Excellent homemade, many flavored ice creams. Grill serves up fried clams, scallops, fish plates, hamburgers, fries, etc. Free soda refills. Kimbells Farms originated in Westford, Mass. and now has this location in Lancaster, Bedford, Ma., and Jaffery, New Hampshire. Jaffery and Lancaster have antique/sports car nights once a week. (Friday night here). The place is hopping with mostly sixties - seventies music with the DJ giving away prizes to lucky ticket holders that are displaying their car. The Westford Kimbells is quite the destination with water ride, arcade games, golf activities, little shop with special items natives and tourists like. Main draw has always been the ice cream and the large Kimbells Special Sunday is often shared by two. Open April to October with limited sales all year in Westford.

This place has quickly become an institution of sorts for my family. It always seems to be busy during the summer season but they still tend to move fast. So far, Ive been able to get ice cream within 10 minutes of going this summer. Your best bet is to go during mid afternoon during the lunch and dinner rushes. All window tills take cards. Bathrooms are located inside the store and are pretty clean. Good place to wash up after ice cream. Plenty of picnic tables to sit at in front and underneath a tent to the side. Ice cream is pretty expensive but every flavor Ive tried has been worth it. Try the Mocha Almond Assault or the Chocolate Raspberry Swirl.

I love Kimballs! Many different varietys of ice cream, and Cruise Night is awesome, a lot of different/cool cars. The food is always pretty good, my favorite would be there onion rings. Try them! The rest of the food menu Im not overly impressed with; Ive tried the pulled pork sandwich (pork was dry), the burgers (seemed like frozen patties), chicken strips (again, frozen from a bag) and a chicken sandwich which was just a grilled chicken breast on a bun. The food is also very expensive. Then again, I dont necessarily go to Kimball Farm for the food-I go for the ice cream and the atmosphere, especially on Cruise Night.

We used to frequent Kimbals in Lancaster before we moved away 3 years ago. A few nights ago we stopped for ice cream and it was as good as ever. Tonight we tried the lobster roll and fish and chips. Both were very disappointing. The lobster roll lacked taste and was expensive. The fish was overcooked and soggy. 20 minutes after the meal, I felt like there was a brick in my stomach. Just really under par. Very wet. And the plate shold have been called chips and fish. Two marginal pieces of fish over a large pile of unimpressive fries. Poor quality and too expensive. If you go i suggest you only get the ice cream.

Although this Kimballs doesnt have all the bells and whistles the Westford location does, it has the one thing I want more than anything from Westford - NO LINES. I have visited there twice now and each time I have been the second person in line with a wait no longer than 2 minutes. The Country Store is well lit, has plenty of knick-knacks, and also has a café in the back. I have yet to order food from the Grille, so I dont have a comment for that section, but Im assuming its good. I love it, but more importantly, my daughter loves it.

Was visiting the area and looking for a good breakfast spot. Saw they had a breakfast burrito and thought that sounded good. Drove across town and ordered it, only to be told that although it is listed on the menu behind the counter as well as on the website, it is an item they no longer serve. The high schoolers behind the counter were unapologetic and seemed not to be worried about correcting the menu. Dont come here with anything particular in mind, who knows what else they no longer serve that is still on their menu.

So my friends and I decided to go to Kimballs because we heard it was open for the summer season. And you know, we even checked online to make sure it really was open. However, as we pulled up, which was well before 10, the closing time, one of the employees left out the back. We clearly saw the employee in the store as we pulled up. Not to mention we had pulled up well before 10. Its just upsetting to see how someone wouldnt even give us a heads up that they were closing earlier than expected.

The food and ice cream are the best.We came from Worcester and others from Rhode Island. They remarked that it was a fantastic experience. I grew up with Kimballs in Westford Mass.. The car battery had died due to one leaving a door open when placing the over abundent delicious food into the car., so we w o uld have room for the mouth watering colorful ice cream the staff was so helpful resolving the above issue. Mr. Castro a true gentleman and MarAnn thank you God Bless

Tried to use their website to see if all locations have all the activities listed on their website had no luck with that, website poorly updated and operated !!! Food was ok but highly priced service was average! Lancaster location is just food, store, ice cream NO mini golf NO bumper boats NO activities as listed on their website not sure what other locations offer but we wont waste our time finding out!!

Like everyone else this place has become sort of a ritual for us... Every month or two in the summer we have to stop down for a giant plate of fried something... Its definitely expensive but always delicious. Hopefully they bring the mini golf here like they have in Westford! Dont forget some ice cream too... The portions are gigantic so we usually get kiddie sizes....

We eat at the Lancaster Kimballs at lease once a year and this year it was not a good experience. We ordered 2 lobster roll plates, the amount of lobster in the roll "excellent" but the lobster roll was made with "plain" lobster meat, no mayo or celery. ( not what We had years ago ) very disappointed. However, the captains plate is to die for.

Great auto show every Friday of summer. Ice cream is best deal. For over-the-counter fried seafood, burgers, dogs, etc., I find it too pricey for quality. Foods fine but should drop proces 10%. They charge as much for whole belly clams as you would pay for a full-service meal at the nicer Legal Seafood. Place has nice, outdoor atmosphere.

Kimballs has been doing it right long since before I was born. Any flavor of ice cream you pick is always fresh and out standing. The only problem with this place is size portions. The small ice cream is about the size of a softball. Best thing is dont believe my words. Go there and find out for yourself, you wont be disappointed.

Best ice cream on the planet. Careful with the sizes. Kiddie is like your normal medium, small is like a large and it gets bigger from there. There is a "Kimball Special" that you better consider sharing or going up a pant size. The thing is huge and anyone who orders one wears a big smile!

Great ice cream and seafood! BIG portions - come hungry. Hubby and I usually split a clam plate. Last week, Fishermans platter was split 4 ways with friends. With ice cream dessert, everyone was full! Ice cream sizes are very generous - go down a size from what you normally order.
