a rush/looking for something on the go

The Songbird Cafe is a nice little cafe. During the work week they are busy between 11 am and 1 pm. You can call in your order for pick up but then you have to wait in line, so its probably just as fast to go there and order. The cafe itself has a good ambiance. I love their food. They have a lunch special of a cup of soup and a half sandwich. Their sandwich portions are huge! Even the half of a sandwich is big. I like their tomato soup and lobster bisque. I recommend all of their sandwiches too. The only thing that i would suggest is that the staff become more knowledgeable about the ingredients in the food, especially the desserts. The staff knows which menu items are gluten free, however, it would be helpful if the staff knew which menu items contained table sugar and which items contained alternative sweeteners.

I recently went to The Songbird Cafe for the first time because a friend was in from out of town and wanted some coffee, we saw their menu online and it was amazing! Both the Cardamom Rose Latte and the Lavender Chai were so delicious. On top of the great menu, the staff was incredibly warm and friendly. Marissa took our orders and was so sweet and charming. Sophia and Natalie were equally wonderful. We had such a great time at our first visit to this cafe, would highly recommend for others, and will certainly be back!

Ive been going to Songbird for a while and its awesome. The atmosphere is just right for getting some work done, relaxing and catching up with friends, or spending a lazy afternoon reading an reflecting. The food is a little pricey and on the smaller side for portion sizing, but the taste is above average. I look at it as paying a dollar or two extra for the atmosphere. The fusion dishes are delicious, but not quite mindblowing. Try the fig and black pepper latte; it tastes a lot better and smoother than it sounds.

The most DISGUSTING food ever. If I could give it a 1 star, I would have. I odered the mushroom spinach feta omelet, which was super dry and tasted horrible. I grabbed the tres leche cake, most dry tres leche cake ever and stale and overly priced. My son got the turkey and cheese panini, disgusting after taste of the turkey. Coffee was ok if you like it grainy. $32 out the door. Most expensive brunch I have ever had and most disappointing!! Will NOT be returning again!

Excellent quick breakfast spot (muffins, coffee cakes, etc.) with an excellent full breakfast menu. Rustic setting, quick service and medium noise level. Cheaper than Starbucks, and the quality is more than worth the extra dollar for the breakfast items. The stars are the lattes and teas. Floral and fruit infused lattes with interesting combinations that just work - and the best chai latte Ive ever had.

Always a favorite! The food is dependably great & the service is equally friendly. They have tasty treats & some fun spins on old favorites. My two favs are the grilled cheese & the pistachio turkey. + The tarow vanilla bean steamer is wonderful, who doesnt love a purple drink! This place is no secret, it can be a popular lunch spot so sometimes it can take a bit to get your food when theyre busy.

Awesome place, great atmosphere. I decided to finally try this place after years of walking past it. I found the Asian inspired pork and avocado wrap to be pretty good. I will definitely return to this place when I get out of work early, or on my way to work. The chips that came with it were typical pub chips. They also have pickles? Ill have to get those next time!

Had a sandwich and it was very good. A little expensive for its size but tasty. Another morning i had an omlet and it was so overdone i almost couldnt eat it and it was tastless. Not saying i wont come back but not for an omlet. My wife had a different omlet and it too was not very good. Sorry but thats the truth. I gave one extra star for friendliness.

Food wise, its better for brunch than lunch, in my opinion. Good coffee, excellent teas, and some other interesting selections on the drink menu, all of which are worth a try. Its a great spot to study or people watch as well. Not the best if youre in a hurry, as they can take their time sometimes, but the staff is helpful and friendly.

My favorite café in Ann Arbor. This morning I ordered a coffee and sat down in a comfy chair. I connected to the internet without any "sign in" nonsense, and was able to download an 8MB app in a few seconds. Five minutes later the guy from the register brought my coffee to me, along with a small pot of creamer. Awesome service.

A hipster-styled coffee shop nestled in a shopping center. Reasonably tasty and well priced food. My main complaint is that its tough to study here for long periods because their music is an unpaid Spotify account which routinely interrupts an otherwise excellent atmosphere with a jolt of annoying Spotify ads...

Songbird is an amazing cafe for both food and drink. With unique drinks like tangerine lavender hot cocoa and rosemary sea salt latte, it feels different from any other cafe. Its a great place to work, catch up with friends, or pretty much any get together. Theres usually always room and not a very long line!

Fantastic flavors and quality. Very creative menu: Fig Vanilla Black Pepper Latte, Kogi Hoagi, Pistachio Turkey Sandwich, Truffle Egg Salad. Nice ambiance in a somewhat unassuming location. If youre in northern Ann Arbor, you have to stop in and taste whatever piques your curiosity.

They have delicious, fresh, healthy food and really nice people who work there. My only gripe is that sometimes the line can be really, really long (like, out the door) and can take forever. but I guess thats just part of what happens w/a popular place.
