Not HORRIBLE but would take my chances somewhere else next time. I asked two people behind the counter what was their specialty. They asked if I liked spicy. I was hungry, love spicy foods, and was anticipating a really good suggestion. . .they both suggested General Tsos chicken. . .thats not what I had in mind. I said, how about something not so typical? My dining companion asked them what they eat? General Tsos. We browsed the uninspired menu while watching a dozen folks come and go picking up their take out orders. The place has a brisk business for a Monday night but I noticed none of them were non-white. I opted for the Double Phoenix- spicy fried shrimp and General Tsos chicken. I was hoping this chicken was going to knock my socks off. My companion order the subgum lo mein and the General Tsos chicken. We were hungry and wanted to try the best this place had to order. Yuck! Overly sweet sauce might have come out of a can! Ive had much better at the mall food court. The lo mein was basically spaghetti. AVOID this place. It took at least twice as long to get our food as any busy restaurant. I guess opening a can and pulling chicken nuggets out of the freezer takes time. On the positive side, the staff was friendly.

While waiting for our food, I found it peculiar that one of the cooks came up front looked right at me then went back laughing so I decided watch my food from a distance. I watched an employee/chef go in the back and do something to my soup (while another man did a hand jerking off motion and laughed with the other men in the back)! Thankfully the sweet female cashier politely refunded the curry chicken soup upon request. I have no idea why I became a target for their inappropriate disgusting behavior. So sad for the owners... AVOID EATING HERE or at the very least WATCH YOUR FOOD! BTW- while I was there someone left their iphone 6+ on a table. So hopefully they are honest enough to return it to the proper owner if they show up. Somehow after my experience I doubt that unless the sweet woman makes sure of it.

Nothing mind blowing, but affordable, reliable, good American Chinese food with a surprising amount of actual vegetables in the vegetable dishes. Ill usually get a guilty pleasure American dish and either the tofu vegetable soup or steamed mixed vegetables, and for under $11 with the lunch special thatll last me 2-3 meals. Generally very quick and prompt as well. I lived nearby for several years, stop by when I can still, and am hard pressed to think of any issues other than the occasional longer wait for delivery. Didnt really think I needed to review, but theyre decent folks, and the multiple one-star-one-review accounts are definitely not accurate.

I was driving home from work today, and one of their delivery drivers ran a stop sign and almost hit me. When I called the restaurant to report this, they would not allow me to speak with the supervisor on duty, and would not listen to my complaint. I will never order food from this place knowing that their delivery drivers do not obey traffic laws, and endanger the public. Their driver was careless and was not paying attention. This happened in an apartment complex where young kids are known to wander. If he did not pay attention to the stop sign, what is to stop him from hitting a playing child.

We dont care about our Chinese food being "authentic" (sorry, Chia Shiang: never again). We like China Gate but wanted to try our hand at finding something that didnt require downtown parking. Order take out and it was basically everything we would hope it to be. Quick delivery. If hotpot allowed me to give a 4.5 star rating I would, but I like to reserve 5 stars for the best of the best. The rice was good but not great, but Im kinda particular about that kind of thing. Next time Ill order the medium rather than the large--way too much food.

Very good food and all but i once ordered for me and my friend (chicken lo mein, egg rolls pork fried rice and beef broccoli chicken) And forgot my friend was Muslim, So I called them to ask if the egg roll had any pork. I wasnt even finished when she cut me off and said "WE TOLD YOU THREE TIMES WHAT IT HAD." and I replied "YOU DIDNT HAVE TO BE RUDE ABOUT IT." So therefore I think they should do two things: 1. Not interrupt customers. 2. Have a better attitude or I guarantee I will not be the only customer they loose. :)

My husband and I bought the chicken w/ cashews dish. When we got home my husbands dish had pieces of those metalli sponges to clean pots. My dish was fine. However, when I got up this morning I had diarrhea as well as my husband and we are sure that was because of food. As soon as you get in the place you can see is very dirty. No wonder. Chinese people live among pigs and chicken. I will never return to this place again. If you ever go to this place ask to see the kitchen and make an opinion for yourself.

This place is so bad there driver couldnt speak English I waited over an hr then proceeded to ask me to walk all the way from my hotel to the side of the road Cuz he couldnt find me then after yelling for 20 min he says Im sry we can deliver it later and it was past 11 but nothing else is open but I lost my appetite by then and said forget it...my friend said she found a bug her meal recently to so Im not sure whats going on with this place they used to be great

Came here because I had a taste for wonton The lunch special includes soup so I ordered that The soup portion was SO small that I think even if it had really been soup I would have left completely disatisfied As it was I think calling it a completely flavorless, watery imitation of a TINY bowl of soup is overly generous In all, portions were stingy, staff was only just barely passably polite, and everything was overpriced

Need an excuse to miss those boring meetings? How about those good ole family reunions dream escape? Well King Shing here has the perfect answer for you. Come here for your lunch and/or dinner and guarantee food poisoning the next day! I was stressed out the day before my interview, but thanks to King Shing I was too busy puking my guts out upon the next day to even care. 5/5 will definitely use the service here again.

WARNING! Avoid potential food poisoning! I placed a large order then actually saw the lady who took orders/handled money/answered phone (very rude) go into kitchen and handle food with her bare, unwashed hands (she put wontons for soup in carryout containers) - no utensil!!!! She refused to remake food/refund money after I complained. Will NEVER go to this place again.

Weve bounced from restaurant to restaurant trying to find consistently good American-style Chinese food in the Ypsilanti area. So many places will be great one day and terrible the next, or have good egg rolls but bad chicken dishes (e.g. General Tsos). This is the first weve found that seems to be good across the board and fairly consistent from day to day. Good stuff!
