I visited the bean and leaf Cafe with my family today 07-20-09 hoping for the best! Was I DISSAPPOINTED! and ANNOYED. After ordering my drink I kindly asked the girl to wiped down the milk encrusted filthy steam wand please, before making my drink. She said sure but that "they were cleaned once a day" (yuck) ! Then she ignored my reasonable request and made my drink with a VERY DIRTY MILK WAND gave it to me scalding hot so much that my wife burned her tongue and roof of her mouth. Apparently she has not been trained in cleanliness and how toxic milk can be after 20 minutes it begins to grow bacteria. So how clean can the rest of the stores food service equipment be if the things they leave exposed to the public are this bad? I know these things from owning my own cafe for 8 years and being trained by the state certification board. I will not be returning, and plan to warn others. It is too bad that an untrained employee can kill your business. You have been warned!

The actual coffee shop is nice. However, the staff is very unprofessional and inexperienced. When the credit card reader shut off because they forgot to charge it, they left 15 people in line waiting to give their orders. I was first in line, so I waited around 20 minutes to get my coffee. The staff gave up and took down my credit card info on a piece of paper to be charged later. Plus, they ran out of almost all of their speciality coffee because they forgot to make it. Bad experience at Bean & Leaf. Wont be coming back.

Thanks Ladies at Bean & Leaf Cafe for making my time enjoyable! I love this little spot in Rockport...I love Rockport overall but this is one of my favorite spots. The clam chowder is wonderfully creamy and my sandwich (...got a wrap) was scrumptious!

Great view of the ocean from the seating area. Nice selection, good coffee & I think its open most of the year if not all. In March, it was the only place other than Dunkin Donuts to get coffee early in the a.m. - & great music. Sirius Coffeehouse.

Great little coffee shop. Their espresso is top notch, and their curried chicken wrap is perfect for a light lunch. Plus, the view out the back window is the best of all the shops along Bearskin Neck, in my opinion.

Nice view, pricey coffee drinks, which could have been better. Lavazza espresso (single shots, as opposed to double ristretto). Unfortunately the iced drinks seemed to be watered down.

What a great home-feeling cafe! I just went for a cup of coffee and to watch the harbor while reading. The views were wonderful and the staff kind.
