Food was incredible. We got the seaside sampler while waiting for the rest of our party. The crab cakes would give Faidleys a run for their money. Wings were delicious, not to hot but flavorful. The onion rings big and crispy. Bacon wrapped scallops tender and juicy. One daughter had a caesar salad, another lobster scampi, and her wife a daily special prime rib. All were ungodly huge portions, and they all loved them. My son had a burger, again huge. He brought some home, how often do you have leftover burger? My wife had the salmon, with asparagus and a potato side. Again huge portions, and she loved it all. My Mom and myself had fisherman platters. Wow, most places have a mound of fries and put the good stuff on top. Here there was small layer of fries and mounds of wholebelly clams, scallops, shrimp, and fish. Everything was cooked perfectly. Crispy where it was supposed to be, and juicy and tender where it needed to be. Bob our waiter was on top of everything, checking with us often. Yes its a bit loud because of the vaulted ceilings, but it adds to the charm. Great view of the ships too. Highly recommended.

Food is great, been there many times before. Unfortunately this time we had the pleasure of being waiting on by a very rude and inattentive waitress. She went over lobster fest specials and when my wife asked for a flier that she thought that she had seen, she was told by the waitress that there are no fliers and that my wife was mistaken. We asked for a few more minutes to decide at which point my wife grabbed the flier. When the waitress came back she said wow I guess we do have fliers, "you should keep it! So that you know next time. We do this all the time"....? After placing our order I watched her discuss a small time from her other table with another employee, definitely an awkward situation to sit next to. One would come to think "what can I do better to get a better tip?" Rather than badmouthing the customers. When asked the the check I asked if the place had military discount, the reply was" I am not sure, but I dont think so. We definitely should have one!" I dont know? I dont think so? I think you should check!!? All of this was followed by another 15 minutes of me waiting to pay the bill....

I cant say enough about our experience at the Seaport Grille. From the excellent service to the fresh ingredients prepared with careful attention to detail, we could not have been happier. I got the blackened haddock tacos with fresh slaw, every bite was heaven. Fresh made pico, perfectly flavored haddock cooked to perfection. My husbands salad was so fresh and the ratio of toppings to lettuce was perfect. I loved my margatita, made with fresh lime and agave. I could actually taste the tequila, which is rare these days. When I get a margarita I cant always, and need two because they are so weak, not the case here. We tend to never get dessert unless we love our meals, so of course we ended up getting a piece of coconut cake. I felt like I was eating a piece of wedding cake, so dense and delicious, served with rum raisin ice cream, the perfect end of our visit.

It goes without saying the food and atmosphere is wonderful. Every time we have gone it has been consistently fabulous. But what prompts this review was our server Louie. We were a party of twelve. Lots of requests, people arriving at different times and joining. Probably a servers nightmare. But Louie was extremely pleasant, attentive, fun and professional. Brought water before we had to ask, cleared plates immediately, thought of every detail to make our experience top notch. My husband and I dine out three times a week and have never written a review for any restaurant. But my family and I were so overly impressed with Louie I feel it was definitely warranted!

Terrible bar service and mediocre cuisine. Table server was approachable, prompt, and polite. The entrees were substantial but well over-cooked. After sharing three modest rounds of drinks, the table was cut off without incident. I was visiting with family from out of town, and was very embarrassed and humiliated by the lack of tactful service. This restaurant/bar must be a great stepping stone into the aging retirement community but with little appeal to the SC

To start my server never went over the specials for the day as she did with the people that sat down next to me. I ordered clam chowder and the haddock sandwich. I specifically asked for the cowder to come out before the sandwich. I got the chowder after a 10 minute wait it was insanely hot and 2 minutes after I got it a woman came over and practically threw the haddock sandwich at me. The chowder was very good (after it cooled down) but the haddock was tasteless which was a shame becuase it was very fresh and cooked perfectly. The meal was ok but certainly not worth the $22 + tip it cost. KE

Nice views IF you can snag a table by the windows or on the deck (we didnt want to wait for that long). Nice waitress (Christine?). Very busy. Quite expensive for what it is (which is par for the course in this area, I gather). I had fried Ipswich clams, which tasted a little strange to me, tasted like fish guts (maybe because Im not used to full-belly clams). I didnt eat them all, which is saying A LOT about how much I didnt enjoy them. My mother had steak, which looked a bit too rare for what she asked for. SH

So very disappointed. the lobster roll was stale, the lobster meat tasted like it was previously frozen (no flavor) and the french fries were over cooked (tasted like they were reheated). A very disappointing Lunch.....waitress delivered our order in less than 5 minutes.....then we never saw her again until she asked if we wanted dessert or the bill........price went up from 9.99 to $12.95 - not worth the drive all the way up to Gloucester.. Probably the worst meal Ive had on the North Shore. How do you charge $12 for a beet salad made with canned boiled beets. The truffle french fries were limp and tasted like it had cornstarch instead of parmasean cheese, lobster pie was dry and buried under breadcrumbs and the crab cakes were made mostly of bread crumb filler. Only saving grace was the amount of wine in a glass pour and the scallops wrapped in bacon. LA

If you have food allergies, I would recommend not eating at the Seaport Grille. When I placed my order I told the server that I was allergic to nuts and peanuts, and she assured me that my meal would be safe to eat. However, I had an allergic reaction after just a few bites, and was charged $.01 on the bill for my allergy. What was supposed to be a fun night out with family ended in a trip to the ER. PA

I went here for lobster, odered surf and turf, their version, lobster pie was over cooked, filet was good , loved the bernais sauce, the scalloped potatoes where supposed to be cheesy but were not and both the broc and potatoes where cold right out of the kitchen. The meal cost $42.00, and $2.00 for soda. I would say stay away, expensive and not what I would expect fron this caliber resturant.
