On 11-24-2013, my family and I enjoyed a memorable evening at The Lotus Blossom Chinese Restaurant in Sudbury, Massachusetts. The moment we entered the restaurant, we experienced a warm hospitable environment with smiling faces and sincere conversation from staff. We were escorted to our table by Toby Seto, one of the proprietors. Then we were greeted by Shawn, asking us for our drink order and introducing us to our waiter, Jen. Jen was very observant and attentive. Never had to ask for a drink refill. Surprisingly, I looked to my drink and discovered it had been refreshed without my noticing. Jen was always ready to explain or answer questions or assist in selecting from the menu. Far and away one of the very few waiters I have experienced absolute quality and complete excellence in performing his job description and responsibly. Toby, the proprietor I mentioned earlier came by several times. He simply spoke to us, giving us the opportunity to provide feedback. What a clever way of demonstrating his concern for his guests satisfaction. In speaking with Toby, I asked about the Chef. The head chefs name is Wesley Chen. Toby mentioned he is a young man who has had the privilege of appearing on "Celebrity Chef"! That statement alone testifies to what my family experienced in quality, presentation, texture and flavor. Amazing! Toby is just one of the two proprietors at the restaurant last night. The other is Maurice. My take on the positioning and attention we got from Maurice is he and Toby make their rounds, having friendly conversation with their guest. Maurice is very courteous and genuine. When you visit, ask for Toby or Maurice and compliment them on their achievement. Congratulations from the Leasure Family to the staff in the kitchen and the attendants and servers in the dining room for your roll in creating such an elegant, flawless dinning experience.

So it depends on what you are looking for, and, if like most people in suburbia you are looking for white-washed Chinese food that essentially has a flavor profile limited to "fat" and "salt", this is for you. I dont blame the restaurant, thats the extent of what most people want in a small town like Sudbury. But its not proper Chinese food. For example my girlfriend and I ordered two separate chicken dishes, one Sichuan and one I think was garlic, and when we tasted each others food we realized they had served us the same exact thing just given two different names. There was no spice, herbs or garlic, just heart disease inducing levels of salt and oil. The atmosphere is nice, I will give them that, but from a food perspective what youre getting is essentially and overpriced fast food experience, I honestly have gotten more variety in taste at Panda Express than Ive ever had here. Go to the Japanese restaurants in the area instead, they are all of respectable quality and can make surprisingly good dinner plates for the suburbs.

Service was quite good, decor very clean. Did not try sushi, however the dinners were not high quality. Chicken tenders were really dried out, beef dish had a lot of hard gristle. We all felt queezy afterward, felt like heavy MSG. One child had to spend 30 mins in restroom at shoppers world mall, not good if you know what I mean. If i ever went back (low odds) I would only try sushi based on the many positive reviews, the meat & sauces dishes here dont hold a candle to places like Cheng Due in Northborough, or The Thai Place in Shrewsbury. Having kids get sick on a holiday weekend was not what we expected from a place with so many positive reviews.

I stopped in here after passing for many months to and from work. I finally took a Sunday and went for the sushi buffet. It was fantastic. The selection was great and very delicious and fresh. The hot buffet was equally delicious. Choice of several stuffed dumplings, seasame chicken, noodles, white rice and some daily options. The decor is modern, with classic tables with cloth. I will definitelybe stopping by again. FYI.. buffet is $17.50

My grandparents told me that Lotus Blossom has awesome chinese food, but it wasnt what I expected. The pork fried rice was burnt, and the rice was hard. I had pork fried rice from other restaurants before, but this one from Lotus Blossom was bad. General Gaos chickens meat was tough and dry. Hunan Crispy Shrimp was superb, every one should order that shrimp dish.

They did not honor our Christmas Eve reservation claiming they never got it. And I overhead others outside say the same thing. After being a loyal customer since they opened and having Christmas Eve dinner there for 18 years we expected some loyalty. We were treated shabbily and will never go back. Horrible customer service. Toby is useless.

I loved it! Beef was flavorful. Pork sparerib was tasty but not too fatty. General gaus was not at all spicy, but just the right amount of crispy. Ive tried about 5 different Chinese restaurants in the area, and this was by far my favorite. I didnt try the sushi, but my part said it was excellent.

We got seated at a table in the mostly empty restaurant and then ignored for 15 minutes while multiple waitstaff milled around, asked for someone to please come take our order and were still ignored. No idea why. No apology given. We left hungry and frustrated. Wont be back.

Excellent food, good service, grumpy management but who cares? Fortunately, only the staff must suffer them I go for the lunch buffet often. Much better than the usual lunch buffet and you dont need to deal with the grouchy people at all.

The food at Lotus Blossom is absolutely wonderful. I never order in from anywhere else. Their general gaus chicken is the best there is. The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere is so relaxing. Best chinese food in the area.

Excellent ambience and location, good prices, delicious food, great service. My kids didnt love their chicken n rice - otherwise, I wouldve given this 5 stars. Nonetheless, well be back.

I love this place. The dry cooked string beans and eggplant dishes are great. They have alot of the standards general gao and noodle dishes but they have alot of other dishes as well.

This place serves some of the best Chinese food I have had in a very long time. When we went it was quiet, the service was fast, and the quality was excellent.

For the price of $13 for the buffet, it is impossible to go wrong. Always a good variety of food options as well.
