Kid friendly, fast service, plentiful food, and reasonable price. Look, were going at 5:00 pm, so the place isnt super busy at that hour. That said, when we walk in with a toddler, the serve staff doesnt even blink. They get us a high chair, move tables around, do whatever is needed. Ive gone for lunch with 3 other families w/kids and its the same. I wouldnt begrudge these folks a sigh or a groan when they see us coming, but just smiles. That goes a long way for making me feel relaxed at a meal. The food is well-presented and I find it fresh and tasty. Turns out my 2 year old loves crab, so I couldnt tell you what the Spider Maki tastes like since she ate it all. It looked delicious.

Yoki is famous for its "Boston sports-themed" sushi rolls! SUSHI MENU: They offer some classic sashimi , royal hand rolls (IE. "Tthe Bruins Maki": "a spicy cooked salmon, cucumber, and cream cheese roll topped with salmon, tempura flakes, spicy white tuna, tobiko, scallions, sweet sauce, and spicy mayo"), and a smattering of everything else, including an entire page of cooked sushi. Yoki also serves up more traditional Japanese food, such as edamame, gyoza, and deep-fried oysters appetizers and entrees of teriyaki, hibachi steak, and boiled eel. SECRET: I LOVE their green tea fried icecream!

Yoki is a fantastic sushi place. You can eat at the bar or in house, either way its always a fun experience. they have plenty of choices even for non-sushi eaters in your group. We loved going there and can eat for under $50.00 while being completely stuffed! Its worth the trip in and the service is quick and always with a smile!!! Now that we are moving we commented, "where will we get our sushi!?" Its fun for a group or date night, and they often participate with groupon which again allows you to get a lot of food for a little price! liz, medford

Although I dont live in this area now, this was one of my go to places when my mother and I wanted sushi. Most notably, when we wanted the New Zealand mussels. The sushi chefs really show their skill when you give them a listing of the flavors that you like and sushi and give them free reign and to make something not included on the menu. The convenient location allows you to go right across the street for Coldstone ice cream after dinner. Convenient location, although sometimes it can be difficult to find parking.

This location may not be the fanciest location in town, but the quality and presentation of the food holds its own. Ask for the Red Sox Roll -- Not on the menu, but absolutely devine. By far the best sushi I have had in a long time. There are also many other very unique items on the menu and the 3 plates I have had so far have been ambrosiac. (is that a word?) Not overpriced, and after spending a few weeks in Cambridge, it is almost a steal.

This place used to gardner 4 to 5 stars easily. However, the recent change not offering their lunch menu on the weekends is devastating. No longer can you get their delicious bento box except during the week. This has forced us to go to Fuji in Assembly that offers bento boxes on the weekends and a menu more appropriate and better priced for lunch. I hope they change their mind about offering the dinner menu as a lunch menu on the weekends :(

i actually like the location in Medford a lot more. For whatever reason I just liked the flavors of the rolls better there. Maybe when I cam into this location the fact that it was dead made it even less appealing, but hey at least everything came out quick. Really everything I had was perfectly average. If you are in the area dont hesitate to come in but I wouldnt go out of my way to come back to this location either.

I love this place. I usually go once a week after the gym since its right next door. The servers are nice and do not make you feel rushed. The fish is always fresh! They also offer sushi making classes that you can find a Groupon deal for! Highly recommend. Parking is available on the street, in a lot behind and there is a parking garage. But I always find a spot in the free lot.

Food is very nice, the sushi is fresh and testy. Servers are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is so so, by the way. I dont really understand the style of this restaurant. It is a kind of sushi place plus sport bar, which is a weird combination. I would like to prefer a family sushi place, with more light and better music. But food-wise, this place is awesome.

I have eaten a couple of times now at Yoki in Central Sq. I really like this place, its relaxed, not overly expensive and the food is very good. If you are looking for the for fancy and prepared to pay a lot for it then this place isnt it, but if you want very good food at very fair prices then give them a shot. Its my go to sushi spot now....

This was the best sushi Ive ever had. The Bruins Maki is out of this world, but then again Im a lover of spicy salmon. The spicy edamame is very good with just the perfect amount of heat. The prawn appetizer did not disappoint. The service is great. My drinks never ran empty and the waitress was so nice. I would recommend to friends.

I ate there last week and the food was horrible. I was terribly sick from the sushi that they served. Service was bad and managers seemed too concern with having their cigarette break. I parked behind the restaurant and noticed all the sushi chefs smoking in the back....not a good place to go if you ask me. I will never go back.

Sushi, tiki drinks, and dance music. Its a weird combination, but it works. The sports team themed maki are what we usually get, but everything else weve gotten has been excellent. Pretty much every entree dish comes with a small salad and miso soup (even the ramen), so if you dont want those be sure to specify. Great place!

This is my go-to sushi place. Prices are fair, service is good and I love the specialty makis! One perk - the place is big and you usually get a table even on a Saturday night - which I dont really understand since people queue at the Sushi place across the street for hours, and I actually like Yokis sushi a lot more.

I sat at the sushi bar in the back and the sushi chefs were very nice - service with a smile! The waitress was also good. Portion sizes are good and I love the brown rice for no extra charge! It was a fast dinner as my boyfriend had to run to make a movie time, but it was enjoyable and they got us out in a jiffy!

I love this place. They have an amazing sushi selection even among their sushi that doesnt have fish. Their non sushi items are also pretty good as well - Ive tried the pad Thai and teriyaki tofu. The service both times I went was prompt and everyone was super nice. Its a little pricey though ($14 for tofu pad Thai)

Yoki has a great, modern feeling atmosphere and a nice menu, including some higher end options (and several vegan options that do far better than the classic avocado or celery rolls) all for pretty reasonable prices. Through the week they have daily specials, so its worth keeping your eyes open for that days deal.
