The food is very good. The lady and I went twice. Dinner last night was, for me, the 12 oz sirloin (rare) with a baked potato. For her, country fried steak with fries. The steak was cooked perfectly and was a quality cut of sirloin. No gristle at all. The country fried steak was a little overdone (and hard) on one edge, but was good overall. Breakfast consisted of the "Fifties Special" (basically a Grand Slam) for me and a patty melt for her. No complaints, except the pancakes were kinda waxy on the outside. The home fries were delicious and the bacon came as ordered (burnt black). They give the option for less than well done hamburgers, and my lady likes hers medium rare. So, score! The service is variable. My dinner waitress had us on the "pay no mind" list from start. She brought the wrong side for me, forgot my ladys fry sauce, and I had to retrieve our refills, which she overfilled to the point I couldnt carry them without spilling some. The breakfast waitress was much better. The dinner waitress is the only reason I took off a star. Good food, fair prices, clean establishment, fun ambience.

We had gone there last nite for the very first time about 830pm or so. There were 2 waitress working, well i shall say one. One waitress just stood there and said the waitress would be right with you and walked away. The service was slow, the food was good, prices are fairly good. I can say as we were sitting there, a customer came in, same waitress who wasnt really doing anything was standing at register and didnt even acknowledge him about 10 min in the customer had to get up to ask for a menu, if that was me i would have left. She could have taken 2 seconds of her time to give the customer a menu. The counter was dirty and again the one waitress just stood around and finally the other waitress cleaned up the counter and help the rest of the customers. Ill go back for a second try but if still same service i wont be going back.

First time I tried to eat here the hostess tried to get my order since the waitresses were more interested in flirting with some other guests but they stopped her attempt, still waiting several minutes later I left to eat across the street at McDonalds. Today I thought Id give it another try. I think with more help on duty Samantha would ordinarily be a good waitress however she was stretched to thin from table to table patrons would distract her asking for extras or things she forgot. She would at least make eye contact with me and mouth words to me letting me know I hadnt been forgotten, however some things did and for that I didnt tip my usual 25% I give for good service. I think shes probably a great waitress that should look to a more upscale eatery and make a better living.

I just ate at a cheesy fifties diner in a truck stop.... Out of nowhere, I just had the best hamburger I have ever had in my life. I ordered it medium, it came out medium with the perfect amount of char and it was delicious. its always those times when you expect nothing that life throws you a curveball and hands you something extraordinary, also, the waitress was great and it seemed that she had been there for quite some time. thanks fifties diner for the best hamburger Ive ever had

*****Food was great!! Server Kali...Wow beautiful and sweet. *****WATCH YOUR TICKET*****AT the bottom by tax is $1.59 non alcoholic beverage charge. That is bogess. And that charge is per customer. I ask the 2 truckers sitting next to me. They had $3.18 non alcoholic beverage charge. Was explained as a tax. But the tax was listed. Not bashing this place. But fair is fair. And at $1.59 extra per person. Over a year. Thats quite a profit. (STOLEN)

Went there for supper last night the pork chop dinner was awesome. Thought I would go back for breakfast it was the worst. Asked for eggs over hard must of put them on the hottest part of grill because I got a fried eggs that were still raw inside. The bacon tasted like cardboard they were deep fried. The potatoes were deep fried also . And toast overdone and dry. The wait staff was slow. Breakfast staff needs help supper was great.

I wasnt impressed. I got the distinct impression from the wait staff that I wasnt wanted there. They kept putting off taking my order though they had all kinds of time for the two gentlemen in the booth next to me. No napkins and no silverware. When I did get napkins, they were half wet. The food was fine when I eventually got it. Needless to say, I ate quickly and left. I wont be back.

Went for breakfast this morning, it was the worst. I had an awful stomach ache after. As someone else said... great if you want a colon cleanse. The server was nice, but the food was horrible. I had a hair in my eggs, the sausage links looked like they were dropped in the fryer. This was my first and last time here, definitely not worth the money I spent.

This is a great place to put it mildly. There is something to please everyone and their prices are utterly amazing! The quality and quantity of the food makes this place well worth the trip.. Why pay more for less at other places??? I live about 70 miles away and will be sure to stop here whenever I am in the area.

Server was super sweet (Katherine) recommended the teriyaki steak. OMG it was cooked to perfection. I normally am not a huge fan of marinated steak in teriyaki but this is freaking amazing. And it was cook just how it should be, medium rare. This is definitely a place i will make a point to come back to when ever i am in the area.

Fifties is a great place to stop going to and going home. My work days are long, its nice to be greeted by name. All of your servers are great. Only thing, corn is not a vegetable, yet that is generally what is served, something green would be nice, collard greens, spinach, Brussels sprouts... get my drift?
