I would not give this place a half Star rating. Disgusting. My husband and I were there last night. Ordered white clam chowder and red clam chowder along with a dozen clam cakes. After waiting 40 minutes, the server brought out my red chowder and clam cakes. She said it was going to be longer for the white chowder. We lost it at that point. Another 10 minutes and his chowder finally came out. By that time I already decided not to eat the dark brown chowder loaded with bay leaves I was served. The white chowder was dark grey. It was cream of mushroom soup doctored up with a few clams. It was amazing how fast our server was when we demanded the check. We asked her to convey a message to the chef...quit, retire, go back to cooking school or find another profession. Honestly, if anyone gives this place a good rating you must be good friends of the owner or you have never gone beyond the boundaries to taste some real clam cakes and chowder. Its not being served here.

Omg, dont recommend, wife and I decided to try this place, she order special 1, I ordered shore b, basicly, a bowl of white with 4 cakes, 1 stuffy, and mine included a fish and chip, we sat down at 5:30, our drinks appetizers and meal was order in less than 10 minutes, we got cashed out at 7:35, because everything we order came out one item at a time with 20 minutes between, we spent 75% of our time wondering were our meal was, but I can say this, great white chowder, never again sorry this place sucks.... Waitress was good., slitghy pricey..,...

I left a more in depth review on their FB page, but long story short, been there 2 times. Both times the woman who runs it was rude. One time berating the waitress helping me at the window in front of me. The second, not honoring a price they had posted in the menu pics on FB. She said it wasnt updated, and asked "do you want it, or not?" I said no, and walked away with nothing. I will never go again. When asking others what they thought around bellingham, a good portion feel exactly the same.

Ive been there this year. Their red chowder (didnt even try the white) was AWFUL -- it seems they can not find a good recipe and stick with it. This year they served it with RAW potatoes -- when have you EVER had a soup, stew or chowder with raw vegetables? No, it was not an accident because I complained. Their fried food, for the past 3-4 years has been decent -- not super greasy as in past years. I go there a couple times during the season, but never for their chowder.

Ive been going to the C. B. since I was about 4 yrs. old. Went last night with Sandy & Pearl and had a great time. Chowder, clam cakes, baked fish, lobster roll, ice cream all good. I remember the days where youd have to take a number to be seated and the family would wait for hours. It was kind of quiet last night, that made me sad. Go down and have lunch or dinner at the "Chowder Bowl"!

Thier clam cakes are good, however chowder is not something I would ever try again ( white ) it tasted nothing like white clam chowder. The wait time at the outside window was 25 mins just for cakes and chowder. However like i said the clam cakes were good. Dont know if we will be back. May try one more time and update this rating if better.

Went yesterday and the food was TERRIBLE. The red chowder was brown. White chowder was not creamy. Looked like they added some milk to the clear chowder. Clear chowder was over spiced. Lobsters was rubbery. Stuffier was soggy and no clams. Steamers were so hugh that I had to chew forever.

Great food! Its the only place to get the good old fashion RI red chowder and clam cakes. The specials are great and a real good buy; drinks, food and desert all for one reasonable price. Nice atmosphere, you can sit inside or outside. Weve been going there for 50 years!

Not good. The food was over priced and the portions were small. The food was poorly cooked. Out of everything we got only the chowder and fries was ok. We had clam cakes, fish and chips, fried oyster and fries clams. Would not recommend.

Love the atmosphere! But food is not good for the the price. Friendly staff just under staffed or something because it took forever!!! And the forgot our rolls and salad! Good clam cakes. Chowder tasted like low tide.

Nice place, prices are good, very friendly staff, has a nice setup to eat outside if you choose. Red Chowder was delicious. Best Clam Cakes I have had in awhile. We will be going back here.
