I was very sceptical with the review I read going into this restaurant also was my friend. I had a gift certificate and we decided to give it a chance. The bar area was nicely done and the restaurant very clean. The hostess was very pleasant and our waiter was wonderful. He was very attentive and so was the bus boy and girl also cannot forget the table side cutter that deboned the fish he was very nice also. The staff worked well with each other. The salads were very good nice portion and not drownding in dressing. The calamari was old world style made and light not heavy. The meals consisted of salmon, veal chop, fish encrusted in sea salt searved table side and deboned. stuffed chicken and raviolis. So we cover every base as far as food. we waited a bit for the food, but when its made to order you expect the wait and it does state that on the menu. Our fault we should have put the order in with the app order. We were not in a rush and we expected the wait. I heard no complaints from any one in our party each meal was excellently made and perfectly cooked. Very good portion size and no one left hungry. We were here on a Saturday if that makes a diffrence with the chef. I can say Im glad I didnt listen to some of the review that were written because it was an excellent experience all around. A little on the high side but I wouldnt say outrageuos compared to most of the restaurants we frequent. Average entree $25

"Dont waste your money. Service non existent (even thought there were tons of empty tables). Food not as described My wifes meal was not as advertised on the menu. The $28 Angus steak was pure fat and gristle. We were just going to pay and leave. We did not complain. We did not confront them. They asked why we did not eat our meals. As we were leaving the waitress asked what was wrong with my steak, I told her, she said to her fellow waitress, "another one", implying that this has happened before. Back at our table waiting for the bill, we were surrounded by the owner, his nephew or son, and the waitress, basically yelling at us that we were wrong. No discount on the bill. As we were leaving the son or nephew exited the restaurant after us shouting Italian expletives, and unique finger and arm gestures. I thought he was coming out to apologize. After the young mouthpiece was through, papa mouthpiece came out to further insult out intelligence with additional Italian colloquialisms. The fact that they did this in front of what little customers they had, will surely further cull their herd of patronage. All in all it was worth the $100 to now have the ultimate WTF restaurant story."

20 years I have been a customer. Last night was the most insulting experience. I ordered FRESH GRILLED SARDINES, and was served DRIED CANNED ANCHOVIES, the waitress did not know the difference and neither did the cook. My spaghetti with clam sauce(white) which was in the menu as littlenecks, was served with soft shell Ipswich steamer clams, sand and all! My friend ordered MARINARA sauce and was served oily spaghetti with two cooked tomatoes! The waitress was more than lazy, she was in reverse! She never apologized for the sardine mistake and charged me for fresh sardines. Who serves pasta without grated cheese? Ponti Vecchio! I had to beg to three different waitresses for a tsp of grated cheese, hello are u an Italian Restraunt or a sister company to the Olive Garden? Gordon Ramsey knew what we did not. So, enjoy the NEW look, and the same old 18$ pizza and 16$ salads! Overpriced, Overated

Im never going back to this restaurant again. Not only did our waiter have no idea what type of alcohol is served at the restaurant, but he forgot my girlfriends drink and then asked if she still wanted it 20 minutes later. Worst of all, their Florentine has tomatoes and peppers -- unheard of as far Im concerned, which my girlfriend ordered...giving her heartburn to the apparent apathy of the waitstaff. In terms of complaints, we were not alone; we overheard at least three other tables complaining about the food, waiting for their check, etc. Overall, the impression we got was that this was an establishment full of people who have never run a restaurant before. If you want Italian food, go somewhere else.

My family and I visited Ponte Vecchio for the first time for our Dads birthday. I cannot say enough about the friendly, attentive wait staff, some of whom spoke Italian, so it made us feel right at home! The diversity of our dishes allowed us to try a little bit of everything from chicken, to fish, to pasta, and pizza. Everything was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its ambience, food, waitstaff, location and parking ease. What a great place to eat!

I live close by and eat here often. I have been cooking professionally for 20 years and love eating and love great food. The food at Ponte Vecchio is the best you will find within 15 miles of the restaurant. Consistently delicious. Would stand up against any Italian food Ive eaten in Boston, New York, or Europe. It is very neighborhoody and the decor is a little suburban/unsophisticated but I can live with that. The food is always outstanding.

I was a little suspicious when I saw that it was across the street from the Honda dealership and part of a strip mall, but this place was really surprisingly delicious! Great Italian food, great service, white table cloths and napkins. it seemed like a lot of families who had been coming here for ages were at tables nearby. The owner came by the tables and said something nice and seemed so lovely. A really lovely family spot.

I have been there at least 100 times over the past ten years. The food was outstanding at each visit. The owner Luigi and his staff work extremely hard to please. The quality, texture and taste is second to know. In this age of corporate owned restaurants its nice to patronize a locally owned and managed restaurant, that produces good food and personalized service.

THE BEST FOOD BY FAR. The appetizers and entrees were perfectly prepared and the desserts decadent. I was never a fan of tiramisu, all I can say is mouthwateringly delicious. I will certainly not be going anywhere else to satisfy my tastebuds. Thumbs up for great food and service.

Fantastic Food! Terrible service, disorganized wait staff. Food was great, I will give it one more chance, the waiter was the worst I have ever had. But I still tipped appropriately.

Thought it looked nice. Went in and wait staff ignored us for a solid 10 minutes. We were never talked to or seated. Eventually we walked out
