Possibly the best ice cream I have ever eaten. It might even be better than Herrells, which has been my gold standard until now. Just amazing. The fact that it is located in an incredibly remote and picturesque setting adds to its appeal, believe it or not; its a destination trip. My only complaint is that the portion sizes are so huge that you kind of have to stick with one scoop, so only one flavor can be experienced per trip. The service is incredibly friendly and the lines (there are always lines) move quickly.

Rotas is one of my favorite spots. Nice people, nice prices, happy farm animals, and a pretty setting. They make their own amazing rich ice cream, try the Indian pudding, or the Coconut Almond Bar if you cant decide. Many people miss the wonderful farm store complete with their own happy cow beef, their own farm grown veggies, home made meals, salsa etc. not to mention the decadent baked goods, jellies and more. I strongly believe we should buy local, and support local farms- thank goodness that our local is awesome!

What flavor is best at Rota Spring? Listen, if youre not a kid, the answer is: just plain vanilla. It really lets you test the genuine excellence of the ice cream without all those other flavors to get in the way. Well, if you MUST have another flavor, Maine blueberry is terrific, sos peach. I do have one beef with Rota Spring. I live about three minutes away from it! I have to make a schedule to go only once every three weeks. Otherwise, they will be able to build an additional pen and feature me as a bison.

Ive been eating Rotas ice cream for as long as I can remember and it never disappoints. They have a long list of both creative and original ice creams, and are always coming up with new flavors. Worth every penny and the scoops are huge. I love sitting in the back to watch the cows and goats while eating my ice cream. Dont be discouraged if the line looks long, these hard workers move fast and have an amazing memory of long orders! Tip these guys, they deserve it!

Wow! This place has the best ice cream Ive ever had in my life! Its all handmade and delicious. The people that work there are also very friendly. The gift shop of sorts had farm fresh stuff as well as some cool little Knick knacks. I get the chocolate ice cream with peanut butter and sprinkles. So good! The views are really nice as well. Its near a farm so you can see farm animals walking around the country side. Great place to go!

I love their ice cream .....so rich and creamy....and the variety of flavors are awesome. LOVE THE INDIAN PUDDING.....LEMON DREAM (I think that it is a lemon ice cream with golden vanilla Oreo cookies?) .....PEACH....GINGER....RASPBERRY....ITS ALL GOOD! I also like that there are picnic tables on site where you can sit down and enjoy the pristine scenery and cows grazing in the meadows nearby. You know the milk and cream are fresh!

I love the variety of homemade ice cream that its available in this place, I love that you can see and interact with the animals on the farm and that they sell other homemade products. However the reason why I am giving it four stars is because they do not have bathrooms available for the customers. Thats a big problem specially when you have children with you.

There are bunch of animals around the ice cream store that you and your children may touch and feed them, usually green and vegetable. If you have little children, be sure to bring some carrots. The goats at the back of the store love carrots and your kids will have a lot of fun feeding them. And know that they only take cash and checks, no credit cards.

My favorite farm stand ice cream place in the area. I love feeding the goats and seeing the cows. A nice farm store attached with their raised beef. It is directly next to the farm so you may experience "farm smells". To some (like me) that adds to the charm, I know others that have been put off by it so take that into account.

The value here is amazing - they always give big, generous servings at killer prices. Coconut almond bar is one of my favorite flavors: its like an almond joy in ice cream form, but better. Even though another great ice cream place has popped up nearby, I will remain loyal to Rota. Just such good, homemade ice cream!

Took me 6+ years to make it to this magical place from where most of my "friends" have taunted me on Instagram. They have good ice cream and very friendly cows. The youngins loved the grass that I fed them. Only downside is they have no bathroom. They do have a hand sanitizer dispenser tree, tho. So thats nice...

Although it was crazy busy when my family and I arrived, the line moved quickly, the Staff was friendly (even though Im sure we were their 600th order for ice cream that hour) and the ice cream was so good. So. Good. If you let the season go by without stopping here youve done a disservice to your summer.

The ice cream here is amazing and the portions are HUGE (2 scoops is probably too much). Great setting in quiet area where you can enjoy your food while watching the cows roam the farm. Goats and sheep too! Be prepared to wait though, this place gets busy!

Their flavors are good, but the hand packed quarts and pints can be unevenly filled. Today the pint was short at least a third of the ice cream and the quart which hasnt been opened yet is not packed full either.

Rota ice cream is what dreams are made from. Their vanilla ice cream has become my benchmark for what makes good ice cream. I enjoy their blueberry ice cream and their coffee based flavors as well.

Great ice cream here, but the real gem for me is the little store next to the ice cream windows. Veggies, meat and goodies from the farm are sold here. The cornmeal crackers are the BEST!

Hands down the best ice cream in the area. I live close to Kimballs and this place puts it to shame. The goats, cows and setting along with the farm store make for a great stop.

Best ice-cream in MA, without question. Huge servings, homemade, and on-site cows for a great experience. Summer nights are packed, and parking might be tough. Cash only.

They do have Gluten free Ice Cream, in fact most ice cream is gluten free, just stay away from the cookie dough. Best place for Ice Cream on this side of the Mississippi.
