For the past two years Ive been walking over to the Dream Diner most every weekend for breakfast, but no more. The service here has steadily declined over the past few months to the point where this morning it was literally nonexistent. They used to have a great group of cheerful, attentive and competent waitresses (Kathryn & Jen in particular) who all worked together and made sure that I was taken care of, even if I wasnt at their station on that day. But one by one, they have each moved on. My past few visits have been moderately disappointing, on any given day having to wait for beverage service, or meal order, or check receipt, or sometimes all three. In a word, the service lately has been inattentive. Todays visit was the worst, as I sat at the counter for a good fifteen minutes before even being approached, actually yelled at as the waitress passed by, to ask if I wanted coffee. And then it was another five minutes before the waitress came back and casually asked if I wanted any food. Duh! Why else would I be in a diner at 7:30 in the morning? The place wasnt yet busy, there were a total of four people seated at the counter, so theres no real excuse for the lack of service. There were plenty of waitresses there and maybe the problem was just with the one who was covering my area, but this type of experience seems to have become the norm on my recent visits. I decided to cut my losses, paid for the beverage and walked away for probably the last time. There has been a turnover of grill cooks the past few months here as well, and the food preparation has varied accordingly, never quite the same from week to week. I used to really look forward to my visits here. It had small town charm, and a great staff who could be counted on for consistent service, week after week, but management has let all of that slip away, and squandered that which made this place special, the people. What a shame.

Great food and though it was crowded with every table full and a line of 8 people, we were seated within 10 minutes. Service was amazing (the owners mother but boy did she hustle!). Everyone smiling, joking, first name basis overall atmosphere was really amazing and fun. Very clearly MANY repeat customers. Decor of an old 60s diner, and playing 60s on 6 from XM Radio. Was stuffed on the food by the time we left. Generous helping of eggs benny, plus a great-tasting sweet potato pancake. Plus homemade muffins (made right there). Free coffee (delicious) including even while youre waiting for a table. We were very impressed. It would be our weekly weekend breakfast place if it werent 30 minutes away, though I suspect well make the trek anyway as it was that good and the prices were more than reasonable. Go, you will NOT be disappointed!

Tried this a few times before venturing to Nashua (where we found some great places). The staff is friendly here, but youd expect that when your customers have to wait 45 minutes to get two omelettes and a bagel sandwich. Weve been there 4 times and its always been a 45 minute wait from ordering->food. Its usually been busy but not a line out the door. Omelettes were OK, but Id caution against the benedict - somewhere there (sign/menu - i forget) it announced they have the best benedict in the area. I guess the market is weak nearby, because this thing was terrible. Eggs were cooked through, ham was dry, and the hollandaise wasnt so much hollandaise as some sort of mayonais-ey yellow sludge (yes, I know hollandaise and mayonnaise are similar in that they are both egg-based emulsions, but they shouldnt taste THAT similar).

Went to this diner today since I had never been so me and my family decided to try it out our goal is to alway go somewhere new. Boy let me tell you I was glad we came to this place! We were waited on by a waitress by the name of Doreen and having the experience with her was like ya going into her home and having her serve us that’s how comfortable we felt the tended to every want and need of our family and everyone was generously accommodated and you don’t find that in most places today but doreen is definitely one of a kind and she should be a treasure to this company I will make sure to be coming back just For her alone! Doreen I don’t know if you see this I want to personally thank you for the best Expierence if a life time and I will be sure to make this a spot I tell all friends and family to come here as well

We were able to seat ourselves. Very nice server greeted us with coffee and then it went down hill from there. Our waitress never came to the table, after waiting 15 min we finally was able to get the attention of the server; who apologized immensely and took our order. Then we waited, and waited and watched other tables, who sat right abefore our order was taken, already getting there food. Most of the tables the sat after us were already eating and in one case has already paid and was leaving. As far as the food, We got omelets which were very good. The potatoes were not our favorite but we tend to enjoy the pan fries that are cooked to have a crispy side, these were all very soft/mooshy. Toast was unremarkable. In all we were happy to try some place new but most likely will not be returning.

I hate to give this as a rating as I have been eating here from time to time since I was 12. Dream diner went from mediocre breakfast foods with a great friendly fast paced atmosphere to terrible food with a hurried get your food and the heck out, atmosphere. So sad. I dont know what happened. The last time we ate there is now the last time we will eat there. Everything we ordered must have been cooked side by side and they got cinnamon sauce from someones French toast in my asparagus omelette. It was cooked into my omelette. I couldnt eat it, when I brought it to their attention they said oh sorry but you probably dont have time now for us to make a fresh oneand walked away before I could reply. Not one person our party was able to have a decent meal for various reasons, but that was mine.

I had brunch at Dream Diner for the first time today (and it certainly wont be the last). Our lovely waitress Doreen made sure that everyone welcomed us on our first visit by announcing it to the whole restaurant. We even got a little sign on our table that said "Say Hi to our first timers!" There were many other first timers there today, so there was a lot of clapping and waving. On Doreens recommendation I ordered the sweet potato pancakes with bananas and white chocolate chips and they were excellent! No syrup needed. Although there was a bit of a wait because its a small restaurant and my pancakes were a little on the pricey side for a diner (though very yummy), it was definitely worth a trip. The atmosphere was very warm and friendly. Im looking forward to my next visit!

Food was average. Canned hash. Had to send the omelet back to get onions in it that were not raw. Coffee taste was weak and bitter, so refused. Pancakes, including their featured sweet potato cakes, are from sacks of dry mix. All female wait staff (why?) was very friendly and attentive. However, I noticed they were all wearing old uniform dresses (without aprons) with stockings and pumps. Reason given when I inquired was ,the uniforms were a condition of employment intended to add 50s authenticity, tough considering the fan blade covers were psychedelic and the music was from the 60s. Hey, let your wait staff wear practical slacks with aprons to keep their own clothes clean!
