Food: oh where to begin... 1. French onion soup: so, we ordered it at 11am, but if they didnt have any made then they could have just said so. What came out was onions boiled in a chicken broth, with a poppy seed bagel (untasted) covered in mushy Mozzarella cheese. 2. Pancakes: tasted like... Ice cream cones. Couldnt even finish mine, they soaked up the minimal syrup and became little explosions of sugar doom. 3. Chocolate milkshake: tasted like Dixie cup, but in a way we all agreed was delicious. Pretty small though. 4: French fries: acceptable-ish. Not crispy, not warm, but by far the most edible item on the table. 5: salmon sandwich thing: the fish afficianado at the table insisted it was tuna, but hes 16. Most importantly, we found several inches of intact spine in the fish mush. Which ruined everything. Maybe this is a usual thing but omg it was not appetizing to say the least. The waitress insists that since its from a can, its not their fault an didnt offer to comp the meal or get another sandwich. Prices are exorbitant. Not coming back here again.

The Peconic Diner was terrible. The service was even worse. The waitress did not seem interested in serving anyone until a table full of guys walked in, then she perked up a bit. The French onion soup was horrible and caused me to have an upset stomach. My crock of soup was mostly oil and onion, there was one small piece of bread in it and the melted cheese was evident on the outside of the crock but nowhere to be found on top of the soup where it was supposed to be. I found the cheese melted at the bottom of the crock encased in Bay Leaves... 4 of them... Overall bad place, I definitely will not be stopping there again... Lesson learned.

Food was alright. Nothing to either complain or write home about. Service was fine. Ordered two full dinner meals. Salad was small. I mean how cheap can you be with lettuce and cucumbers? No bread basket given. Had to ask for a basket and got one tiny loaf that equals two pieces. Some diners give you the chickpeas, cole slaw and pickles dish while waiting for your meal. Nothing from this place. Meal was fine but again a little small. I would go here again if I was in the area but thankfullu it was a passing stop. Wouldnt be my top choice.

It is what it is, an old diner that hasnt been updated, patrons are townies, and the food is not the best; but the menu is huge, so much to choose from. That being said, it was nice to sit in air conditioning, ice cold water, very nice people, and less expensive than most places out here (that isnt a chain). Go if you want fast, very fast service and if everyone wants something different. Dont go if youre particular or would get annoyed if the food isnt fabulous. Its okay, hit the spot.

Everything felt rushed. I was waiting for a friend to arrive and the waitresses glared at me because I hadnt ordered anything in the first 5-10 minutes I sat there. Then the food came out like they had just thrown it on a plate. Pancakes were decent though.

The food was really poorly made and of very poor quality. The soups did not taste as they should. The gyro meat tasted like it was sitting in a tray all day. Its also expensive to boot. Pick another spot and save your stomach the trouble.

The food is typical of a Diner, nothing special, but the service is horrible. The waitresses are argumentative and rude while you are forgotten in favor of a larger party (tips). This was my second visit and a carbon copy of the first.

Went with a friend on a sat night roughly 8pm, friendly’s had a line out the door. This place had good food, good service. We both got from the dinner specials, seafood for him & steak for me and the food was right out. Would try again.

Friendly staff & sweet waitress. Food is not very good though. Unless you order a basic egg & toast breakfast meal, their meats do not taste fresh & homemade, but rather bought in bulk & frozen.

Waited 40 minutes before getting food. No free refills on anything except coffe. Burger had no taste neither did the veggie panini. Wont be returning.
