This place used to be great before the owner died a few years back. We used to go every Sunday for lunch even if there was a wait. We never wait anymore. They got rid of a lot of my favorite dishes and the prices went up. I ate there today and was disappointed. I got a terrible waitress. If you cant remember anything, WRITE IT DOWN! I had to ask twice for a straw, twice for a different dip for my appetizer. While waiting for the correct dip, my appetizer got cold. Got the huge turkey dinner. The turkey was fresh and delicious. The mashed potatoes and squash were ice cold. I asked for butter TWICE, which she NEVER brought. At the end she remembered, but the veggies were so cold, the butter was of no use. I ate some turkey and stuffing, which was good. I had a lot of leftovers. I got the check and needed change. I waited 15 minutes. I never saw the waitress again. It was the first time in years I can remember leaving less than a 20°/. tip. I didnt want to leave that much since the service was so bad. She made it easier for me to leave less. She never came back. Im glad I didnt need to charge my meal. I had enough to leave a small tip since I couldnt find her to get change for (two twenties)$40 for my $22 meal. I left slowly in case she came back to tell her I got tired of waiting. I never saw her. Maybe she went outside for a cigarette. Who knows. Not sure Ill go back. Some dishes (seafood) are very good. They need to fix the cold sides. This has been going on for a while. I dont want a straw, butter, dip, when Im done eating. Get it together if youre relying on tips! Post script: Went again the other day ( ok, I was hungry). Had the same waitress, who was a little better. Baked haddock was good, squash was put on warm plate so it was at least warm. Onion strings barely cooked, sent back, still barely cooked. Tasted fine, but ask for them well done. I usually do, but it was late and I was tired. Waitress was better, but not good at juggling more than one table at a time.

Shirley and I have been going to the GV for about 35 years, although not on a regular basis. After an absence of a couple of years because of quality, and choice decline we decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise!! We tried Stephanies Chicken Pot Pie and the Roast Turkey Dinner. The pot pie was served as a pastry pie with the sauce, chicken and vegetables inside the crusts. (Not like so many places a chicken stew in a plate and a pastry puff on top). The pie and accompanying apple tart was unbelievably delicious. Portion was enough for two full meals. Price about $14. Shirleys Turkey was real turkey (not slabs from a deli loaf). It was the most moist, tender, delicious , generously portioned turkey breast we have ever had (except at Thanksgiving dinner at home). Enough for three meals. price about $13. Will definitely go back to see what else they add to the menu. Only less than super rating is that the décor is in process of being updated.

WHAT HAPPENED?!?! Wow, this place has gone downhill! In the past i used to stop in once a month or so for a cocktail and appetizer or meal. That is IF i could find a seat at the bar!!! It was always standing room only, so busy, such GREAT food, etc! Stopped in yesterday at 5pm, the place was nearly empty. Sat down, ordered my drink, got menu.....and noticed more than HALF the menu is now gone!! All the great food and apps they used to serve are now gone. So sad. I did get an appetizer regardless and it was barely average in my opinion.....ate half, drank my drink and left. There were 4 people at bar when i left at 530pm. That is really saying something compared to how it used to be. Dont know what happened here. New owners? New management? ...whatever it is, its not working. Such a shame. This place was my FAVORITE for seafood appetizers and great food. Not returning.

I remember my first time at the Glenview. It was a few years back when we were trying to get home, we got lost. We were hungry, and drove by the Glenview. We stopped in it and after that we realized we were close to home, but we stayed there anyways. We never have to wait, unless its a Friday night at 5:00pm. The place is a medium sized place, and it is really nice looking. Service is always nice, and she/he will always make sure you are satisfied! The prices are pretty good for what you are getting! You get a big, DELICIOUS meal. Food is always hot, and it takes about 15-20 minutes to arrive. Place is always busy. The menu has a large selection, so anything you want, they are 70% to have it! This day changed what resteraunts we ate at, because this was 8 years ago, and we still eat at the Glenview at least 20 times a year. Go to the Glenview, youll be glad you made the move!

I am so discouraged. Weve been coming to the GlenView Restaurant in Chelmsford for years and it was always great.. Unfortunately things have changed dramtically and not for the better. Quality of food has gone downhill.. Steaks used to be the best, now not so much -- grisly and tougher cuts. What Im sadly SHOCKED with is, when we looked at our bill, I thought I caught a mistake: a glass of wine for $13.50 -- when I inquired I was told these are the new prices for a "9 ounce glass". The waitress shouldve told us before we ordered this, but no problem -- we just wont go back. Princeton Lounge is looking better and better. Im really sad about this because Glenview was our favorite.. But theyll never survice charging New York city rates for their product.....

I recently went to Glenview P&G for a pre-painting class dinner. I was initially concerned because I had seen so many negative reviews, but since I didnt have many options to be close by the painting event, I took my chances. I had a completely opposite experience - I was pleasantly surprised!!! The bar staff was super helpful, attentive, and kept us on time. The food was an even better surprise. I had the BBQ Chicken sandwich, which was totally delicious, and their sweet potato fries - no complaints here!!

Went in around 5:30pm today and left at 7:24pm. I couldnt believe they didnt tell us there was a long wait for the food. Nachos and fried clams came over an hour after we ordered and I paid $12 for 6 small pieces of fried clam. The manager, an older lady, didnt even come to let apologize to us for the wait even though she did so to the couples around us. Food was mediocre at best. Im kind of upset for the time and money I wasted there.

I just had a lobster roll from the Glenview Pub and it was amazing. When you go out and you see a lobster roll on the menu you tend to think of a hotdog bun and lots of lettuce. With the Glenview Lobster roll this is not the case at all. Mine was huge and so was my friends so it wasnt a mistake. :-) I would suggest this place to anyone that is looking for quality food and great portions.
