Highest prices around, cheap ingredients and awful service. I dont know why anyone eats here, the menu is awful and the seafood was beyond repulsive. Forget the other reviews on here and head somewhere else to eat!!! Clearly the other people writing the reviews have never left the bubble town they live in, and their taste buds are completely gone. The only thing worth getting here is a mixed drink, and clam chowder. My girlfriend got the fried scallops, they were 100% frozen, grey and smelly. Ive worked in many kitchens and know fresh seafood like the back of my hand. Not to mention the scallops were market price and cost $28. Absolutely unacceptable for that price. I got a captains cut prime rib and it was more like a sliver of dog food grade roast beef. There was no marble, and the meat was tough. Not to mention it cost $31.99. The prices at this place are through the roof and the food is absolutely terrible. The prices resemble that of a premier steak and seafood restaraunt in the middle of Manhattan, but they are located on a clustered street in Marblehead with no view or parking. I could smell how cheap the owner of this establishment was by the prices and products they put forth. PLEASE READ THIS AND NEVER WALK INTO THIS ESTABLISHMENT, WE WERE BOTH HORRIFIED. Not to mention the waitress staff and what seemed to be the owners wife didnt know what they were doing to say the least.

The seafood was very good and it was fairly cheap considering the portions. We had the popcorn shrimp w/ jalapeno sauce as an appetizer. We got a mountain of shrimp and the jalapeno sauce was delicious! My fiance got a cup of clam chowder and the lobster macncheese. The cup was more like a bowl. The mac and cheese had a delicious bread crumb topping with large chunks of lobster claw stirred it in. I got the clam a roll. The plate was literally covered in fried clams. The roll and french fries were buried underneath somewhere. We had so much food that I had enough for lunch the next day.

Two very different universes here, a traditional New England dining room where you can get full lobsters and classic New England seaside fare. On the other side is a bar which has solid pub food, ok beer (they need to clean their lines more often), and a ton of locals. If you want to get to know Marblehead, theres no better place to get to know it than at this bar. By far the best Clam Chowder in the North Shore (theyve won several awards) also ANY seafood thats fried is good.

Visited Three Cod Tavern yesterday. Should say that lunch menu is very limited. and way too expensive for what we got. I ordered a Haddock plate. The fish piece was so small, less then 1/3 lb.....it cost around $17. ..ridiculous. Though food seemed freshly cooked I had a very bad heartburn the entire day after this lunch. Food was just average and absolutely overpriced! I would NOT try this place again any time soon.

I stopped in for a late lunch, and wasnt sure what to expect. The main restaurant was closed, but the bar was open. The staff recommended the halibut sandwich, which was superb, and more than I could eat. They had several local beers on tap and the bartender knew about them. There were several locals who seemed like regulars. The atmosphere was friendly and fun. Highly recommended!

I have been here several times...i did have a bad order of mussels (which can happen anywhere). The employees and owner were quick and understanding with removing the item from me and my bill. Their mac and cheese is amazing and it is my 9 y/o s favorite place to go. Had a nice quick drink with friend tonight. One of my fav spots in Marbelhead.

Great place in Marblehead Massachusetts enjoy an afternoon beer or cocktail. Chip and Sean the bartenders are great and the local clientele makes a person from Ohio feel right at home its always a pleasure to get great clam chowder for those of you who dont get a chance to get it back home

This is our favorite place in town. Food is simple and consistently good. Service is not amazing but not poor either...the whole experience is just straightforward and good. Out of town guests have always been happy when we send them there.

Worst service i have ever experienced. The waitress forgot to come give us the check. She was standing around chatting! We waiyed for around 30-40 minutes and we were about to leave without paying but she finally came.

If you enjoy an upscale pub atmosphere, this is a great place to visit. Good affordable food, nice comfortable atmosphere. Decent beer selection on tap.
