Never had been in this place before but went here on a Saturday night and it was pretty good! Typical local Irish bar in the center of Brighton with a lively locals scene and a great cover band playing everything from 70s to 90s classics. The place was crowded with just the right mix of people from the locals to the city dwellers coming out to this area to check out this scene. The good news about this place, it has two sides if you dont want to listen to the band and dance, you can go to the other side and watch sports or sit in the back and chat. Service was on par for a crowded bar and drinks were priced right!

Green Briar is a bit of a cliche and even comes equipped with the occasional authentic Irish lad behind the bar. The facilities are well kept and the space is by no means small. But there isnt much that sets Green Briar aside. The tap selection is adequate, the cocktail menu is standard and the food isnt anything to write home about. The live music nights tend to draw large crowds but are rather unremarkable. If you want loud music, okay drinks, and middle of the road prices, this may be the place for you. But why bother when theres a lot better offerings down the road?

My favorite eatery in Boston! Great atmosphere, warm pub feel, and excellent food! Seating is readily available and we particularly like to stop by to commemorate Irish occasions. The staff/management is very accommodating and even when weve had slight hiccups with our orders, they are courteous in remedying things and have made us feel valued as customers! My wife and I have fond memories at The Green Briar and its been one of the institutions of our time living here! Love it!

The Green Briar is the place to be on Monday nights if you live in Brighton. While its worth going to for the food and drink (although the chocolate cake is pretty dry, the other dishes Ive had are delightful!) the real attraction is the live Irish music. The pub opens up to all local musicians and anywhere from 15-40 Irish local Irish musicans come to jam together. Its always a wonderful experience.

If you are looking for a solid pub that plays rugby in the Brighton area, this is the spot. Pretty classic Irish fair and they pour a great pint of Guinness. The fish and chips plate is extra crispy and the bangers are juicy with a good casing that snaps when you bite into them. On weekends you can also get them to play rugby on the TVs. There is a lot of street parking on the side streets nearby.

I love going here. I go every Wednesday for trivia night and have a blast. The atmosphere is good, there is a ton of space, and they even have a spot where you can play corn hole(been bag toss) aside from the normal pool and darts. They are also able to accommodate parties which is great because my work had their annual party here anyway.

Cozy Irish bar with great food! Ive visited twice now and we tried the fried pickles, clam chowder, and pretzels with beer cheese appetizers which were all delicious. For entrees, the beef stew and fish n chips were large portions and delicious. Highly recommend. They also serve original Strongbow cider on tap, a plus!

Ive been to the Green Briar on a couple occasions. The best times were just going to hang out with some friends and for a work function. The bar staff is very friendly and efficient. Its a nice Irish Style pub with a great atmosphere for relaxing and having a good time with friends and family.

The Briar is the epitome of an Irish pub which makes it great. The place is always packed with regulars which gives it a homey feel and it is one of the few places that can make a good darknstormy! The food is also excellent-I recommend the steak tips and soft pretzel appetizer, personally.

I frequent the briar with a group of friends every once in a while, and its your typical pub. Not that great of a beer selection, and the food is mediocre. not a bad place to stop for a few drinks and hanging out, but there are definitely better options in the area.

Monday night is my favorite night. If you want a chilled atmosphere with great Irish music, this is the place. The bartendars are always friendly and ready to take your order. Plus in the summer they do have the garden out back if you want some outdoor space.

VERY busy, but good drink selection! I loooove the Strongbow cider. Emily the waitress is the BEST. I go for trivia every week or so - my favorite menu item is the margarita pizza or the fries. Weve tried everything, but those are our go-tos!

Best bar in city. Local bar with great atmosphere always a hottie or two hanging out at the bar. The greatest bartenders in the city of MA maybe even the Eastern hemisphere. Shout-out to Jackie, Tara, Mari, and Vinnie.

Its an average Irish pub. It is small inside, but the atmosphere is really good. We had a high school reunion here, and it went really well. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and the staff is really nice.
